  1. Clorox brand and not the "non drip" kind. Takes forever to get it into the hose, assuming you are going to sanitize the hose also.
  2. Congratulations Herman! Ken, might see you there.
  3. Ah! The early days. I'm still a member and an sign in to the Montana Owners Club. I guess once in, always in. I go back and check it every once in a while. KO4A is a good friend of mine. Ken, this is KE5QG, and also a member of the TXBoomers. Earlene and I were just looking at the 2018 schedule to see if we could fit into on of the rallies. Still working on it. Also a member of iRV2 and the RVMutant group. We don't care who parks next to us as long as they are friendly. if they are not friendly we just ignore them. An old saying of mine, "It doesn't matter what you camp in, you are having just as much fun!" 73's p.s., everyone. Read the last line under my signature. Live with it. If you don't like it change it. If you can't change it don't whine about it. (Hmmm! I just came up with another line) Welcome back Ken, welcome back.
  4. I have been running a Blue Ox base plate and tow bar for many years and AF1 for braking. I'm satisfied with it.

    Safe-T-Plus

Follow up: Safe-t-Plus has responded to my question. On my 2105 Winnebago Tour 42QD with the Freightliner XC chassis and the IFS ZF Independent Suspension System there is not presently a design for attaching the Safe-T-Plus. They have been working on it and they believe they are close. When I hear back from them I'll post the information. Cheers! Safe-T-Plus is a great company to do business with.
  7. Back in about 1985 time frame my son has pictures of him walking out 200 feet off of the Texas City Dike and in Galveston Bay. It had definitely iced over.
  8. Dang! Just another function of RV'ing. I was also concerned about truck stop DEF product but was thinking there was a larger turnover. However, if truckers are having problems maybe they are buying from Walmart. Thanks all for the info.
  9. We had about an inch. Melted fast on the ground but the car hood was the tattle tale.
  10. I'm sure the FMCA IT Gurus have put the new site through the ringer. What I'm assuming what they will be looking for are some unknown bugs but more specifically how the site can be more aesthetically appealing. Sort of like putting buttons to push that are related together instead of far apart. (just an example.) I'm thinking that once it is published it will not take a long time for a user to test those areas he is interested in and report back to them. Or the tool bar missing something that can benefit everyone, not just one individual doing the testing. Hey. we'll all know in a few days. I'm looking forward to it. Ever since someone suggested bookmarking the "unread" forum content my access time has been reduced to a few seconds. Nice. Going to the main page was really slow. p.s., I just did a cursory on the page source and there are over 2005 lines of code with links, meta, scripts, plug-ins, functions, etc. before it get to something it can put up as a view-able web item. That is a lot of information and it takes approximately 15-20 seconds (timed) to get through it all. Hopefully the new site will be slimmed down. I just tested my download speed and it is 225.92 Mbps so I know it's not my ISP service. If anyone wants to test what their download speed is go to www.speedtest.net (is one place.)
  11. I'm thinking of adding some ground lights. The Tour has some led's built into the front so maybe I can just add to that and use the same switch. BTW: Carl had this style bike:
  12. Okay, old but still relevant. 2013 Lincoln MKX and after 4 hours and stopping battery would not have enough juice to start car. Hook up charger while doing set up and unhooking, probably 10-15 minutes and car started right up. Dilemma for sure since manual said to start and run for 5 minutes every 4 hours. Cured by stopping every 2 hours and running the engine for 5 minutes. Gave me time to do the "stand-up," and stretch my legs. Never had a problem after that.
  13. Jim, "They will now," is most likely only at that store.. Thanks, just bought 2.5 gallons but didn't check he seal. However the box is still intact so I'm probably good.

    Safe-T-Plus

Has anyone put a Safe-t-Plus on a ZF Front End Suspension?
  15. I’m with Kay on this one. I'd bet a $1 to donuts that it is the pedestal. One time in a CG we pulled in hooked up to 50amp and shortly thereafter AC would not work. Check the surge guard and one leg had a voltage error reading of low voltage. With that particular surge guard it meant that it dropped to the low limit of the surge guard. Called the manager and they check the pedestal and surge guard was right.
  16. Had a Texas Class A CDL. One day I was driving a tad over the speed limit and got pulled over (in my car). Fine was $164, no defensive driving, no adjudications, just pay the fine. I converted it to a Class A very quickly since I was not driving commercially anymore. It is possible that a 1 ton pickup and a trailer weighing over 10,000 and with both having GCVWR of 26,001 pounds or more can happen and he driver will need a Texas Class A driver license. Some of these monster 5th wheels are 12-16000 pounds. I hear tell it is a misdemeanor in some states to not have the proper license and is equated to driving without a license.
  17. Many folks like to trade-in the old one for a newer one. Private sellers do not usually take in trades. Some consignment places will take a trade in and also help in finding financing for the buying party. Nice coach by the way.
  18. I don't use water...well once in a while or I have it done "professionally." I use Wash-Wax-All, a water-less procedure. Oh, wait, there was a product by Mr. Clean that used a polymer based soap and a d-ionization filter that was absolutely great and did not leave any water marks. Our previous MH, 2008, had a shine in 2017 just as it did in 2008. Microfiber was the only thing "I" used on it. No brush marks, no swirl marks and no water marks. Unfortunately the new to us MH has swirl marks from previous owner that are visible when the Sun is shinning on it. I can guarantee their will be no additional ones added.
  19. Confession: I'm in the first category.
  20. Sorry, that was on my 2008. It really got slimed up, and I have my MH's serviced once a year. Also, under warranty, was the dash air gauges. Freightliner had a problem with the fitting on the gauges where the air line connected. They replaced my air gauges. I noticed it because in a short while the pressure reading dropped more than it should after shutting down. Also, rabbit ears that can hear anything - Earlene, heard a slight hissing sound that my deaf ears can't hear. Brett lived just a little ways from my storage unit and he dropped by and found that the leak was under the dash. Ergo, replacement. Thanks again Brett.

    Safe-T-Plus

Glad there is a Safe-T-Plus thread. During the storm Harvey my MH was flooded. I called Safe-T-Plus and they asked me to send it back to them (I had removed the piston) and they would check it out under warranty. I'm not going to go into details but let me express my gratitude for Safe-T-Plus and their exceptional service. Kathy and Kelsey are so customer service oriented and helpful. It has been a pleasure doing business with Safe-T-Plus. If anyone is in the market for a steering stabilizer I can strongly recommend Safe-T-Plus as the company to do business with. I have no affiliation with Safe-T-Plus other than being a satisfied customer. p.s., on my previous MH and for a short period of Safe-T-Plus being installed I noticed a significant difference in the handling characteristics.
