  1. Jayco is now owned by Thor ! There was one thing that I thought was odd with the last article, OK two. Where do you find a brand new trailer, even 5 years ago, for $10,000? No real mention about Class A's gas or DP ! Carl
  2. obedb, Joe. Your both right...and the articles opening remarks, say's it all...Bling! Joe's DW has the right idea, perhaps not for the right reason...she want's a Prevost with no slides! I have to agree. Rock solid. Same with Kay's MCI and any "Bird" DP.
  3. Wrong. Call a truck tire dealer that does fleet Michelin and ask for availability and cost.
  4. Joe. I think we can all relate to that one.. Rodger. I'm currently visiting my best friends cousin, who I'm also friend with. I let him read your posted article, he has never had any kind of RV and his observation was golden. Whom do the advertisers market and whom do they appeal too? Not us...our DW's ! That goes for houses, vacations, furniture, cars, RV's, school districts, anything and everything you want to sell, revolves around the woman...she picks it out, you buy it... Jim was in charge off Advertising and Marketing for the biggest Hospitals in America for 37 years, now he runs a marketing consultancy for different "Specializing Hospitals"! So, as long as we have "BLING"...the RV Industry will not change to better products, dealer service or quality control as long as Joe's DW wants a Prevost...and she will get one ! Sorry, Joe, Carl
  5. I had 2 on a 97' Allegro, temp sensors! Carl
  6. Blake. Maneuvering a dolly around is hard to do with only one hand...the other has a beer!
  7. Mine is the same as Blake, with a macerator. My model # is inside the toilet lid. The only Thretford dealer in Kentucky that I know...Camping World, Bowling Green, KY.

    My Rig

    OK. Nice. What is it?
  9. Next time you lube a door lock, use graphite.
  10. Wayne. People have short term memory. The Quality control and lack thereof, have been on going for 40+ years and eventually the company's fail and go Bankrupt, never to be heard from again. Revcon, Landau, Revco, Apollo, Royal, just a few of class A's gas and diesel. So, in the long run? NO ! Carl
  11. Blake. I have newer heard of a toilet taking a "Dump"... Carl
  12. Nice to see the truth in writing, about time! Thank you. Carl
  13. rpbuttery. I have 3 and the front and middle drain thru the center off coach (outside), Rear AC drains like yours. If you just have front and rear, I suspect your front drains like mine, to the middle off coach. That prevents it from running down your windshield. Carl
  14. Joe. Looked at all the pictures...does DW strip the coach every time your home? You really ought to buy her some extra bedding..
  15. OK. Now that we know all about driving around the Eastern area. How about some thoughts about Springfield and W. Springfield? I for one have never been there and I imagine a lot of members that are going to the re union have not either ! Carl
  16. Joe. In the wrong place! I would guess, in front of fire wall, by generator.
  17. Rodger. Hi, welcome to the Forum. Is your system both air and jacks, or just jacks? If you have the complete manual (40 pages) of your system, it will give detailed info on how to force a over ride, also on how to dismiss the force on one or all jacks, up or down. There is a 6 page section on how to trouble shoot system (menu), it will check it's self. Most common cause for your problem is low voltage in battery's, also the engine must be running, emergency or air break on and front wheels must be straight ! If you don't have the manual, then call Lipper Industries at: 1-866-524-7821 then #2 and #1 after prompt, that gets you to Tech Department...if you ask, they will fax you a copy. I just went thru this 2 days ago! Carl
  18. In the "Old Days of FMCA", it was a way to meet other members, if you had the space, I was on the program for 14 years. We did not have the amount of RV parks as now and when traveling to different parts of the country, we would call someone on the list, or overnight in a rest area, truck stop or just a wide spot on the road. We also did not have any of todays high tech items and a large part of the country was still building freeways. We would all just rather be around a fellow FMCA member!

    Freeze Plugs

ObedB. We all have them...even with out Tonic ! Joe. They dropped it off in your living room !!!
  20. Or if your not (pedestal) hooked up to 50A. I had a 07' Winnebago Tour...same system.
  21. Bill. He has his OWN coach ! He want's to get to know and feel secure in his coach...
  22. Bill. Herman is generous, but he's leaving for 7 weeks...think he takes the saw with him! It's a security blanket thing... He'll probably let you camp by the rattlesnake pit.. Carl
  23. There is really only one way to get too know your coach...go! It's kind off like getting a new pet...none are perfect and it takes time for each to train the other...go bite the bullet ! You can crawl under that Beaver until death do you part and know nothing more than you do now... DP's don't like to just sit...you need to run them and noise in the house is normal...home on wheels.
