  1. One time I had a HWH leak on another coach. Cleaned all the lines and fittings, then laid out a drop cloth from a paint shop, filled the hydraulic tank. Turned the system on and found a L fitting and partially cut hose was the culprit.
  2. Plus, Wayne can't see the water or beach! But, he is in Galveston County and it's not a cheap place to be!
  3. Hard to lug that big a magnifying glass around. One hour & $100, I get a yea or nay back!
  4. Water softener for RV's work great...look at Amazon for it. I just got one that uses regular table salt.
  5. This post has been answered to the satisfaction of the OP! Brett, would you please close it?
  6. That would be nice..don't need this in Texarkana! ⛄
  7. Plenty of Hot water in outside shower! Problem is inside lever. Now we have to find mixer valve...later. Bill E. It's on the back burner, until Feb. 2019...We decided on a new Newmar Ventana, 43' !
  8. Herman, single lever, pressure is fine, goes from cold to hot, then starts cooling off after 2 minutes and COLD in one minute more! Will check outside shower, after sunrise...if it's ok there, then it will confirm that I have a lever problem inside. Lloyd De Gerald, serviced my AH at Six State & left the fill cap off. We put in 2 gallons of coolant at the house! That's Richard. Not Kay!
  9. In the late 60's and 70's, 80's, we used a square metal box, 5"x 5" on top of bumper, just under the spare tire carrier. In the 90's I had Richards set up and the last 18 years, like Kay it's in the bay! If I had a class C, I would have a problem also.
  10. At least your getting hot water in shower....I'm trying to track down, why my shower is cold, but all faucets will give me hot. I have Aqua Hot 450D and it was serviced in Sep. by AH service center!
  11. Cheapest is not necessarily the best, there are a lot of factors that effect rate. Size, value of coach, driving record, credit score, State, etc.
  12. Bill E. We both have our perfect world in opposite times of the year! My Island home is going on the market in Feb. and my 2 sections of land in Sep. 2019. The land is great for hunting in West Texas, but nothing else!
  13. You also have to take into consideration of the price of the home...way lower than most other states! My house on Galveston Island, was built in 2006, it's 3,770 sq. ft. under roof, I pay (locked in) $4,247 per year in tax, on tax value of $263,000+! Appraised re sale value of $437,500. The Lot is 26,800 sq. ft. You can take a 5 minute walk to the beach! What would that cost on East or West Coast ? Tax?
  14. Depend on City, County & Location X3! The closer you are to a big city or beach, the more you pay...biggest bite is school tax, second is "City Improvement". Linda has 9 rent houses in Burnet City...her tax bill went up 50% this year, but value of house & property only increased by 2%! We call that city council greed. The Hill Country is now a bedroom community of Austin & displaced Kalifornians, who forgot, why they moved to begin with! Sell a house in Kalifornia and buy 1,000 ac. in Texas and run for city council & raise taxes for "improvements", that we don't need. As WBill said...X2!
  15. P.O. Box is good also, a friend or family member can pick it up and send it to you.
  16. Roland, do look into property taxes, if you plan on buying a house...we are a homestead state, so if your over 65, you can claim that on your home, after 1 year and lock in the rate of tax, as long as you own it and it's your primary residence. 10 acres or more & you can be Ag exempt on property tax...qualification varies by County. In Burnet County, where we live, horses do not qualify, but feeding the wildlife does & that's what we do!
  17. Just a thought, on this Thanksgiving Day! 20 years from now, probably sooner, you can kiss the RV Industry, good by! Same with gas and diesel cars! Welcome to the 4th High Tech industrial age... Every thing as we know it, has been growing and changing exponentially since 1986!
  18. At 75+ and 6 foot 8 inches, I don't bend the way you all do! Happy Thanksgiving!
  19. JoBob04. Thanks for your reply & Happy Thanksgiving!
  20. We have 4 seasons in Texas. Cool, Hot, Wet & Hotter! 🦃
  21. Ken. AMEN to that. My Linda is native Texan...I'm by choice, 1966 !
