  1. Mwilson Send a PM to ObedB....he's begging for it.
  2. What I don't understand is why are you procrastinating? Dump the stuff in, you have nothing to loss! For the cost of a "rubber O ring", who would care if the DP works for 5 years or 10? If nothing works, then dump the system you have and get the air/jack system and be done with it. Carl
  3. FIVE, Totally agree....but we all got to start somewhere and a lot off folks are afraid of the larger DP coach! Carl
  4. If you plan on not having power to any fridge for more than 24 hours, empty it off all food in fridge and freezer or it will be moving by itself. It is best to clean it and leave all doors open to allow air circulation. I also leave a pie pan of charcoal and kitty litter to absorb moisture! Carl
  5. RodgerS Click on huffypuff (Ray) picture and send him a PM. His coach and toad is for sale at a price that is hard to beat! I know it's not 10 months or more down the line, but with Ray you will know that you have a trouble free unit! Carl
  6. Did you put the card into the receivers? Are you speaking with a DirecTV tech. who understand that your unit is on a RV and not a house? Most Reps. have "no clue" so you need to ask for an RV tech.! Carl
  7. Ray. Sure glad your still on Forum! You have a lot of knowledge and common sense that I would miss! Carl
  8. ObedB. I was not questioning you! There are a bunch of seals that are made from non rubber compound. Therefore, Petroleum distillates will not degenerate a seal! I use Lucas all the time for different applications! Love the Slick for detailing coach. I think Roland is reacting to what he has been told about PD, rather than what he knows! I'm not an expert on seals or rubber, just fairly familiar with Petroleum after 24 years, pre retirement, as a Petroleum Engineer. Carl
  9. Do you know what the seals are made off, or you just guessing?

I would take it out and leave it and before you build a closet check the floor to make sure you had no leaks. before you took delivery of coach, it's a good chance the dealer ran it to make sure it worked. Been there, a real soggy mess! Carl
  11. I'm sure glad that's been clarified, Joe completely confused me! In Texas you need a CDL "B", non commercial on anything over 26,001...written and driving test but no parallel parking. My only problem for both, was finding a City that knew about it and had the facility to administer both test and driving! Galveston is archaic in most things legal! Carl
  12. rubysdad. Welcome to the Forum. Most owners of DP's that have been around a while, started with gas units and we still remember them! Having said that, I agree with campcop and also recommend that you check with your dealer, manufacturer and chassis builder. Safe-T-Steer has been around since the late 70's that I know about, and I have used them on gas coaches from 24 to 32 foot, also on a 40' DP! Carl
  13. A metal fabrication shop should be able to make the tabs and weld them on, then drill new holes ! Carl
  14. You could also call Monaco...they might still have them in stock or cross ref. to another manufacturer! Carl

Have you removed it yet? Or will you remove it at home? 05' not used is not worth a lot off money, maybe $100....they have changed a lot in the past 11 years!
  18. Ask the Tire Guy, he is the expert in all things tire! If you really want to know...send him a PM. Carl
  19. Roger. We don't argue on this Forum! We try to help others and sometimes we miss, that's human nature! Why did you join this Forum? Is there something we can help you with? Carl
  20. Pack warm! I spoke with Fantasy about going 2 years ago...call them and they will answer all your questions and concerns! Carl
  21. Joe. Forget about skillet corn bread and scratch chili or, stew! Hard to regulate heat, that's why I went with regular electric...I love Cajun food and it's long cooking, unless your deep frying, now that you can do on Induction! I also love my cast iron and other cookware. Carl
