ObedB. Welcome to the 21st Century! Would it not be nice to pull into a place and not worry about a level spot? Sometimes it's a good thing to give up on the old and embrace a new thing... As you said, you have a steep driveway, no worry about fridge. Just breaks! Carl

Well, that should make Joe happy! Not... Wonder how much effort, time and fabrication it cost him? Carl -
Carrying a Stepladder for Washing Motorhome Windows
manholt replied to rfsod48's topic in Type A motorhomes
I carry a 2 step for front window and a 10' collapsible, they both live in a bay slide out. I have always figured that anything mounted on ladder knows how to walk off ! Carl- 32 replies

I enjoyed the conversation and meeting a new FMCA & Forum member, only wish more members had showed up...perhaps in August ! I got to say, it was a different way to close a meeting....my ears are still ringing! Yes, Herman, you need broad shoulders. Carl

Depends on when your going. I'm free from June 14 to end of July ( got to be in W. Springfield, Mass for FMCA, August 1). Then free until Sep. 24th. The last time I wanted to go over Wolf Creek, it was closed due to a wild fire ! I totally agree with you on I-70, only 2 things on it, that I like is Eagle and Rifle. All other Hwy's you mentioned, I also know from staying in Dolores, up 145 from Cortez towards Telluride. I too love the lakes and mountains....lots of 4 wheeling. Done Moab, too commercialized for my liking. Carl

Supplemental Braking - What's Best for My Situation?
manholt replied to matthew6279's topic in Toads-Towed Behind Motorhome
I called and spoke to Athens, he told me to call Monty here. I suggested to have it done next week, but was told there was no problem here! Carl- 34 replies

Supplemental Braking - What's Best for My Situation?
manholt replied to matthew6279's topic in Toads-Towed Behind Motorhome
Joe, Herman. Now that the Rally is open, I have made up my mind to replace my invisi brake system with the M&G...hope they can do it here! Now I'm wondering what to do with the current system? Carl- 34 replies

Barkley, Where are you parked? If you came from Cochran, you had a short drive. Carl

Tradition, by American Coach. I flushed system after dumping and red light is gone, it now flushes! In the morning I will put Dawn and Borax in bowl and flush with about 10 gal of water, then go outside and back flush for 10 minutes and let it sit for an hour before dumping. May work. I'll be back in Gladewater next Wed. for 4 days....I will have a squeaky clean black water tank when I leave for Galveston next Sat. The ranch workers have pulled black tanks a lot, James has 3 custom trailers for full living and 2 horses in each! Carl

Kay. I used that system ail the time, before I had this current set up, I don't have access to tank via toilet anymore! Only via the bay flush system! When I have the time, this toilet w I'll be replaced by a regular foot valve dump, so I can go back to ice cubebs and GEO! I. Started user guide ice back in the early 70's and it works! Carl

I will now hook up 40' of 3" and empty holding tanks. Not what I had planned today! Carl

$32 Mistake Putting Seals In Sealand Toilet
manholt replied to lylefikse's topic in Water and Holding Tanks
Joe. You at least have your priorities right. Man, life with one female is hard enough, 3 ? Not me...I want to remain "sane", whatever that is! Carl -
Joe. Yes, that is what I refer to in "back Flush". It cures the problem temporarily. The toilet is electric flush and will not allow you to flush when it senses that tank is full. It's only half full and I have had this problem for 2 1/2 years now! Don't ever get a Dometic 8700.
-
I think I have something in black tank that is covering my sensor for levels, currently I'm at half full but my macerator toilet is showing full and will not flush! If I dump now and back flush, it will work again for a quarter, half, or full....any thoughts on solution other than dropping tank? Carl

Removed one about 4 years ago, will never do it again! I suggest you get a timer from Wall Mart $2 ! I got 5 of them, coach, house, grill and spares! Carl

If I had a 80 pound Husky, I would only have a slingshot with steel balls! Carl

My Mother sprayed it on her hands, claimed it helped her arthritics ! Have not tried it. I was not going to argue with a mid 80 year old retired Dermatologist !!!

Not a "Chief" Look at front, cab is lower than roof. Champion is a poss. The whole coach is a POS. They would probably pay you to have it towed ! Carl
-
Herman. Good Morning. I was just going to post the same question ! I got me a golf cart yesterday. Carl

kranky. The last time I saw your coach up close and personal, was in 1987. I don't remember the owners name, but like me, they where members of the FMCA Texas Outlaws and Cruising Cajuns. When he drove it in to the RV Park in Eunice, LA the first time, it drew the attention of the whole park ! I suspect it would do the same today! Check under Chapters, there used to be and might still be a Vogue Club! I love seeing the "Old" classics on the road ! In the 1980's the Industry was still young ! Come to think of it, everyone on this post was young. Not Joe, he was barely legal ! Please post some pic. of interior! I roll at 63-65 on Interstate and 58-60 on Secondary roads! Carl
