  1. I have had times I was happy to make tomorrow. Bill
  2. I would look at doing some upgrades on your current coach before upgrading to a newer than 2007 Newmar. You don't have DEF or a particulate filter. Bill
  3. It is a interesting drive. But like Ray said the places to stop when towing are limited and may be full. Also be super aware that people have been known to stop in the road to look or take pictures. It can be a surprise around a blind corner. Bill
  4. Welcome to the forum. What make and model is the awning? Bill
  5. Well glad you got it fixed. Trying to convince people that the water coming off the roof was just from the A/C would have been hard. Bill
  6. Try to find out what kind of plastic it is and buy the JB Weld that will stick to it. It should hold. You could also look at places like Summit Racinghttps://www.summitracing.com/ or Jegs https://www.jegs.com/ They sell custom shift handles. Bill
  7. Carl, no action picturers but hear is a big awning laying in the dirt. I think it is a mental thing that when some people set up their RV it includes putting out the awnings. It seams like a automatic thing. We had anouther realey windy afternoon today. Carl Horse back riding yesterday, whitewater rafting and 4X4 trips today and tomorrow. Bill
  8. I don't have a big powerful rig like you Carl. I got slowed down pretty good over the Continental divide, mostly because of slow traffic. There is no ease road in or out of this area. What's fun on the way to Gillett we stayed on the outher side of the mountains on 34 we are on 34 on the west side now. Thought about going that way but you have to go through RMNP and they have had long lines. Bill
  9. This is just a reminder to be carful about having your awnings out. I am at Granby CO. and they have a wind event nearly every afternoon. When we got hear Monday the event was so bad it blew several awnings off. Saw one where 3 people were trying to hold the awning down so they could bring it in. It lifted them off their feet. It finally got loose and ripped off over the coach. The wind sensor doesn't always react fast enough to save the awning from damage. Bill
  10. Welcome to the forum. The Op hasn't been back since 2018. But I believe chocking the rear wheels is a good safety practice. What Ford Chaise do you have? Bill
  11. Nice looking coach. Welcome to the form. Now lets go camping. Bill
  12. Glad it is working out for you. It is always more enjoyable when it drives easier. Bill
  13. Roland, There have been several post on that recently. Bill
  14. You need to find out if the ac shut off or the generator. AC will cycle off once it cools down. Should be obvious if the gen quit. Find out why. Bill
  15. Welcome to the forum. I have stayed hear a couple times. Roadrunner RV Park, 4740 S I-35 Service Rd, Oklahoma City, OK 73129, 1 405 677 2373. It is just a little south of I-40 on I-35. Bill
  16. Just to be clear are you towing 4 down or with the dolly? Bill
  17. Great old RV. It definitely has lots of overhang in the back. Lots of tail swing. I agree hope someone restores it. Bill
  18. They have anouther one in the Henry Ford Museum but it isn't operating. I think it would be fun to see. Bill
  19. To bad I don't know where it was kept and have more time on this trip. I was in Cheyenne, Wyoming last night. In Granby CO. tonight. That was quite a drive getting in hear. We came down from Laramie, down 230 to 127 then 125. This takes you over Willow Creek Pass. Bill
  20. I was sad to see Remco get out of the towing business. They were the go to authority on making something towable. Bill
  21. Who is doing the work? Just so you know parts are in realey short supply eaven for the factory. Add to that the dealer "must" purchase all warranty parts through the factory. This includes things he could get at the local hardware store. I have heard of new coaches stuck at the factory because they couldn't get parts like air conditioner's. So it may not be foot-dragging as much as shortages in the supply line. But on the outher hand they may be lazy foot-draggers. Bill
  22. Welcome to to the forum. I have to agree with the above post. I have a friend who is full time and tows a trailer. He tells me he has been charged for 2 sites because of the trailer. The benefits of towing 4 down greatly ought weigh any detractors. Bill
  23. I agree. I won't plug in with out mine. Just to dangerous. Bill
