Me to, I haven't found anything unless you are a trucking company. Bill

scbwr, be aware that many manual transmissions are not towable 4 down. That is why it is important to check every model for its quirks about towing. My CR-V all wheel drive can be towed 4 down but not on a dolly. Bill

That is true some "fancy" coaches already have Silverleaf. Does it show turbo boost and EGT? Bill

No Carl -28 is 28 degrees below -0-, 28 is 4 degrees below freezing or you could say -28 is 60 degrees below freezing or dang cold.😉 Bill

Welcome to the forum. That sounds good. Did you check that the Charge air cooler is clean and no gunk between it and the radiator? If the person doing the pressure cleaning doesn't understand this he may not have gotten it clean. What are you calling "the Alison mode"? Are you down shifting using the shift pad? I agree with Breitt that temp seems low. I would do as he suggested. One thing I have found is the flats in Nevada are seldom flat. I was running along in cruise not watching my gauges to close and all of a sudden my hi temp warning started going off. Got to looking and even though it hadn't down shifted it was running full throttle and max boost to hold the speed. It was also driving my EGT way higher than I like to see. I slowed and manuel down shifted to 4th and let it cool down. With out hands on a likely scenario is it is getting blown out of the expansion tank. I believe yours is set up similar to mine. The tank is not an overflow tank it is part of the radiator system. That is it is under the same preshure as the radiator. I bet you have a long hose where the vent is on the neck where the cap is. This hose routes down to below the bottom of the coach. It could be venting out when you have higher temps and preshure and it would be hard to see. You might look at Silverleaf or Scangauge. http://www.silverleafelectronics.com/?q=node/6 https://www.scangauge.com/products/scangauge-d/ The only problem is I don't know if they show Boost or EGT temps. There are numerus places to buy the gages. Bill

I haven't used my card in a while but if I remember you have to enter your (4 digit control number) same as a pin, after swiping your card. You can find it in the card management section on their website. If that doesn't work call them, Toll-Free by Phone: 855-478-7587. Bill

Definitely better than that big trailer (in my opinion). Make you set the car up exactly as the manufacturer says for that model. For example if you have swivel plates under the wheels and leave the steering unlocked you will end up damaging the car. Double check but it appears the dolly pivots so you would leave your steering locked. Trick I found when I was using a dolly, to get the straps tight leave a couple inches between the front stop and the tire. put the straps over the tire and lightly tighten them. Now put the car in neutral and finish tightening the straps. The straps don't slide on the tiers so unless the tier can rotate forward it is nearly impossible to get the straps tight on the back side of the tier. After they are tight put it back in park. Let us know how it works for you. Bill

Are you entering your "control number" at the pump? Bill

You need this card. https://www.rvpluscard.com/ Bill

Welcome to the forum. Like Five said check the manuel to see what it says for that year and model. Any CR-V after 2014 can't be towed 4 down. Bill

"Not to be a trouble maker," Well yes you are. Give us specifics What RV chassis maker recommends against polyurethane bushings? Have you used them? I have used them in a couple of applications and the ride is ALWAYS better. Bill
-
Ok do what you want but the Polyurethane bushings last longer and work better. Bill

Carl, when you stand in front of FANEUIL HALL look to the left. The alley/street going down the left side is where the NPS office is on the building to the left about half way down. We went in to use the restroom and found out about the free tours. 😂 Bill -

Very nice!!! That is a nice coach. Bill -
Yes, I replaced with mine with Polyurethane bushings. See the post below. Bill

I would check with the park service to see what the conditions are. https://www.nps.gov/yose/blogs/fireinfo.htm Bill

I would recommend you get an all wheel alignment done loaded like you were leaving on a trip. What size are your tag tires? Bill

Danheinemann, welcome to the forum. I think it is easier to use Gasbuddy rather than driving through towns looking for cheap fuel. 😃 I am on a short trip North East. Diesel prices tend to run a little higher. Lowest so far was in VA $2.869 to $3.369 in NY. I managed to skip PA where I saw prices over $3.67. I think I have done fairly well with a average cost of $3.144 so far. Bill

Fuel stops at the flying J. Any discounts on fuel
wildebill308 replied to basspond51's topic in Membership/Benefits
My guess is there are much better discount programs for the commercial accounts than available to the general public, much better than the Good Sams program. Bill -

One thing I found fascinating was tours of old Boston https://www.nps.gov/bost/planyourvisit/guidedtours.htm Look for the RED LINE it is a actual red line in the sidewalk you can follow to many historic sites. https://www.thefreedomtrail.org/ Bill -
Flat Tow Tow Bar Choices
wildebill308 replied to studebrucer's topic in Toads-Towed Behind Motorhome
Please explain what miss information I am giving out. What I stated is absolutely true and correct. A 10,00 lb rated towbar will have more reserve strength whether it is used in a 5000 lb receiver or a 20,000lb receiver. The main core subject of this thread is that aluminum towbars can break. So tell me why you think it is smart to use a minamaley capable tow bar or one that has a good reserve strength. Bill -
My reasons for not using a A frame. 1. to hard to hook up nearly impossible by myself and if not totaley strait and near perfectly level. 2. If not driving a jeep it may not be possible to find a baseplate that would work. 3. I want my towbar to stay on the coach. "all these fancy ones that cost so much and have to be rebuilt" I have bought 2 different Avita bars used for under $250.00. I had them gone through by Blue Ox as a precaution and it covered the annual maintenance. This also zeroed out the maintenance hours. All tow systems need annual maintenance. Bill
