We would never go back. Saw our first one in a 13 Fleetwood Excursion. At first I thought why? then after our diverted disaster I thought, Genius!

Same here, 83,000 miles on ours!

Blake, I was digging around yesterday also and noticed the same thing, not just with Monaco but across most coach lines.

I like the idea of a clean roof with less holes, my concern is serviceability and the space it takes up. Under storage is a premium for us, the more components down there the less space I have for stuff. How loud are they outside at ground level? That would be a huge deal breaker for us, I can just barely hear the roof tops while sitting outside.

We get bad condensation at the vents in the ceiling, only up front. Happens mostly when the front door is opened and the vents are cold air is hot, they sweat. I constantly wipe them down. When my drains clog it just runs off of the roof and down the side.

Blinking Running Lights & Lock/unlock System Cycling.

Also, the module for the keyless system is usually found behind the AM/FM radio on Monaco products. When my remotes stopped working that was where I found the module to reset it.- 15 replies

Blinking Running Lights & Lock/unlock System Cycling.
jleamont replied to nowronhere's topic in Electrical
nowronhere, under the cup holder is a bundle of very small wires, some will connect to the exterior keyless entry keypad. Make sure none of the wires that are not going to anything are not touching one another. The extra wires are for features not used. Probably wondering how I know that, I was in there one day I thought I had a water leak and bumped the harness and the doors locked and the dome lights came on in the coach. Scared the daylights out of me . I connected mine to switches so I can lock the door and bay doors from inside now. Before you could only lock the bay doors from outside, for whatever reason someone thought that was a good idea to walk outside when turning in for the night to lock the coach- 15 replies

Forgot to mention, we have two other families with the same problem as us with motorhomes, one is still green and I believe he is beginning to see it now. Believe me I search for others every trip out.

Carl, I just Google earthed that place and checked the reviews. From the reviews sounds like a great place to get beer

Herman, that's hilarious! You have many good points in your comment!

Or a trailer that is sitting on 15's that you can purchase at Tractor Supply for $150 with a new wheel, even comes with free air We are a family of 4 both working and in our 40's in a 41' DP. I have to be honest, the ONLY benefit I get is the Magazine and comradery amongst other members, she gets nothing. No travel discounts, No campground discounts, No fuel discounts, Roadside assistance you pay for. That needs to change and advertise it. Give us younger motorhome people something to sell to younger crowds. Wife saw the cost to renew, she asked me why am I paying so much for a Magazine hmmm....because I like the articles. We were considering joining a local chapter, haven't done it yet as all of their weekends are geared toward empty nesters at places in the middle of no where with nothing to do in that area, what do I do with two teens? Needless to say that has been put on the back burner along with a rally. Tried to plan on attending a rally, wife has asked me numerous times, what are we (her and the kids) to do while you are at seminars? She has also reminded me that this would be family vacation time that we would be spending apart and isn't the point of a family vacation and a RV to spend time together? For me to attend a rally I might take the week off without pay and go by myself, when its reasonably close to home or wait a few years until the kids are both out. This is my situation, I'm sure others in similar situations have similar hurdles to overcome.

Puff, where was that connector located?

Tom and Herman, the manual is a tough one, I completely agree. I played with it one afternoon and figured it out, out of shear frustration. The acronyms are all I use the manual for now. If you press and hold the inverter on/off the generator will start, do it again and it shuts the generator and the Inverter off. figured that out when the inverter was off and couldn't get it to turn on (also not in the manual) my favorite, I have the auto start set up to come on but manual off, why, I start the generator turn on the Roof AC as soon as the AC comes on the generator shuts off, because the batteries are full, it has no idea the AC was on. I called Xantrex with that one, they told me to correct this it needs the later model for $1900.00. I'll live with it! I'm not convinced they are correct on that.

Jack, assuming you have started it before with the RC7 panel? We have the same system and its tricky to get the generator to start with the panel, to the point I wont use the RC7 to start it. I have a switch next to the radio on the dash and next to the bed in the back, do you have any other switches inside, do they work?

Same here, had a Prevost pass us once like we we're standing still. Usually its TT's at 80 plus needing two lanes after to regain control. Most of their tires are rated at 65 . We just shake our heads and hope they don't crash.

Sounds like the posts above are pointing you in the right direction. If you are capable of checking them yourself (removing the driveshaft) don't forget to put down wheel chocks prior to pulling the shaft and make sure it can't roll.

Anyone read the June 2017 FMCA magazine? It's setting us up for it in a few articles . The one was so far out it made me laugh. We experience the same problem Keon experienced and we experience it often! I'm not saying all towables are occupied by people like that but not all motorhomes are occupied by retired snobby people either. we are labeled as such up in the NE anyway. The majority of them will not speak to you if you make the first attempt. The motorhome people were congregation in the road chatting about where they came from, places we want to go while the towable people were at their site and kept to themselves. It's night and day up here. You get smiles and good mornings from the motorhome people and shrugs from 95% of the towable people. The other 5% are young families that have their sights set on a motorhome in the future and have questions. Very divided in the North East with not much in common and nothing here in benefits to attract them. We have friends with trailers, they carry NO memberships for any group unless it's FREE.

Good point!!!

The first time I showered in it and tasted it I was done! Love the smell of the exhaust!

No need for two unless you don't trust the one built in or cannot access it to see faults (in our case) They maybe confusing GFI with EMS. Two GFI outlets on one circuit are a problem, one will fight the other and trip.
