Richard is right about loading your generator. However without knowing what coach (it isn't in your signature) I can't give a more accurate answer for your coach. My coach defaults to the generator if it is running and plugged into shore power. One big tip is to turn off heavy load items like the air conditioners before starting the generator. You want to let the generator warm up a little before adding a heavy load. You could also damage the contacts in the auto transfer box. The same when you are done and going to shut it down, let it run with no/low load before shutting it off. Bill

Let us know what they find. Could be several things, hard to troubleshoot without hands on. Bill

New to us 1997 Monterey startup/airbag/jack procedure

I can't see anything on his post but the text??? Bill -
Welcome to the forum. I think it is better to do a all wheel alignment. You should be loaded like you are headed out on a trip. The reason is even if the front is correct if the thrust angle on the rear is off it will cause wandering and be harder to drive. Bill

No, tell us how you realey feel. Yes they have over sold the "you need a degree to make it" mentality. It use to upset some of the new engineers they hired at Lockheed that a lowly aircraft mecanic was making more than they were. 😁 Seriesly All the big/better places are busey, REV Group RV Service Center in Alvarado is full and I bet there is a wait to get in TCC and MHofT are busey and only Carl can get right in. So I think there is plenty of business out there. Bill

2012 Thor Astoria 36MQ - 2 Water Heaters?
wildebill308 replied to bud_crosthwait@hotmail.com's topic in Type A motorhomes
Like Carl, l I think the switch with a red indicator light above it is for the block heater. But I think the vent on the driver's side by the kitchen sink is most likely your furnace. Easey to check just turn your furnace on and see if it is blowing hot air. The one in back is probably your water heater. Take the cover off and look. Some of the combo washer dryers don't have a vent to the outside. Bill -
You better call them now. Don't expect to just show up and find a spot. If you do it will probably be closest to the tracks. Bill

Surge Guards: EMS PT50X VS SURGE GUARD 34950?
wildebill308 replied to eric@babin.com's topic in Electrical
I have the Surge Guard 34850 portable. It has saved me several times from plugging into bad pedestals and being portable I can check outher power pedestals without moving the coach. What a lot of people don't seem to understand when they talk about surge protection for their coach is, low voltage is what causes the majority of the problems in coaches. I would bet the OP's problem was caused by low voltage not over voltage. Bill -

I don't think restarting the pump is that big of a deal. The shut off point varies from station to station. Kroger limits it to 35 gal. Bill

I don't use them unless the price is comparable or they are the only place. Lots of places make you go inside and and pay/swipe your card. Then your card is billed at the actual amount pumped. I always go back and get a receipt. Bill

Me to, I haven't found anything unless you are a trucking company. Bill

scbwr, be aware that many manual transmissions are not towable 4 down. That is why it is important to check every model for its quirks about towing. My CR-V all wheel drive can be towed 4 down but not on a dolly. Bill

Welcome to the forum. That sounds good. Did you check that the Charge air cooler is clean and no gunk between it and the radiator? If the person doing the pressure cleaning doesn't understand this he may not have gotten it clean. What are you calling "the Alison mode"? Are you down shifting using the shift pad? I agree with Breitt that temp seems low. I would do as he suggested. One thing I have found is the flats in Nevada are seldom flat. I was running along in cruise not watching my gauges to close and all of a sudden my hi temp warning started going off. Got to looking and even though it hadn't down shifted it was running full throttle and max boost to hold the speed. It was also driving my EGT way higher than I like to see. I slowed and manuel down shifted to 4th and let it cool down. With out hands on a likely scenario is it is getting blown out of the expansion tank. I believe yours is set up similar to mine. The tank is not an overflow tank it is part of the radiator system. That is it is under the same preshure as the radiator. I bet you have a long hose where the vent is on the neck where the cap is. This hose routes down to below the bottom of the coach. It could be venting out when you have higher temps and preshure and it would be hard to see. You might look at Silverleaf or Scangauge. http://www.silverleafelectronics.com/?q=node/6 https://www.scangauge.com/products/scangauge-d/ The only problem is I don't know if they show Boost or EGT temps. There are numerus places to buy the gages. Bill

I haven't used my card in a while but if I remember you have to enter your (4 digit control number) same as a pin, after swiping your card. You can find it in the card management section on their website. If that doesn't work call them, Toll-Free by Phone: 855-478-7587. Bill

Definitely better than that big trailer (in my opinion). Make you set the car up exactly as the manufacturer says for that model. For example if you have swivel plates under the wheels and leave the steering unlocked you will end up damaging the car. Double check but it appears the dolly pivots so you would leave your steering locked. Trick I found when I was using a dolly, to get the straps tight leave a couple inches between the front stop and the tire. put the straps over the tire and lightly tighten them. Now put the car in neutral and finish tightening the straps. The straps don't slide on the tiers so unless the tier can rotate forward it is nearly impossible to get the straps tight on the back side of the tier. After they are tight put it back in park. Let us know how it works for you. Bill

Are you entering your "control number" at the pump? Bill
