I think the door had a foam core. Did the inner and outer skins delaminate? Latches are available. There are a couple of links from the center latch to operate the latches on the sides. If you have the linkage it should go back together fairly easy. You may be able to refill the door with non expanding foam. There are people who make tanks do a search you should be able to find one that will work or look to the RV salvage yards. Bill

Well moved the condo to Newfound RV Park, 792 Mayhew Turnpike, Bristol, NH 03222. Went down I-89 to Lebanon and cros lots on 4 to Danbury and the on 104 to Bristol. Lots of hills and a top speed limit of 50 in most areas. Bill -
I don't know why if you have any ability you couldn't make one yourself and make it better than the original. I was looking at the pictures and I don't think it is as bad as it could be. The door should be cleanable and maybe a coat of paint. If it is delaminated it can be rebonded. The water lines look mostly intact and if you wanted to or need to replacing all of them with plex shouldn't be to bad. Keep us updated. Bill

Phil, look at Gas Buddy, I would avoid buying Gas in PA as it is higher than Ohio or NY, actualey I would fill up before I hit the PA line headed east. Last cheap gas. Is your Bounder gas or diesel? Adding coach info to signature helps get better answers faster. I had no problem geting fuel at the service plazas on the thruway. Bill -

Carl, at the 2 places I used on the NY Thruway-I-90 I had to run the card with an estimate of my purchase. No problem with the card I rang up $300. each time. They only charge your card with what you pump. Just go back in and get receipt for what you actually pumped when done. They could do a better job with the truck pumps but it is what it is. Bill -

10 Year Age Rule In RV Campgrounds
wildebill308 replied to Vegasmailman's topic in Type A motorhomes
Well I am kind of the poster boy for this issue, 2003 coach a little travel stained after 11/2 months on the road. I have not been questioned about my coach. I am in the world of "seasonal" camping. Currently in VT. was in the Watkins Glen area. That place had sines all over marking areas seasonal only, Keep Out. It is just the business model. Bill -

Well if they would make people fill out their profiles before they can post on the forums it would stop some of this. Personally, I am looking for someone to pay me to drive my coach wherever I want to go. Bill -

Well now in Vermont, at Lake Champagne RV, 53 Lake Champagne Dr, Randolph Center, VT 05061, lakechampagne.com, (802) 728-5293. Those people who claim there are no hills in the east need to follow the roads I was on today. I decided to cut cross country rather than use the interstate's. Very interesting and scenic. Yes Carl, the college has parking lots but you need permission to park in one. Joe geting into the Watkins Glen / Corning KOA shouldn't be a problem 414 is a good road. I would have made my reservation there but it is further from Ithaca. One outher thing make shure you make time to go to the Corning Glass Museum you won't regret it. Bill -

Joe, I haven't been in that KOA but if Carl says it's good it must be good. I am looking at a place to stay next Memorial day for Granddaughters graduation from Cornell. My need was to be close to the school. We are currently in Spruce Row Campsite for the last time. I can't recommend this place to anyone. We have reservations at Pinecreek Campground for next year. Drove over there and it is much nicer. The only negative is the road into the campground is not to good steep hills and 10mph turns. The good news is it is close to the college. Bill -

Well shifted the location of my condo again. Now down near Ithaca NY. Took a side trip to Watkins Glen. The Glen takes a little work but is amazing. On the way we saw a small sine that said " waterfall so decided to go look. Well Montour Falls is quite spectacular. There are a lot of waterfalls in the finger lakes area. Bill -
Welcome to the forum. I used a Acme tow dolly for a couple of years before I bought my curent 4 down setup. I know what it says in the instructions but this method will prevent loose straps. LOADING YOUR CAR ON THE DOLLY When you load the car on the dolly stop with about 2 in between the tire and front stop. Place the hold down straps over the tires. Now place the car in neutral. Now tighten the hold down straps. The reason for doing it this way is the straps will not slide on the tire. This allows the tire to rotate forward and take the slack out of the back side of the strap. After the straps are tight you can put the car in park and set it up for towing. Make Shure you set the car up based on the dolly manufactures instructions. Some need the steering locked and some like the acme need the steering to turn. Not doing this part right will cause damage to your car. One other thing is be aware the dolly tracks outside the track of your Coach. You need to be aware when turning corners or just going down the road. Your coach might be in the smooth travel lane but the dolly might be off the right edge running on the rumble strip or hitting the lane markers. Watch your mirrors and you can get the hang of it pretty easy. One bonus thing keep the ends of the straps tucked in out of the wind as they will fray and unravel and make them difficult to use. Bill
