Surge Guards: EMS PT50X VS SURGE GUARD 34950?
manholt replied to eric@babin.com's topic in Electrical
I'm set up like Joe L. -
Garymccool. Welcome. Your Monaco & my American Coach, is REV group. My electric schematic, showed the fuse to be located, behind the bowl fill/flush module (15 amp)....I located it, under the dishwasher! Changed it to a 20 amp fuse. 15 is for marine/20 for land, per manufacturer! That was 4 years ago.

Wayne, Joe. Yes! I have it, but stopped using it, because their prices, in most cases, was higher than FJ/Pilot. Used to be Loves all over on I-40, from OK to Kingman, AZ.

When you don't get the dripping, you have a problem. My line is by the water bay, a little troubling until you get used to it. I'm one of the coaches with Herman! 😁

Think used...You don't roll miles on the odometer...but, the other components take a beating! Make sure you keep it lubed, I use the coach mileage for ref.

That begs the question of your, Make, model and year? There are owners of 45+ year old rigs, on this Forum, that looks as good as a 5 year old's! 🤩

Thanks to Brett, teaching my Linda, how to use the gears and RPM's correctly, she has no problems going up long, steep grades, or going down! She has a 40 foot, Phaeton 2006, DP 350 CAT. With a 2014 Expedition Toad, Weight's more than a GC. Richard. Never had a coach that used Truck lane on grades. In 36 years, and 5 coaches neither has Linda!

Only time I prefer a trailer is when we want to haul more than one toad. Never needed a Dolly!

Joe, turn on the heat. I was around the area in July of 1996, AC was on at 72...it gets hot & cold up there!
-
The 50/50 is correct, but only good to -28, that is 28 below freezing F. Oasis, is a newer, more compact system, but still built on the same principal as AH and Wabasco. They al50l use the 30-50% glycol/water mix. 50/50 is ideal, since Glycol is not a good conductor of heat, but water is!
-
Jim S. Your winterizing the heating coils and cold/hot water lines. The glycol/iodized water in the system is good to -28 degrees. Not a concern in TX.

Welcome! The dealer probably knows less than you. That big a miss representation on a DMV milage form and Extended Warranty, would net him, a lot more trouble than you (Law against that)! So try to be pleasant when you break the news .

There is a lot to do there. Golf, Fishing, more golf, eating! ⛳ Nice area! Hope you got warm clothing!

Wayne, if it's like mine, one motor and a controller for each slide. I think it needs side to side adjustment.
