  1. What is a Trager? I use the Q200 Weber with the little green gas bottles...otherwise at home I use a round charcoal Weber and Custom Stainless Steel Smoker by Pits &Spits for a crowd...It will do 6 Briskets, 20 pounds of Sausage, 8 BB Ribs and a dozen quail at a time! I never have, nor would I ever dream of taking that bad boy camping! It' been to several BBQ Cook Offs, including HLSS & BBQ. I cooked on the " Fowl Bunch" for 6 years....still tired of chicken! Carl
  2. Never thought about it. Now that they come pre done, all I know is I got 4, 10' lengths and a L connector for park hole with a donut. I get a new set about every 5 years!, if one is better than another? Don't know, Wall Mart.
  3. FIVE. The one they used for the 2010 Catalog, 45Y. Chassis December 09', built January 10' ! Carl
  4. Leave it at the lake house! With a note to neighbors, "You cook, you clean"! Or you can buy a Damon Outlaw and carry it in lew of a MC. Or tie it down on a Trike Hydra Lift. Your choice! We always say, "there's no Dumb question" on the Forum! Car
  5. Joe. Great ! Hope you have all the parts ! Two many off the wrong parts or not enough...have fun! Thought of the day: I want to get 4 pigs, red pain and number them 1,2,3 and 5. Let them loose in Wally World and watch Security look for #4... Carl
  6. ObedB. I would not bet on that! HR made some fine coaches back before the big bang! Come to thinking about it, they all (Manufacturers) did. After 07' it became a c**p shot. When I got this coach in 13', I rolled the dice and prayed that it was not a POS...lucked out. If I get another coach down the line, it will be a pre 06' anything (almost)! Have some friends out by Tyler, TX. that got 02' Dynasty's for less than $90K and got them remodeled with slide outs, spent another $60-85K and now have a coach that will be good for at least 10 years ! 4 of them, beautiful! Carl
  7. As I posted above, I'm not interested in what others want. Just in what makes me comfortable. There comes a time when all coaches, no matter what you installed over the years...re-sale value is zip! Even if you get a brand new coach at 30-40% off MSRP, your still going to drop another 30+% as soon as you roll off the lot. If you look under our signature at bottom of page, you will note that most of our coaches are not anywhere close to new. We buy used or drive it into the ground ! Carl
  8. bruceschindler. Your going to feel the bumps on I-71 no matter what you got. There are stretches of Interstate's that I hate! I know that I left parts of my coach coming off of Henderson, LA. on I-10 West bound or I-5 in CA. it is what it is! Even in my 45'. Since we don't have RV Hovercraft or magnetic highways, we live with it as best we can! So, as Brett said, we can improve the ride, don't expect a miracle ! Carl
  9. I'm still in Texas...leaving tomorrow am! I-20 was shut down in 3 places in LA. They got 2 open now, but Shreveport area got 14-18 inches of rain in 8 hours! We had 12.8" ! Carl
  10. Rambling Joe. My stress melted away 31 years ago....it's called Retired! Bill. You hit the nail on the head ! Especially the "Inspector" part... Carl
  11. I do have a question, that I have been meaning to check on in other counties of Texas. My coach is registered in Galveston County and last year I paid $882 in tag fee, this year it was $762 (might have been a type-o). Is it the same in the other Co? State is by weight, but I don't know how much that is....anybody? Carl
  12. Don. If it or anything else for that matter is not registered....how would they know you had one? No reg.=no tag! Carl
  13. Send a PM to Brett and let him know, it will be restored to correct name. Carl

Wonder what happened to Oynex, the OP? Did we fix his problem? Be nice to know !
  15. Richard. Welcome to the Forum! Call or Google American Coach and give them your VIN# and FIN#. Carl
  16. Duh ! Look at the pics. on Joes Gallery!
  17. Kay. A very long read and now I know more than I ever wanted to! The original Baja model would make a nice toad for the trout fisherman! No mention of a H2 model, so I surmise that it was a Custom Unit. Carl
  18. Don. Trailers also? I guess I need to register my "stuff" in an other Co. Don't have a "Dolly"! Do have a one wheel trailer for a MC. Several one and two axel trailers, a Stacker and 2, 30' low boys. If the road between Mt. Pleasant and Gladewater is open today, we have a 36' Flatbed coming. My partner has 3 sections in Ellis County and that is where we get the plates...lot cheaper! For anyone that may not know: Section = 640 acres. Carl
  19. Jim. Want to place a bet? He did not call?! I agree with any post that is: "Someone told me" or a " person told me" is suspect. I can't say that I have seen anyone tow without cables....long time ago, without chains? Yes. No known cure for Stupid. Carl

  21. Joe. I agree, surprised me too! Bill/Don. It's kind of like this: When I went to the DMV in Galveston and asked for the book so I could upgrade my license for a 26,001 + MH. They told me I did not need an A or B, so did a State Trooper that was there! So, if I was stopped by a cop...would I just tell him to ask Galveston? Per the cops in Gladewater, TX. I need a plate on my trailers...per the Sheriff Dept. in Edwards County, TX. I need plates on my trailers, even on my property, because it has a road that cuts thru 75 ac. of a 2 section Ranch property. I don't argue with them... Carl
  22. It is what it is! Kind of like toll roads, one day and I hope in my life time, it will be one way Nation wide! Until that time we do what we must for each State. Carl
