  1. Welcome to the forum. What speed and rpm are you running when you try to downshift? Bill
  2. I always recommend geting a towbar that is at least 10,000 pound rating. That way you can tow nearly anything. If you start with a smaller bar you don't have the reserve strength and larger safety margin. Bill
  3. I think Richard is correct. Frost is a good indicator that the door seal is not working right and letting moist warm air in and the cold air out. Bill
  4. Do you still have it and can we get a discount? Bill
  5. No, actually it doesn't alter ride height what it alters is how high the coach sets. Ride height refers to the height of the body over the suspension. This is controlled by valves that are adjustable. Bill
  6. The limitations of tow vehicles up through 1 Ton as stated above can be overcome by upgrading to a Medium Duty Trucks (Class 4-6). Bill
  7. The first thing I would do is have an all wheel alignment done loaded like you were leaving on a trip. I went with 275/80/22.5 instead of the original 255/80/22.5 size. I used the Continental from the tire program. I saved over $100.00 each off the Michelin discount price. Bill
  8. Priorities, I had to go get something to eat. It took 8 hours to go 300 miles. No I didn't go over the George Washington Bridge. Bill
  9. So you have the problem fixed now? What was it exactly the motor or the gears? Rich, hope everything goes well. Bill
  10. I bet you can stretch the speed a little. My CR-V says 65 but it has seen 70 and no problems. You might change the transmission fluid a little more often to be on the safe side. Bill
  11. Welcome to the forum. Thanks for your service. I know where this is Utapo RTNAS. Utapo Royal Thai Naval Air Station, Thailand. What was your job I don't even remember what the code was for Structural repair and Non destructive testing. I was well acquainted with B52D, F, G, H. KC-135 EC, RC and Q models. Bill
  12. I have the all wheel drive LX and since the first of the year in all kinds of driving I have averaged 30.28 mpg. I think they are one of the best toads and I hope Honda makes them towable again. Look online you can find plenty with low milage and in the $15,000 range. Bill
  13. Make sure there is nothing binding/blocking the slide. Bill
  14. Here is a thought. I like my 2014 Honda CRV so much I was looking at what to do if I wanted to replace it. I only have about 87,000 miles on this one. (it doesn't add miles when being towed) One thing I looked at was finding a low mileage used 2014 Honda CRV as that is the last year you can tow one 4 down. Surprisingly I found some with 30-36,000 miles under $16,000. Now with your wife's problems with her hip she may be able to get in and out of the CRV better than some of the others. I would go down to the Honda store and see how she likes it. The CRV has been a realey great towd not to heavy, good mileage, great to drive while we explore the areas around where we are. If you keep your eyes open you might find a used Brake Buddy or some outher braking system and a used towbar. If you have any questions feel free to ask. Bill
  15. What was happening? Which of the Dello oils were you using? Bill
  16. Good idea I think I have pictures some were of them big as seagulls. Bill
  17. Well I would consider one tank not statistically accurate for gauging mileage. Bill
  18. I would be pursuing a warranty solution. Repair or replace whatever it takes to get it fixed. Bill
  19. "Not trying to make this a long story" Well you need to elaborate some more. Please explain how changing your oil will lower your block temp enough to affect mileage. How are you monitoring what is going on in your engine? Bill
  20. Just a note, Turning Stone Casino Campground is in Verona NY not Main.☺️ Nice area I was close buy but didn't stop last month. I was at Waterloo Harbor Campground. Then up on the Saint Lawrence River at Merry Knoll Campground. Do you have your Passport? I would recommend the Canadian side of the falls and McLaren Campground further up the Saint Lawrence River There is also a interesting place there called Upper Canada Village. uppercanadavillage.com If you need more info let me know. Bill
  21. I already have reservations for next Memorial Day in Ithaca NY and in Maine the week after back at Blueberry pond outside of Free Port. I will probably come up a little early to spend time in Erie and Western NY.😉 Bar Harbor and Arcadia is a great area. Try eating at Geddy's on main https://geddys.com/menu/. There are a lot of good places to eat in Bar Harbor and the area. Lots of places in Free Port including LLBeans. Bill
  22. I will take that to heart. Where in Main do you go? Bill
