Bucc-ees in Luling, Texas on I-10 is selling fuel at $ 3.159....lowest fill up for me in 7 years! Now, if you love Love's, they are across the Freeway at $ 3.829 and with your Sam's card? Or Prevost card? Carl C.

The new $ 0.26 cents per gallon fuel tax applies only to commercial vehicles. For us RV'ers it will only apply to LLC's and Dealers or anyone else who uses the RV for making money or representing a business that makes money...otherwise its $ 0.18 cents per gallon. If you are caught using the wrong pump as a commercial business, it's a $ 1,000 dollar fine and $ 10 dollars per gallon...OUCH!!! Carl C.

Caster Adjustment And Specs: 1998 Beaver 8 Bag Suspension
manholt replied to Glenns72pc's topic in Chassis
Little things like slides and electronics added to the problems we have always had in my RV life. Bigger engines and heavier chassis didn't help! Some changes have been a blessing...I still shudder at the thought of carrying (2) 150 gallon fuel tanks on a 30 foot Apollo! We got better regulations and radial tires, etc. So, to answer your question, I would say a little of both evolution and same old! We must also remember that everything out there in Class A, C or B, unless it's a Custom built coach, is a cookie cutter build. Carl C. 10' AMC Tradition 45' Jeep Wrangler -

I'm guessing it's on a Doge chassis with a 440 engine, or an aspirated Ford. Please, let us know what you come up with? Carl C.- 8 replies

Sorry to hear that. Did you contact Decatur or Oregon Tech Center? Carl C.

pmarth. How often does it get stuck? You also need to keep all parts lubed and clean. Don't put any weight on step until it's completely out. The odd's are your problem is the limiter circuit. A new motor is not cheap! Last resort. Carl C.

I have given up on new! Too much trouble for the cost.

Brown 774. Mine goes in garage at the end of Oct. to 15 Jan. I have engine and gen. serviced, tanks empty, house batteries topped off and engine batteries turned off. Mine is plugged in to 20 amps. All electric coach. Carl C.

As Brett noted. Where you travel or live will dictate what is best for you. I have the 3M film and will not replace it...love bug season is coming. And they do a lot off damage to 3M. Will probably have my front re-painted and 2 or 3 clear coats applied. Paint, 3M or Lexan. None off it is cheap! Carl C. 10' AMC Tradition 45' Jeep 2 door Miss Lucky....the dog. Galveston Island, TX. Black & Gray Tank Level Indicators Incorrect
manholt replied to brown774's topic in Water and Holding Tanks
Clay. As you said, "pressure wash" is the secret. Also, I add some liquid dish soap when traveling. I wash the black tank on average twice a month. 100/60. Carl C. -

There is an inline fuse. You need to locate the controller....call your service center and give them the VIN #, they will tell you where the controller should be located. Good Luck. Carl C. -

I'm back! I went with International Plastic, pads for RV's are pre-made to 12" x 12" x 3/4" with rope handles, cost $ 40 each and good for 2,500 psi. I got them in Austin, TX. on my way East. They work great! I tried one under each jack at the store! Carl C. 10' AMC Tradition 45'

Walt...you say your way to old!? I'll be 72 in Feb! What's age (in years) got to do with it? Big bike is easier to balance than little, as for picking it up when you drop it. That's what friends are for! All that we do in life is between the ears...when I get too saying "I'm too old", I'll be hanging up the keys to everything!!! Pet Peeve. No follow up from trike queen or was there Email responses?

Walt! Since you tow a Ford 4x4, why not get a electric loading system for the PU bed? Lot cheaper and less weight on axel. My classic cruiser comes in at 918# non-trike. As a trike 1195#. My HD 72, 446#. In 1981, I had an Apollo 30' with a 2 bike lift on front off engine...lift + 2 Honda 125 cc = 600# + Carl C.

12 months now, still a long ways out! Do you really think we'll hear from 99 again? Carl C.

Mostly it's plain common sense. Biggest hazard is to be on the road at the wrong time. I also, stay up on the weather for several days ahead. I was in Utah when they shut down I-84E due to snow, about 5 weeks ago and I-15 was closed at the Nevada and Arizona boarder. I diverted too Hwy. 6 and 191 to I-70 then 191 true Moab to Monticello, Utah. Missed all rain, snow, sleet and wind! Carl C.

Looking For A Stop Off Between Fort Worth and Red River NM
manholt replied to jmkidwill's topic in Campgrounds
As Herman say's...depends on how your getting there. 287, I-40 to Hwy. 84N via Las Vegas and back way to Red River. Or I-40 to Clines Corner and Hwy. 285N to Santa Fe, then Taos to Hwy. 38 (I think)! Fastest is via Santa Rosa and Las Vegas. There is a nice RV park in Santa Rosa that used to be a KOA. My opinion is that the best RV park in Red River is the Roadrunner! All the trout tanks for the restaurants is in this park on the River. Carl C. -

26 KOA's are owned by the CEO, who also is Senior VP of Harrah's Casino in Reno, NV. The only KOA that I ever had a $$$ issue with, was August 4,2014 on my way to Redmond, it was Reno KOA! Look up KOA on Google, Wikipedia. Interesting read. Carl C. -
Shut-Off Valve for City to Coach Water

Brett. In order to post my DOB, I can not use just the year! Why must I leave my month and day also? Carl C.

Medico. The only thing you missed is that you got to be a member of GS and/or FMCA to be a SKP. That is the primary reason the magazines have similar stories and place's. Bill, all you got to do is pay a year dues and re-activate your old #....that # belongs to you and your family forever. As long as there is a FMCA, your # will not be given to another! More than I can say for GS and my # is 5 digits. I will agree, leadership should be in the 40-50 year old bracket and not the 60-85! I'm 71 and a Nat'l Director, our passed Director is 81. I would love to give this to a younger person....find me one! My pet peeve are those that in any organization, tell you what is wrong, but unwilling to volunteer their time and talent! That Bill, is the reason, we who run things are old! Carl C.
