  1. Another video on fixing a door hinge. Makes me glad I changed to a residential.
  2. I agree so here is a post with not so great temperatures. When I was outside earlier you could see your breath and they are forecasting sleet pellets this evening. Bill
  3. Sometimes you have to make changes to get a better outcome. I can't fit either of my coaches in my driveway at the house. I think the OP should drive one with comfort steer to know how it drives. Bill
  4. I would highly suggest you and wife drive a Newmar with the comfort drive. I bet it will drive better than your current coach or any super C. Well unless the new Newmar Super Cs have it. Bill
  5. Did you read my post about Continental? I still recommend them. They do have 275/80R 22.5 What specks are you talking about? Bill
  6. Sounds good. I can't afford them fancey new coaches like you and Carl. Bill
  7. Congratulations!!! What year? What happened to the "DW put a lock on my wallet until Quartzite." O right this is the Q Bill
  8. 4thetwins, One big thing you should be aware of. August 7 – August 16. is bike week in Sturgis. It is busy for at least 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after. Last year they had 450,000 people attend. I would find reservations NOW don't expect you can just show up any time and find a spot. I agree Custer State Park is amazing. Bill
  9. Herman, look here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ClqcoU6Pg4U and https://rvsnappad.com/ Bill
  10. Carl, I can't afford those fancy new Newmar's. I will have to stick with that old wore out high mileage 08. WEDNESDAY! Bill
  11. Well if you read what I posted you would see I was talking about the diameter not wheel spacing. There is 0.1" difference in diameter. Bill
  12. 4thetwins, Welcome to the forum. Last time I was there I stayed at Heartland RV Park and Cabins. I think it is a pretty good location. Take your toad for a drive down 16A. Don't take your coach. heartlandcampground.com (605) 255-5460 Bill
  13. Why do you stay someplace so cold Kay? It is 63 in Fort Worth, it may warm up this weekend. Bill
  14. Where the cab mates to the body of the coach, they claim to have a new type of seal that's supposed to let it float. I saw a video on it but couldn't find it again. I think I will stick to a conventional diesel pusher for now. Bill
  15. I bet the ride is why many feature the air ride seats like the big trucks use to smooth out the ride. The only one I might look at "but it is out of my price range" is the new Newmar that has a whole air ride cab. Bill
  16. If I only had 1/2 inch of clearance I would be shaving off some of the mounting plates or adjusting the steering stops. Bill
  17. I like it. You forgot it can double as a dust mop handle. I put straps on my pads so it is easier to snag them and move them around but I like that handle. Bill
  18. I agree. I would bet you could go measure a stack of 275/80R22.5 tires and find more variation in diameter. Also on the width keep in mind on the width the one inch is actually only one half inch on each side. I would bet you can change the width at the middle of the sidewall more that by changing air preshure. It is proven that tread design and composition is a much much bigger factor in traction than a inch of width. Keep in mind wider tires can hydroplane faster. Bill
  19. I am running Continental 275/80R22.5 and they are as good or better than Michelin and were over $100.00 cheaper than Michelin through the tire program. Bill
  20. Breezy2, welcome to the forum and thanks for the advise. Bill
  21. We have done some talking books if there was no reception or no good stations. Bill
  22. Part is you don't drive a big rig like your car. You have to learn to drive it based on conditions. Bill
