harrtglos. Regardless of length, it's an entry level new DP. Minimum HP, and thin veneer over thin plywood, lots of visual bling. You can tow a toad, but with the HP and Torque, don't go over 4,000 pounds, regardless of the hitch. I don't know how much you can pay, nor how you intend to use your coach. For about $280K you can get a new Dutch Star DP by Newmar, 40' Tag and tow any towable toad you want, also your choice off Freightliner or Spartan chassis at no extra cost...build your own! There are a lot of coach dealers out there besides mhs in Alvarado, TX. If your determined to get new, then check all the new manufacturers of DP's...If you want to see some nice used DP's then Goggle Motorhomes of Texas!

Rodger....Wrong! I don't know many, but enough of the Custom Coach crowd to know what they do. One. They don't pay MSRP for a new coach (neither do I or 90% of us), 30% to 40% off. Second. All the ones I know, let their Company or family stock Corporation buy the coach and place the name of Co./Corp. on coach...7 year depreciation and advertising tax write off. Entertainers and NASCAR drivers do the same thing. Third. They drive their own coach! Only entertainers don't when they are on tour...makes good sense to me! You have to many probably, that = I'm guessing!

Let me re-phrase that: In this heat it is possible and probable that you have liquid in tank. I suspect that the Brunner 101 pounds is the dry weight of your tank ! It was over built for some reason. Brunner has not had any thank explode, but they have had implosion...rather not have either one off them.

Herman. That's the edge? Since I do the same, except now I have to use the San-T-Flush at every RV Park or the red light comes on and then you can't flush, I'm on the same edge... desertdeals. Then you and DW either hold it and no potty stop between point A & B...or you do and just let it sit in bowl all day...ugh!

Joe. by law (Fed.) there is a T.W. and number stamped on neck of Propane container....any size portable or non! An example...20# tank will have 3.6 that is the weight empty and 20 pounds = 80% full. So, your 65 gallon tank, if it took 2 off you to move/lift it, you have propane still in tank.... Bill. Feather light and pressure washer, is a great idea....

Joe. Had you read the OP's post, he has all maintenance and add on records in coach... He's also not new to motorhomes, Just class A, DP's.

rsBill. Massa is what gives it body! Same stuff you make torttias (not spelled right) out off. Corn or Flour, your choice. Fritos is only good for starting a fire, I carry a couple of small bags in my survivor kit when 4 wheeling in Mountains. When I want beans, I'll use a pound dry and make a pot. Do not care for can anything! The only time can goods are good to have, is in case of a hurricane. I buy it at Sams by the case in Spring and give it to a food drive prior to December, if I haven't used it...IKE was in 08' and my friends and I got rid off everything we had in the way off food when the natural gas was turned off....That's why we now have Propane Generators for house! You can't compare the stench of a freezer, full of meat, after 2 weeks of no electric in 90+ degrees!!!

desertdeals. Had to re read this post. You and I are on the same system...city water. I only use my fresh water tank to flush when on the road!

Any Tiffin coach pre 06' was very good and solid. With everything you said, my only concern is the "Oshkosh" chassis (they where solid but heavy) and don't know if a 230 is big enough an engine to move it in todays environment. Back then the speed limit was 55 mph on the freeways, nation wide. Then there is the up/down hill issue. I'm guessing the coach is 40'? What price do they want? Over 50K forget it. My engine should be a 500+ ! Carl

Well, the last time I had those kind of beans, they where no where near a chili ! New Year's is the only time I have Black eye peas...suppose to bring good luck for coming year! So far, it's a not.. Real Texas chili, no beans!!! Beef or Venison or both...some folks up around Sweetwater, TX. also use rattle snake! Thick and hardy. No Sour Cream, Chees, Chives, Cilantro or Fritos floating around top! You want all that, go to NYC..

Very interesting. Think I'll get the one for $149, got a few ideas I would like to try out. My Dutch Oven at the house, is the really old fashion kind, that you can fit right on the fire and lay a layer of coals or hot rocks on top of lid...it's older than dirt !

Bill. You forgot to include West Texas...Guadalupe Mountain, Davis Mountain and Big Bend Mountains, in Central Texas, we have the Hill Country and last the Palo Doro Canyon! I like the Mountains of NM and Colorado in summer, because it's cooler and way less humid than the other, lover 46 states! For your empty weight...look on the collar of your tank, it will give the Tare weight (T.W.) + 35 gallons = full tank weight. The TW is empty weight...

Rodger. I have not run across a " hot coach ", since the 70's! Back then, they where transitioning from 15 - 20A, to 30A pedestals and you would get problems. Now a days, unless your in a very old, small, campground, your not going to find "hot coaches"!

Prior to the time Wayne got his and 3 years after. GS was golden! Then GS and CW got a new owner, Marcus Lemonis, been kaka since and not getting any better, that also includes CW aka Camping World. I had GS from 73' until I traded my 07' Winnebago, in 11'. I did not renew on my 11' Allegro Bus and have been self insured since! I do carry Coach Net for road service!
