  1. Jeff, The registration form only offers "30 amp Eletric only". Weren't you on the Parking Crew in Madison? Are you Volunteering in Perry? If so Contact Doug Uhlenbrock, Convention Volunteer Coordinator and ask him. Herman
  2. Carl, When you are putting a screw back in, always start them by hand. This way the threads will go back to the original cut. Too many times with a power screw driver will break down the wood fibers and leave no strength to hold a screw tight. Remember what ever you put on to keep a screw tight, might also prevent it from being able to be removed if needed to be done again. If a screw hole is really loose you can always insert a toothpick in the hole before reinserting the screw. Small holes use a flat toothpick and a round one on larger holes. Good luck, Herman
  3. David, While parked at the folks house, assuming you will be parked at their home, you might get a heavy extension card an plug the coach in. It will give you enough power to keep the batteries charged while you leave the furnace on. At my mother-in-laws house before she passed I had wired a 30 amp plug for the coach in her garage. I did the same for our sons home in Cheyenne but did a 50 amp there. See you in Perry. Herman
  4. Speaking of drains, when storing the coach for an extended period of time it helps to pour RV Anti Freeze down each drain. Water held in the traps can evaporate over time and the tank odors migrate into the coach. The anti freeze will not evaporate and will just flush away when use begins again. Herman
  5. It appears you have the coach fixed. And if you keep the Blue Bell soft you wont have to worry about fixing the teeth. Hope to see you in Perry, Noble Herman
  6. randiegreen, Has it been this way since you have had the coach or is it something new? You might find some place with an inspection camera and have them examine the drain. There are several thing that can cause slow drain, clogged with hair, manufacturing debris, miss alignment so many things. I would contact Tiffin anyway. One thing you might try is filling the pan till it backs up and try an old fashion "Plunger". It may unclog the drain. It may not help but it can't hurt to try. Herman
  7. POP, You may run your Aqua Hot on electric. It has a heating element that will keep you in hot water and heat the coach. It is a lot quiter than the heat pumps. They say the HPs will function down into the mid thirties. One thing you need to do with your Aqua Hot is to exercise it at least once a month, year round and have it serviced once a year.
  8. vrich, Welcome to the Forum. If you have a latch on each side of the door, will that one release or it it just loose? If it will release at all you may be able to pull it out enough to get a hook in and loop (a streached out clothes hanger comes to mind) the other side and possiably get the stuck latch to release. Also is that bay a pass through? if so you can unload, it crawl through and release it from the inside. If not by any chance does the compartment beside the stuck bay have a wall between them? If not go through there. After you do get the door opened be sure and luberciate all moving parts on ALL you latches. Good Luck, Herman
  9. Had radiator problem and contacted Source Eng. They were a bit pricey for me. ($3,700 plus shipping) had Inland Truck R&R the radiator. They sent it to a shop in Dallas and it was recored for $1,600. From all I have heard Source Eng. Is a great company. Herman
  10. Joe, I just saw large 60" umbrellas on sale at Sam's for $4.95 + tax. This way you can go out the door first (get wet) then open the umbrella so the DW may exit without getting soaked. Cost less and you can score well needed points with her. Herman
  11. Bill, We have the Aqua Hot in our coach and had problem after problem. Finally Lloyd DeGerald found the problem. Since Lloyd repaired the unit in Madison it has worked like a charm. Aqua Hot is a great system but requires a lot of tender loving care. Serviced every year and exercised at least once a month. As for running the generator while going down the road for heat or a/c, the DW and I have a curtain that we put up behind our seats when traveling down the road. It keep the heat and or the cool from the dash unit up front. When we are close to our destination we might crank up the gen. to run the A/C to cool the coach down or turn on the Aqua Hot to warn up the coach. A properly functioning Aqua Hot will give you instant and unlimited Hot Water and will warm the coach from floor vents. It will used the heat from the engine to keep the unit warm when traveling, will operate on both diesel and electric. All in all I will give it a thumbs up. Herman
  12. Now Carl, you know how your nails chip just after you have had your manicure. Herman
  13. KL, Thanks for the update. Glad you solved your problem. Herman
  14. Gerard, If you plan on using a auxiliary brake that requires power, it would be best to run a charging wire from the coach. However with the proper wiring you don't need power from the tow vehicle for the lights. You can have them wired to operate separately. And Welcome to Towing. By the way Gerard, are you a member of a Chapter? Herman
  15. KL, Do you have a way to watch the amperage draw when you are running the generator and then turn on the A/C? It would be nice to know what the amperage draw is when the compressor starts. You may need to contact both the A/C Mfg. and Onan. Good luck. It may be cool now, but it want be long before you will need the A/C everyday. Herman
  16. Briarcliff, Welcome to the Forum. When looking to see whither a vehicle is towable one need to do a little research. TOW BARS, do any manufacturer make base plate for that particular vehicle. TOWING GUIDES, several organizations publish towing guides each year, FMCA and Good Sam's comes to mind. And the VEHICLE MFG., what does the manufacturer say. If all of the above are negative then a Tow Dolly for FWD and or a car hauler trailer. Or last but not least look for a different vehicle. Herman
  17. FYI, Gorilla Tape, I have never found such a strong tape before. It is clear and tough. The windshield on my Golf Cart cracked in Half. I needed the cart in Conroe. I went to Lowe's and found the Gorilla tape. Put the windshield together with a strip on both sides and I swear it is stronger then before. It might just be the tape to hold the labels on the wheels as Bill mentioned. You might even be able to put the PSI on the wheel with a permanent marker and cover it with Gorilla Tape.
  18. Kl, How many amps does your ac pull on shore power? Herman
  19. Chuck, I would also check with several of the Tow Bar manufacturers to see if they even make a tow bar for the 2013 Mazda 2. Even though some vehicles have manual transmissions, that doesn't mean they can be towed 4 down (flat). Many need the primary shaft turning for lubrication purposes. I'm not sure that Remco has a pump for a manual transmission but I'm sure they can make a drive shaft disconnect. Herman
  20. For a while don't stand too close to Carl.
  21. Once again there is more proof that, "Necessity is the Mother of Inventions". Nice info. Tom. Herman
  22. When each of you has a chance google The Tomb Guard. I don't know may people that could do what these wonderful service men do to be a Guard. God Bless each of them. Herman
  23. That finely explains it. The Titanic was built to submarine specs. Herman
  24. jsramback, If you contact CC for your ride height specs. also ask them for your alignment specs. at the same time. This will help when ever you have the coach aligned since they may not have the Factory Specifications. Herman
  25. Ken, Will you and Rochelle be in Perry? Close to home, lots of vendors, new coaches, Great Entertainment and you came come to the meet the Forum Get Together on Thursday the 17th at 5:00 in Seminar Room 5. Herman
