  1. Are those deep cycle? I run group 31 start batteries. Ok, just how much do you dry camp? I went back with Duracell Golf Car Battery - Group Size EGC2 at about $125.00 each because I don't dry camp that much. The price of the Li batteries are coming down maybe they will get cheap enough later on. Bill
  2. Welcome to the forum. Bill
  3. Check all connections for continuity. Many problems from not having a good connection. I kind of remember a earlier post about bad connections being a problem. Bill
  4. Ok, will Your RA deliver olive oil if you need it and it is an emergency? Bill
  5. But who is really watching to insure it is "Extra Virgin"😂 Bill
  6. We nominate you to be the forum expert on that. Bill
  7. Welcome to the forum. Not familiar with that company. What other makers have you looked at? I would do some searches looking for complaints/problems linked to this manufacture. True all companies will have people who complain, but it might provide some insight. Bill
  8. I don't have a place to carry a spare, so I don't. Some find room for an unmounted tire in their storage bays but I don't have room. So I will just keep on keeping on. I agree that you could do as good finding service now days. But the RS service has a list all ready and knows the area. I do recommend that if you don't like the answers you are getting from your RA to do some checking on your own. Now let's start something about "What oil is best?" That can run for 8-10 pages of replies. Bill
  9. I still want to know where this one is. Bill
  10. " Am I reading this correctly?" Well maybe not. When a mecanic gets into the truck and heads out on a service call (to change a tire) there is a base charge. What RA covers is the first part. If you need a tire that is extra. If you just need a tire I would not have it towed. I recommend going to the website and reading what is included. https://www.fmca.com/fmca-rv-roadside-assistance Interesting, a search brought up some numbers on what a base service call cost. National Average Cost‎: ‎$95, Minimum Cost‎: ‎$50, Average Range‎: ‎$75 to $125 Maximum Cost‎: ‎$300. So if you have a problem it will probably save you some time and aggravation. Glad you posted, Made me check and renew my RA. Did you know they have an app now. Bill
  11. Don't know, apparently they have been getting by for a few miles. Never heard of anybody getting stopped to be measured. Bill
  12. That is a good possibility. One more thing is it won't run without 12V power for the controls. I had a problem onse (well I have had more than one) when I had no 12V from the battery. I had to have the main engine running to provide 12V power. Amazing what does not work without 12V power. Looking forward to a report on what the problem was. Bill
  13. Can you get a delivery? or how far do you need to drive to go get it. Hate to say it but this is where an extend a stay would be good to have. Bill
  14. Welcome to the forum. That is strange it won't start unless the main engine is running. I would do what Joe recommended and call Fleetwood tech support for advise. Have you tried holding down the switch that connects the battery banks when you try starting the generator? Have you tried to start it from the switch on the generator? Bill
  15. Congratulations and welcome to the forum. Yes like Herman said Roadside Assistance Only pays for the service call anything past that is on you. So if you need a tire or more that is extra. Now if it isn't just a tire you will have the option of having them send a mecanic or having the rig towed to a appropriate shop. Keep in mind you only get one. So if the mecanic can't fix it and you need to be towed the cost is on you. Best recommendation read the fine print. Because the plans do varey. Bill
  16. Last rally in AZ I we had to flag a guy down as he was dragging the front wheels on his toad as it was still in park. Don't think he did much damage but he left plow furrows in the gravel for a couple hundred yards back to where he had been parked. 😀 Bill
  17. Welcome to the forum. Hopefully they straightened out some of the previously posted problems. Bill
  18. I have one and I only bought it because we were going to a rally that "required" having one where we were parked. Basically dry camping and on gen. I don't think I have had to use it since. It did direct the fumes up but I can't say it was quieter as my quiet diesel is pretty quiet. Bill
  19. Carl I was talking about the new ones Joe has coming in. Bill
  20. Just as a follow up. I am still curious. "Ok explain to me why they are set up for such low output? I am not in the business but it seems like a big heavy engine for such low output when it could be 605 and 2050 torque." I would think the engine would be more efficient if it had more power and din't have to work as hard. Bill
  21. Carl, try going into signature delete that and save it. Bill
  22. Saw this nice 46' 2006 Tiffin Zephyr Handicap Equipped diesel pusher model 45QDZ. I thought I would repost it for any who may need one. https://www.pplmotorhomes.com/used-rvs-for-sale/diesel-motorhomes/2006-tiffin-zephyr-handicap-equipped_rv-43126 Bill
  23. See, now you have a base. Like I try to never get to 1/4 tank of fuel. Bill
