One thing I have noticed over the years, the higher the quality the less likely you are to strip the hex. It seems like cheaper wrenches and sockets will expand under load and slip. For this (RV) application I will agree with Kay, Kobalt is priced well and holds up great. I carry Kobalt in my co car for those quick equipment fixes, always fun working on something in dress clothes . The Craftsman kit I have in the coach is from the 90's, still not as good as the older ones, but not nearly as bad as the later ones. Something to be said for older stuff being built better, the safety on the newer ones is lacking due to quality thus causing more knuckle damage and personal injury.

I carry this kit (older version) with some other miscellaneous tools in the coach. At home I have all of my hand tools from when I was a mechanic, including some shop tools from when I owned the mobile truck repair business. Home tools are mostly Snap-on and MAC, coach tools are mostly older Craftsman. Ian, the product above is a cream, non abrasive also. Kind of like a face cream, perhaps Manholt can use it on his feet (sorry another post humor carrying over ). Should suite your application just fine. Its the abrasive stuff when applied to a coated wheel that will dull it out. Just so you know, we also used the mirrors on the side of the refrigerator to watch the TV backwards while sitting at the table. DW's favorite spot, just wait for it....."hey I cant watch tv from this spot now"

Eddie, I have a similar situation as you, I fill from my valve cover not the gear housing fill, I've tried that and the oil goes in too fast and makes a mess. You can see from the photos where the gear housing fill is located. Also I use a 7 quart oil jug to fill ours, the down side is its weight, maybe prop it up on a ladder, unlock the lever to release the oil as it doesn't go in to fast for the main fill, but its to fast for the gear housing fill. The gear housing fill is right next to the Hydraulic reservoir and under the V belt.

What happened to the switch? I can see from the comments our 1st tag axle coach will be altered by me to make some sense. 1st it will be adjustable 2nd have adequate controls at the drivers seat position to control when its up and when its down, ill make that call not some computer that thinks this situation should be x. Most modern day electronics in motor vehicles are programmed by people that have no clue. Ill take that back to the driver to manage.

Herman, I put the booth in, it was a buffet with table that pulled out and two chairs. This floor plan also had the counter that ran to the front of the coach, oddly it wasn't there when we bought it, and there is no evidence it was ever present. This coach was a special order, and the build sheet has a power J-lounge in the specs, that was also missing larger holding tanks, heated tile floors and the ceiling medallion is missing, no sign of that either....makes you wonder My wife hates those mirrors, the only ones that remain are the bedroom closet doors and the one that covers the access to the back of the shower next to the kitchen slide. I see a picture on the wall in the future in the kitchen area My guess is I will be removing the closet doors, making my own in wood and hanging them

Pulled my mirrors out wall cleaned up good! I used a heat gun warmed up the glue and scrapped it right off, the cleaned up the remaining with Brake cleaner . Trim is off the side of the refrigerator in case anyone was wondering why it looks off. Some finial touchup with stain and we should be good! DW comes in....can you put metal behind the wall so we can put campground maps on that wall with a magnet? YUP put metal behind it . Surprisingly it works through that wood with earth magnets. Not well but good enough to hold paper.

We had AAA and their car insurance once upon a time. My father in law gave it to my wife when she got her license at 17. He told her don't call me 1st, call them . She had it for quite sometime afterwards. When they offered insurance we hopped on board, rates were decent. We bought our first motorhome and they wouldn't cover it. I have since looked into it a few years ago and they considered our motorhome a commercial vehicle, wouldn't cover it. Bought into Coachnet then, since dropped that also, waste of money. All the money spent on that nonsense I could tow my coach coast to coast and enjoy the sites by now . Never looked back. My car/coach registration I do online, takes 5 minutes. Can't imagine paying for a service to help with such a minuscule task. Maybe a hotel discount...wait we don't stay in hotels, have a motorhome full size kitchen endless hot water, King size bed, same appliances, well except the Kitchen Aid mixer but I've got duplicates of everything else. I only stay I hotes for work, I have so many points I'll never use them between Hilton and Marriott.

Takes me about an hour to do all 4 wheels. I picked this product up at Advance Auto Parts. I have seen it at Walmart before. I have to be honest, I went in to pick up a tub of Mothers wheel polish, this was on sale so I grabbed it, turns out it worked better .

Mine are coated, I hand polish with a non abrasive cream them a few times per year to keep the high luster shine. Here is a before and after and the product that I used.

Ahh, our favorite when in Pigeon Forge . Not a place to eat but a place to stock up, Bush Bean factory not far from Pigeon Forge. We always go and walk their country store and stock up on their products. I get gas just walking around that place with my cart

The log is a great idea! We have stopped along the road before at a few great hidden gems. Sadly I have no idea where they were. Last time in OK we stopped at a Walmart for the night, went to a little diner around the corner, best breakfast we've ever had, neither of us have a clue where that was . Great places to eat post by state would be helpful on here. We cook most of our meals, but I always take a peek to see if there is a place that was on TV for some outstanding dish nearby, if so we will go. Our big family trip every year we cook breakfast and lunch in the coach, dinner out.

Lift the tag at the toll booth entrance If you run 84 the bridge you will cross is not the Tappen Zee, it would be the Newburg Beacon Bridge, the Tappen Zee is still to close to and surrounded by chaos for me! That surrounding area has really grown and built up! depending on the time of day you could sit for miles in congestion. I travel into New England a few times a year for work, I wont use the Tappen Zee bridge in a car, the GW... NO WAY unless I'm headed into NYC for work, and if the inside of my car could talk, oh the stories it would tell ....... Broke a motor mount in my co car on the GW, full throttle to full ABS skid, that what you do onto and off of the GW!

redline, to answer your question "can low voltage cause low power" YES. Low voltage will drop the injector input voltage resulting in stress to the coils on them and will result in low boost, over time it will damage those injectors. Bad batteries are the first place to start, clean up all of those connections while replacing them, take it for another driver afterwards. I have a feeling you have a broken plate in one or more batteries causing the voltage fluctuation. Don't forget to check the other battery bank as well.
