  1. I have never run into that problem at any of the truck stops. However, those were the truck stops that one had to go in, leave card, go out pump fuel, go back in, get receipt, go out, travel. Loves - go in and tell them $300 and pump $300. I called our CC company and they said they have no rules on fuel purchases and that the card can be used up to the limit it is set for. Call you CC, just 'cause I'd like to know. I use Visa.
  2. Come on! Look at the thread title. There is only one brand of 2013 42qd. Take a look at my signature. RVPage, I don't have my coach at the house but give me some time and I'll see if I can find it in the manual. Most likely my year model will have it in the same location.
  3. For reference https://www.loves.com/en/news/loves-blog/2016/september/6-reasons-to-apply-for-the-loves-express-card
  4. We have traveled extensively in 46 of the 48 contiguous States, both in the 40' and now it the 43' MH and we have never been refused service in the truck lanes. As for the $75 dollar rule, that is the normal at all fuel stations using the "car" lanes and it is the service station policy and not the credit card company(ies). There is no such rule at the truck pumps.
  5. You can print out the card on the https://www.fmca.com/fmcassist.html FMCASSIST web site.
  6. Seach on "RV Trip Planner" without the quotes. There are a lot of trip planning web sites and apps that are free. Just the Family Assist as an FMCA benefit is worth the yearly dues.
  7. I try to avoid Love's for the reason stated by the OP. However I will wager that he will find his CC account will be charged what they put in the tank. Once the pump is closed it is automatic. Many people don't go back in for a receipt. I have the PFJ card. Drive up to the pump, run the card, pump the diesel, get in and drive away. Love it!
  8. Joe, remember, WIDE turns. Carl, anytime!
  9. Carl, I wasn't chastising you for your old age memory! I just knew where the park was.
  10. I have been a Good Sam user for 10 years and all my experiences have been good.
  11. Escapee's RV park is in Bushnell, FL.
  12. Sib, Look into Dually Valve Kits and give them a call. They are great to work with and they may even have a dealer in your area. For us Metropolitan Houston area RV'ers, La Porte Tire Center, La Porte, TX is a Dually Valve Dealer.
  13. Joe, also what inflation would you use based on axle weight? Just a couple hundred pounds could put one tire under inflated.
  14. Dang! It's only 66˚ here at 10:30 a.m.
  15. Check with Dually Valves. They should have valve stems that will fit your vehicle
  16. Is it an accessibility problem?
  17. Carl, you, confused? Hey, you could have cancelled the insurance after the inspection, what do they know. When I stated I'd like to see the inspections done away with it is because I'm a responsible person and keep my vehicles in good operating condition. As Richard stated it does keep the derelicts off the street, if only for a short time.
  18. And...my diesel is $7 at the inspection station and $7.50 at time of registration. (Just for inspection) However, if you are out of state and register on-line you can check the box for "out-of-state," and still get registered. Must inspect within 3 days of returning to Texas.
  19. The thing about inspections and proof of insurance is that they are really only viable for that day, that time. As soon as one drives away something that was inspected can go bad. As for insurance, it can be cancelled. Some states have notification when insurance has been cancelled. I think I would like to see them done away with. Not insurance though.
  20. I'm going to call Thetford for my systems and see what they have to say.
  21. Great thing to have! Proof posted above.
  22. Mark, that is totally unpredictable in my opinion. Microwave, stove, refrigerator, hot water heater, etc., could fail at anytime just as the engine could.
  23. In my previous life, 2009-2017 I used 1 drop in tab and 2 cap-fulls of Calgon Water Softener after every dump. I didn't use the Calgon the several months or so but when I started using it I noticed a significant difference in how long it took to back-flush for clear looking water. I have been doing the same with the newer 2015 with the Thetford macerator toilets and now I'm concerned about the statement to not use the drop-in packets. Fortunately I have been dissolving them before flushing. So what is the concern with the biodegradable drop-in tablets?
  24. I don't think there is a correct answer. My maintenance varies but it is because I use the same facility and the same mechanic that I have been using for the past 10 years. He has records and knows what has been done. He will not do something that is not needed, so vary my yearly between $750-$2500 for maintenance. I don't include covered storage as a maintenance items. As stated, maintenance is gong to vary according to Mfg. I expect my maintenance to be slightly higher now that we have an Aqua-hot system and 3 AC's instead of 2. As for Progressive Insurance I find nothing wrong with them. A couple years ago we were in a hail storm and the hail was a large as golf balls, literally. (or bigger) and Progressive paid out $19,000 for a new roof. Last year the MH was totaled. They gave me back what I paid for it and that is according to the policy I have. They have always come through for us.
