  1. Bill, thank you! I have been assured I will be...can't guarantee I'll be dancing a Polka, but ambulatory!
  2. Rodger. I agree that there are issues within the RV Industry that can be improved upon. I believe about 25% of most things I read, and less of what I hear! You have the equivalent of the rvdaily report in just about every Industry out there. "Award winning journalist", say's so and so! Does he/she own their RV, power boat, sail boat and high end car? I don't think so...they base a truth upon Forums and complaints! I would venture to say that most RV's would never give you any more of a problem, than a well built house, if they just sat there hooked up and didn't move down a road. Moving down the road, is where the fun happens...first time buyers are not thinking about all the maintenance that is involved in keeping the RV rolling and them happy! Also, don't complain about items that the Manufacturer of the RV have no control over! It's not their leveling jacks, appliances, AC or heating units, wheels or tires, locks and hinges, battery's, chassis or engines, on and on! RVIA has been around for a very long time! Before that the RV industry was bedlam and there was no control over anything. There would not be millions of RV owners out there, that are second time plus owners, if the RV manufacturers where as bad, as the people who complain, say they are! I'm on my 17th and I'm not Stupid! My 2 cents worth and please, don't take anything out of context.
  3. Last time I was up there, I took the Freeway to Rifle and then 13N to 789 to I-80. Nice road and nice scenery 90% of the way...I was in a 40' DP.
  4. Good for you! Glad we could save you some bucks....I really love Dealers...NOT ! "Barn Find?" No kidding. Your up early/or late!
  5. As Bill say's, visually check that all jacks are up, before you add fluid to reservoir. When Jacks are down it will show that fluid is low, takes fluid to push jacks down, it comes back when you raise them. All it takes for light to come on, is 1 jack not all the way up. Would help to know what system you got...HWH or ? What kind of warranty work on Jacks did Dealer do?
  6. Rich. I have touch pads all over coach, in front each one has it's own function. like raise day shades, night shades for front and side windows, individually or all at once. Same on side wall of coach for shades and lights. All total there are 63 of them and 1 toggle switch in bedroom for generator on/off...they all blink white. Which ever one I have that is on will show blue. Manual shows nothing! All it tells me, is that my CB box is in hallway and it's not...it's in bathroom! I've had Cummins Coach Care, Texas Custom Coach, Motorhomes of Texas and AC try to run it down...no luck!
  7. No! Thinking it might be a fire suppression system...the previous owner didn't do drag racing, did he?
  8. Roy. You don't have to worry about getting in ! Just try to be on time and in the Meet & Greet, it's a revolving thing for about an hour. Brett, I'm like Herman. I can't go anywhere for another 2 weeks...on meds. They make me sleep a lot and get up at strange hours,,,I've had my 8 already!
  9. Herman. Universal cheap! I did the same.

    Perfect RV

Not going to happen! Rodger. Good thought. But...
  11. Blake. POTUS say's it still is, but it may not be for long. The SR-71, I have only seen it once in flight for maybe 2 seconds, then I heard it for a long time! Herman. Nebraska is a very interesting State if you like flat, straight and corn fields...when they say "Texas goes on forever", they have us confused with Nebraska.. Nice thing about the Amish...to me they serve up some great food and baked goods ! Or was that Mennonites. I'm dizzy!
  12. Bill. Don't have much choice with the heat wave where having! Sun comes up and it's 74 and an hour later and the feel like temp is pushing 100 ! Joe. Your right, crickets!
  13. Did you all forget about me?
  14. 2 years ago at the pre rally in Oregon, I had the Tech from American Coach come to mine, because the touchpads for all my lights, day/night shades and vents would start blinking for no apparent reason. Also the day/night shades in hall and bedroom would not work. The Tech checked a lot of pads and wire harnesses under bed, inverters/chargers and Magnum control panel...problem went away and I was a happy camper! 6 months ago, it came back and the blinking became worse. Last night all lights went off, but AC was still working and a clunking noise could be heard, then the pads would all blink when I turned the lights back on...then the AC would cycle and each time, pads would blink. I got to looking at my control panel and noticed that AC 1 Compressor was on and at 9 amps, #2 was on at 10 amps and #3 was on at 0 amps....I turned off #3 (don't know why) and all blinking stopped and has not done so for 4 hours now. I also will add that all 8 batteries for house has been checked, ditto for posts, connections, connection to Inverters and grounds! So, does that mean that I need a new #3 AC unit? Or am I missing something? Carl
  15. Marty. That certainly looks a lot better than the other pictures, happy it worked out for you and at a nice price! Thank you for getting back to us! Wish you safe and happy travels... Carl
  16. SL. In the meantime run your roof AC's of the generator as your traveling down the road!
  17. OK. Enough of this ! Harry, please do us a favor, after you have your coach and have experienced a couple of months in it, get back on the Forum... It would be a pleasure to hear from you. Carl C.

    REV

Tom. You forgot Trek. 2016 and it's had some changes done to it, I'm partial to the original concept. Now a days, it's whatever sells ! Functionality is out the window... Now, what I wonder about, is what Winnebago going to do with Country Coach ? I Goggled WB and Itasca, there is no difference in either one now, including price! Itasca used to be to WB, like Lexus is to Toyota! Carl
  19. Tom. I'm pretty sure the '11 Red DP, don't have a "Nocold". My '11 Allegro Bus had a residential 3 door fridge.
  20. Factory pick up is a good thing. Before you leave for home, tell them that your going to a RV Park, 75+ miles away, for a 3 day shake down cruise. If there are any issues, you'll write them down and be back, If not, you'll head home or where ever! It's a rock and roll house, something that is great at the factory camp ground, is going to give down the road. When my DW was still alive, we did 2 factory pick ups and if it cost $$$ to do so, over what I paid for coach, she never told me! That part makes no sense to me...Have already paid, so what am I paying more for?
  21. Herman. At least he spells my name correctly ! Good point about tank.
  22. I did not have the DP in mind, the numerical difference will never change...matter of fact a DP will keep costing more and more as the years roll by than a gas...maintenance! is the big equalizer. I also have looked at gas lately, why? I'm a Shriner, but I don't run all over the Country anymore with a trailer full off Parade toys! For that it takes a DP. All I pull now is the Jeep. Also, I don't have a wife with me. My user name is MANHOLT or Carl. Thank you! Carl
  23. What did I say about "who buys and who pays"! OK ! First, no body pays MSRP on a unit...get somewhere between 25-35% off either price! MSRP is just a #, If you compare Newmar MSRP to Dealer MSRP the dealers is going to be 10%+ higher...so figure the 25-35 off Newmar! Google Newmar and on that page of CS it will say "build your own now", Yes you can buy one from Newmar and they will co-ordinate with dealer...that cuts out a lot of BS and you/wife get what you want, not what a sales man wants you to have! $120K max. with options maybe $125K. Second, Don't be afraid to negotiate and most of all "HAVE FUN" !
  24. David, Perry seems like a long time ago! I have heard and read so many posts about "Nocold" in the past 3 years, that I can't see any benefit to keeping them! As Shelby said, it's designed for RV's, so was Dometic, but back in does days, that's all we had and we did not have all the tech advantages of today. My advise for both safety and reliability, get a residential fridg ! See you down the road... Carl Christensen
  25. 15 years on the same tires, to us, is ridiculous...but, to people that think cars, it's not...what the blank do I know?
