  1. That is a short time for that ambitious of a trip. I would consider adding at least 2 weeks to the front and 2 weeks to the back. Or all on the back a you will be on the southern portion of your trip by then. It would be easy to spend 30 days+ in montana Wyoming and Utah. Last trip that way I spent 30 days in just Utaw. As an example I just finished a 90 day 24 state 5,400 mile trip to the north east. I could have stayed on the Carolina, Georgia coast for a little longer but there was this small storm(Harvey) headed in and we decided to head home. Get a Passport America membership. https://www.passportamerica.com/ My better half doesn't like to travel without reservations. Changing plans has never been a problem. By the way we were in 26 different RV parks in the US and Canada. Many state and national parks charge as much as commercial parks and have fewer services or worse conditions. Not level, to tight spots. No sewer. Many were laid out and built when it was all tent camping. I would call today to get reservations at Trailer village in the Grand Canyon. That place is worth the effort as you are in the park and the shuttle stops in the campground to take you all over the park to places you can't drive to. You can but travel days are for travel. It will take longer and is harder to drive the state routes. I like to move my condo to a new location then use the toad to explore the area. I put 5400 miles on the coach and 6,000 miles on my CR-V. I do have experience driving US and state roads did that from lake Champlain across Vermont New Hampshire and into upper Maine North East of the White mountains. I have done similar out west. Bill
  2. Just keep in mind that those are MINIMUM preshure. I would add at least 10% for a safety cushion. Bill
  3. Welcome to the forum. All I can talk about are the Continental HSR2 on the back and HSL2 on the front. I was going to run all HSL2 tiers but couldn't get them in the time frame I needed so ended up with the 4 HSR2 on the back. They just have a more open tread design. In the last 2 years and over 12,000 miles I have been quite happy with the Continentals. They turned out to be over $100.00 cheaper per tier than the Michelin tires on the program, that is after the discount Bill
  4. What is the weight on your tags? Is it a duel or single wheel tag? Bill
  5. Do me a favor LandP, go look at the one that is working. See if it is the out board light that is lighting the amber lense. I found these same Doge headlights and am not shure how they light the amber lense. I don't see any outher wires or bulbs on the back. Bill
  6. I have the tall grass and weeds as I haven't mowed down at my "ranch" since before mid June. With all this rain and all the outher stuff going on It might be awhile. I will be using some Off when mowing near the bushes in the hedgerow. I don't want to use up a bottle of nail polish. Bill
  7. We don't have as bad problem with love bugs as south Texas and have seen them more east of Houston. More out in the rice patties of east Texas along I-10. I didn't see any west of mid Louisiana. I was coming west on I-20. What Herman said about CHIGGERS. They are all over the south. I just spray my feet and legs with off and you don't have that big of a problem. When you have a place you can treat the place and not have a problem. Bill
  8. What makes you say something like that? You have the choice where you buy fuel. I find the price especially with the discount is close enough to the lowest price in the area it isn't worth the aggravation of unhooking and hunting around to save a penny or two. Then having to return and hook up again is not what I want to do. Bill
  9. Is there room enough to install a machine screw or bolt? maybe a countersunk screw with the head on the back side and a good self locking nut on the outside. Bill
  10. here is a non food post. I have to replace the fitting on the windshield washer hose where it comes through the cap. I broke it cleaning off love bugs in Mississippi on the way home. If you haven't experienced these bugs you have something to look forward to. I got the old part out and tried PPL first and they didn't have one so went to Alvarado to the Rev Group counter sales. They had them part number 047143. $5.37 each. See a non food post. Bill
  11. Welcome to the forum. Have you looked at the back? Bill
  12. Looks like what some places call a texas scramble. Bisket split open on the plate then sausage hashbrowns eggs and covered with gravy. Lots of variables but all good. Bill
  13. That is a most excellent job. Till you blow the pictures up they look like the floor goes under the wall. I know that took some time and craftsmanship to do. Bill
  14. The time delay has more to do with giving the AC compressor time to bleed down the head preshure so it will start easier. Switching with a load on can damage the ATS. Bill
  15. Let's check something. I just got a new RV PLUS charge card today and had to activate it. This card looks a little different as this one is more yellow in cooler and the old one was more red. Probably no big deal but what I did find was when you log in click on the card management heading that should take you to a screen showing all the cards issued to you and their status. The interesting thing I found today was the control number on the card didn't match the one listed for the new card. You can edit the number to reflect the number on your card. You do that buy clicking on Update Control#/Status this allows you to change the control number/pin number plus click on Activate to change the status. Five, I would double check that the information is correct and showing the pin on the back of your card and active. Let me know what you find. Bill
  16. Well I do like to taste ice cream and visit creamery's. So far have been to Tillamook Creamery in Tillamook, Oregon. Ben & Jerry’s Factory in Waterbury, Vermont. and Blue Bell Creameries in Brenham TX. Where they make the best ice cream in the country! Kay, that looks good. I didn't take pictures but the pancakes at Hash House a Go Go were bigger than that plate. They claim they are as big as the steering wheel on a tractor. Bill
  17. Well to bump this thread back up a little. Had to go to Plano Tx today for doctors appointment. After that decided to get some brunch and looked around Plano (it isn't like there aren't lots of places to eat in Plano) and found this place Hash House a Go Go. Who could say no to a place like that. www.hashhouseagogo.com. Bill
  18. Yes but I have never seen or heard of adapting a flex fan to a rear radiator Cummins like the Op has. Bill
  19. You might look at Summit Racing, they have heavy duty fan clutches and hi flow thermostats. Makes me wonder if there isn't more to the OP's problem. I hear about them not working and basickley be free wheeling but not locking up. Bill
  20. Try PPL motorhomes, they have a big parts department. Why can't you drill out the 1/8 hole so you can use a 3/16 rivet? Bill
  21. One outher thing I recommend and do is start a file on your computer and keep track of all the part numbers for anything you replace. Oil filters, fuel filters air filters etc. this includes the generator. I also have a section recording when and what was done for maintenance. Things like last fluid change on transmission. This makes it easier to look things up. Bill
