  1. MSRP in the Coach world is whatever a Newbie or a sucker will pay! I have always asked for and gotten 30-35% off MSRP! The bank is going to finance 80% of the new figure even though they know that the value of the coach will depreciate 30% off the buy number as soon as coach leaves dealership! Then in 2013 a dude comes along and wants the same numbers financed as it was new in 2005! Not going to happen, ever! Carl
  2. I was on the same insane Interstate. going over to I-20W, so I took the loop, not to bad, If I was going too Ashville, NC. then I would just miss downtown. In Texas, I always take the Loop, most are toll now so traffic is a little lighter!
  3. Roadmaster with base plate and cables $1,400 + brake system installed $ 1,400.
  4. There are times, that it is important, to bring older treads forward and thank you Tom, for reminding us all why we are here! Happy Easter and future travels to all. Carl
  5. Wayne. You forgot, brother Joe, now ex cop and full time, when in coach, gourmet chef and chief griller, who carries enough grilles etc to make Chef Bobby Flay jealous! I have no alarms, no unusual lights on coach. At home I have some motion detector lights, set at 5' above ground, also have 6 signs that my friend gave me, 2 different alarm company's, I got them side by side. The odds are in my favor that the Police and the Sheriff will not be on coffee break at the same time. lol. also they don't know if I'm hooked up or not! Priceless! They both patrol my subdivision day and night. We have way to many cops on west end of Island...one way in and 1 way off....some from the hood in Freeport tried to make it 2 ways....no, you can't drive across the Gulf of Mexico! Carl
  6. Sorry about your disappointment. As I understand it, you paid? $200K in 2013 for a 2005 coach? Are you surprised that the lenders would not go $200K? If these numbers are correct then I would expect the lenders to go for $50-$75K. If you paid $200K then you bought a coach for $100,000 more than actual worth! There is little value for things like, "Like New" or "Immaculate". Also, 36,000 miles on now, a 11 year old coach, I would hate to see the seals, bushings, belts and every thing in engine that needs to be run in order to keep all the parts well lubed ! What the lenders would go with, was approximately 80% of Value per NADA in 2013...Normal. Carl
  7. Yea. Your 43' Cardinal had a lot more livability area, than my 45'...I agree, it would be a tough call to downsize to a coach!
  8. Bill. I'm in wonderful TX.. I'm in Gladewater until tomorrow am, then at house in pm and I have a slew of stuff to take and do between Sunday am and Tuesday am before the Doctor puts me to sleep for 4-6 hours, Tuesday morning at 0830! Having all my teeth replaced by implants....I'll send a PM when I can laugh again, around 4/10 Carl
  9. Just look at your china toilet bowl if you let go and not clean for a week....real eye opener!
  10. Combination of both would work...rubber to protect hose and then metal. Thing is I hook up and dump as needed, 3 women in an RV have got to be a strain on any system, especially when there are not any water use rules! I take a 5 min. shower in coach and 10-30 in house, Joe told me, each woman avg. 15 min. 2 or more times a day! I don't even know why he has holding tanks!! Carl
  11. Wayne, This is a real tough question: "What is the requirements of a critter guard"? Well, Wayne, think it's sole function, is to keep critters out off coach ! Eeh? Carl
  12. There is another case for documentation, if you, your children and your animal is here from another country, then the pet would have Quarantine papers and you would have a Visa! Carl
  13. George. Happy Easter! I had a gasser for 20+ years (most DP's where bus conversions), then I had a MCI by Barth (they went out of business in 1987). Back to gassers for 15 years, and now that every manufacturer out there have a diesel, I have owned them for the last 10 years! My "Truth be told", I don't have a DP because of fuel economy, cheap maintenance, cheap annual service, you can climb a hill as fast or faster than I can! I got a DP mainly due to the ride! The ride is not all because of air bags and shocks, but also weight, size of tires and tag axel....6 tire DP is night and day over gasser and no air bags, but 8 tires is "the cats meow"! Georgetown, has had enough years now on the market and thru trial and error, they have become a good coach ! So, don't forget, FMCA, it don't matter what you drive, just that you can get from cab to living quarters without going outside, have a self contained bathroom and kitchen! That makes you a Motor Coach owner, and welcomed any where, anytime! Carl
  14. Joe. Happy Easter. That's about as lengthy a mail that you have ever sent ! Got to agree, but we need not swell Brett's head anymore than it already is! Carl
  15. I think you will still have a flow problem and your culprit is the in line regulator. Your RV is a 2016 and to soon to have a filter problem. Disconnect one at a time and see where the flow problem is...I would use a outdoor faucet at house and attach an adjustable flow meter that you can set at 50 psi. attach water hose directly to faucet and check flow inside coach. I get a water psi reading inside as I do outside...+/- 5 pounds, you got good flow. Now, your whole coach filter will naturally restrict flow, 5 to 10 pounds, depending upon what kind off filter. On older coaches, replace the screen filter in each of the inside faucets, shower and water hose inlet to coach or at least inspect all of them every other year (don't forget to do that inside house also)! Carl
  16. I watched both of the above. Conclusion for me, if your a named product that cost money, you get tested in depth and if your an ice cube, your a joke! So, to me the Jury is still out. Herman. Happy Easter! MB was a very sick puppy! Carl
  17. Kay. Good morning and happy Easter! Do like Wayne, get an 80 pound Husky! Carl
  18. Sumo, is Manufactured and Distributed by Super Springs International. Made in the USA.
  19. On the Allegro Bus it swivels 360, I miss that, on this coach, the same as FIVE ! I would go with Brett's idea first and if that don't work. then work on another option. Carl
  20. It definitely would be nice, to hear that you bought something ! Alas...I don't believe that you ever will. Sarcasm is your forte, It must be tough on your ego to be a little fish, in a big pool ! Never mind, I will not answer any more! Carl
  21. Also, if you enter what you and your husband are traveling in and towing, like Bill or I have under our name, we can assist you further in the event of a mechanical breakdown or any other problems! That is our main reason for being on the Forum. Carl
  22. Wayne. Look further back on this post. Herman beat you on that thought in 2012 ! Carl
  23. All of you, I will try to explain my reason for using countertop rather than floor to obtain level. The floor is on the chassis first and then the sides and furniture including cabinets are installed. I don't think the builders are always as exact, on the zero bubble, as they should be. Therefor the floor could be level and the rest of coach...not ! I prefer to have my furniture level, if the floor is a quarter of a bubble off, that does not bother me! Now, in a perfect world.... Carl
  24. F448850, What make of coach do you have and do you tow a toad? Carl
  25. Herman, did any of the "jumpers" chock on their leash? I too have a vivid imagination and can just picture the dog jumping into cart, get treat and ZING, right back out!
