Recommendation For State To Title A New Country Coach
manholt replied to piperfrank1's topic in Buying an RV
Piperfrank1. I take it your not going full time, so I suspect your making a property move as well as your new coach(it really does not matter what coach you have). Lowest property tax State that I know. Is LA., Insurance....I have Progressive now, have had All State, they cost about the same and pay quickly! Title is bad in Texas, it's by the weight of the coach. Mine is $811 per year! Unfortunately, I have found no place that all 3 gel. I think Montana is the closest to perfect you can get for all 3 questions. -
I have a Spartan chassis, so I get mine from Cummins!

Nice Link, I'll look at mine tomorrow after I thaw out.

Ditto to all above! It's a hard lesson learned...Like most here, I self insure. Yes, I have taken some hits, but in the course of 17 coaches, I'm way ahead of the game! -

CarlAda. Your correct and I think it was an Allure, the only thing I don' remember (It was in FMCA magazine) is the year...I want to say 2015, before WB bought the rights! Also, feel that it was For Sale! -
X2 ! I-40 or I-30 can easily become a nightmare that time of year...we don't get many inches of snow in Texas, but we do get white outs a lot and on I-30/20 we make up for the lack of snow by having ICE RAIN...nasty stuff ! Going thru Texas is 50% of your journey!

Wonder what the cost of a re built 425 CAT or 400 ISL is? Bet it's more than $180.00 !

2005 Holiday Rambler Vacationer Driver Seat Adjustment
manholt replied to drakeygirl's topic in Modifications
Herman, back when I was 6' 9" (You shrink with age) I had a VW Bug and a Porsche, lots of leg room! I have, in 50 years, never found a need to move my drivers seat in a Class A ! Got to be an obstruction. Have had busted wires in the swivel. -
I would think you can use any service you want, including FMCA or Escapees...just make sure it's not set up as a legal add. change. I used to have a cabin, some time ago, and would spend 4 months a year there, it had a P.O.Box and I would receive all my mail there, then I just filled out the form when I left and it would revert back to my house in Texas. Don't know if it's different now!

2006 National RV Sea Breeze Tail Light Assembly
manholt replied to cosmoandrus's topic in Electrical
Cosmoandrus. Welcome! We are trying to help you, but our problem is that we have a tough time finding the correct lights for our rigs that are still manufactured today! You have a good coach that unfortunately has gone out of business, so it's difficult to find parts thru the normal channels! That's why we suggest Junk yards, etc...a photo, as mentioned, would be of great help!- 7 replies

Jim. For whatever reason you hung up the coach key's, I wish you a happy return someday and in the meantime, please enjoy and share on this Forum! Have a Blessed day Carl C.

Wayne is an expert on water and tires...his old coach learned to swim this year! All kidding aside. I agree, my onboard air will take my coach tires to 115 pounds (steer tires), 105 for Drive tires and 95 for Tag! I do carry a 150 portable with me, just in case!

Wayne, does that apply to a "Spare" coach as well?

Piperfrank1. Welcome to the Forum! New CC? Last one off the line was a 2010 built in 2009....not aware of a 2017 or 18, unless it's by Winnebago! Other than that, I agree with Herman! -
I got your info 4 x 4!
-
Blake. For that you might have more company than expected...LOL. Don't worry, wrong time of year for us, try October or March, April, May...I don't do 110 in the shade or snow on the ground..
-
Me too! Along with a chees omelet, bacon and tater tots!
-
No guess, re-read what I wrote! If the slide is out and you open the fill door, all you will see is the bay and the access cap to the fuel line.

Texas Custom Coach, in Pipe Creek, TX. did mine last June! Excellent work and at $85 an hour! Ask for Dave (owner) or Mike (Son in Law), they also do body and paint work....I you want a Custom Prevost, they do that also!

dyoung97. Welcome to the Forum! Where do you call home? We probably have someone on this Forum that can help in the "Service Dept."!

Joanna. Welcome to the Forum! What year and length is your Phaethon? You should be able to use your onboard "Dry Air" compressor! Yes, you would need a "Jelly Hose" and appropriate fittings...get 50 foot.

That's the way my 07' WB Tour 40' was, as DD69 said. Really a clean and well built 05' Itasca!

Al. Welcome! A toad is convenient. However I'm a Dinosaur in the Motorhome . Never had anything besides Class A, in the late 1960's to 1981, we did not have a toad, did not know what a toad was. We had 18 foot to 31 foot and unhooked each time we needed to go for Laundry, shopping or sightseeing. It was a way of life and no problem! In 1981 we had an Apollo 3100 and had a custom made lift made for the front to carry 2 Honda 80cc scooters! WOW !!! The freedom! In 1983, we had a Apollo 3300 that had the Hondas in front and in 85' we added a Isuzu trooper II as a Toad. In todays market, where most Class C's and A's are 102 inches wide, instead of 96 inches above, with no slide out. I would have to agree with DD69...your limited due to 102" wide!

Easy for you two! I'll have mine taken care of by Cummins again.
