  1. Al. Welcome! A toad is convenient. However I'm a Dinosaur in the Motorhome . Never had anything besides Class A, in the late 1960's to 1981, we did not have a toad, did not know what a toad was. We had 18 foot to 31 foot and unhooked each time we needed to go for Laundry, shopping or sightseeing. It was a way of life and no problem! In 1981 we had an Apollo 3100 and had a custom made lift made for the front to carry 2 Honda 80cc scooters! WOW !!! The freedom! In 1983, we had a Apollo 3300 that had the Hondas in front and in 85' we added a Isuzu trooper II as a Toad. In todays market, where most Class C's and A's are 102 inches wide, instead of 96 inches above, with no slide out. I would have to agree with DD69...your limited due to 102" wide!
  2. Easy for you two! I'll have mine taken care of by Cummins again.
  3. Bob. I think we all get where your coming from and agree! We on this forum are about 90% for not, changing FMCA...that seems to be the minority! It's very frustrating to most off us and even more so, when I read responses from some that wrote, the complete opposite, several pages back...in Texas we call them "Post Sitters", you may call them "Fence Sitters". they have no idea how they got there, what their doing there, or how to get off ! Ross. You know when and where! You can and have in the past answered your own question! Bill E. Yes! Total agreement. Isaak1. We have been down that road and I don't know! Joe. ??? Have no clue, to a turnaround or even if one is needed...smithy say's that we are loosing money...must be FMC not FMCA !
  4. smithy. I'm not against you. Your job is hard enough already...
  5. Do not use COCONUT OIL...after living in Cayman Island, I found out...there is no such thing! You get the water and the meat, no oil...like margarine, it's man made! All they need is a teaspoon of the water, or some hydrated meat and they can call it Coconut Oil...legally!
  6. I will do that...it has a taste, that makes me wonder what's in Land of the Lakes Butter.
  7. Welcome! Have no idea where you live, but I can't even relate to -50F....Siberia get's there occasionally! -100F is overkill, what's the price difference if any? Color should not make a difference as long as it's not glycol.
  8. Pathetic! Less than 10%... One would think that even with RVillage, we would be above 10% by now!
  9. A little math, had there not been an illegal investment of $250k to RVillage and how much is being spent at the current meeting in Elkhart, IN? Bet, we could cover the extra cost of Assist for several years! All we get is denial and excuses....sure would be nice to put a stop to wasteful spending and $$$$ going out the back door!
  10. Kay, I feel your pain! Can't cook? I can cook with all slide's in, not the ideal situation, but I will have dinner!
  11. Such a shame, change a few laws and California would not have half the bad burns you have! Stay safe, enjoy the ride and wish you Luck!
  12. Your making me hungry Kay! I bought 15 pounds off real butter from a Amish farm in Bremen, IN. We froze it in 2 1/2 pound wheels, now we have one wheel left...bummer!
  13. I'm with Brett. 3 years from manufacture date or 2 years if dirty...caveat would be if you drive in really dusty conditions, then as needed. After a trip to the Mexican side of the Sonora Desert, I got a new one installed to be safe, even thought it was 4 months and 6,000 miles old ! Paranoid? I can be! My current filter will be 3 years old in November.
  14. Is that with or without Crisco or real Lard? Don't tell me you expect 3 wishes if you knead the dough enough!
  15. Think I'll leave that experiment to WBill, Kay or Joe L. They'll fry, I'll not try!
  16. This post is over 2 years old...The OP has a coach...Rodger S. has never owned any form of RV! Draw your own conclusion !
  17. Unfortunately, most folks can't say that. Even the big wineries, their grape vines maybe OK, but when you have lost everything else, no matter how good it's insured, it will take years to replace! Then there are the "others"!
  18. WARNING: Do not use Microwave if you have a "Pacemaker"! We use the Convection only part in either one of our houses and in both coaches....Life is hard, when you have a significant other with a DP & 2 homes. I also have 2 homes! That's 10 M & C's!
  19. 2nd highest house and garage on Island. We where in Ruidoso, NM & other home in Burnet, TX. Thanks for asking. I'm looking for acreage between Palestine and Rusk..
  20. smithy., Now, that I'm "Old, feeble minded and same with body" (BS that's what everyone thinks about us over 71) ! I have had nothing but good times with FMCA in the past 39 years and it would have been 1967, but I was working Internationally! Since I did not become a member at 71 years old...I still had plenty of reasons to belong to FMCA...it's a state of mind. These days everyone want's the "freebies" and geared for them!!! Trust me, in the old days, the only thing "FREE", was the Fellowship & sharing of coach information! Forget the trailers and raise the annual dues! Sure, you'll get plenty of flack from the folks that dish out $400+k for a coach, then stay in Wall Mart parking lots!
  21. Bill, just have Herman do it for you! I have no problem with my Signature or Spell Checker...
  22. I must have missed that year! Sorry Herman, SAS Army! Happy BD anyway!
  23. dp26. Sure hope your place got spared. Napa don't look good anymore! Wish you Luck.
  24. Bill. You can't tow the Bentley or a RR either! Bigben6969. Wish we could...sweet car, mine was a 6 gas, had it up to 147 mph a lot...it's governed at 153 for USA! Why? Go figure! Cheap???
