tiffinallegro1, Welcome! I agree, there are some angry people on there with the mentality that their way is the ONLY correct way, I see it on Facebook also on the RV sites. What baffles me is how one could be so angry inside when this is your lifestyle or hobby. To each his own as far as I'm concerned. We all come from different parts of the country with different travel itinerary, budgets and idea's that often dictate what we purchase. None are right and none are wrong as far as I am concerned, its what works best for your situation.

That's a generic photo, mine is in pieces. I began the restoration project 3 years ago and lost interest. Thought about selling it, not sure. I don't know who's body it is but the odd part is the 64 Corvair chassis under it with 110 HP Chevrolet engine, not a VW

Roland, I believe the recommended replacement is around 25,000 miles if it has the regular fluid in it not the full synthetic. If equipped with full synthetic there is usually a decal near the fill tube or a tag hanging off of the dip stick. After you replace it with the full synthetic TES295 approved fluid the filters get changed at 75,000 miles and top it off, next service is at 300,000 for the fluid.

Just bought a GS road atlas yesterday. DW loved all of the information in it. It listed campgrounds, name, phone numbers and highlighted all of the STAA routes. Strong pages (not newspaper) and spiral bound. We also have last years FMCA atlas (DW loves maps).

Wow Bill!! we had a friend in a TT that will fill their black tank by blocking the foot pedal down on toilet. Trailers don't usually have a black tank flush, anyway Two years ago they did it and forgot while we were all camping together at Easter. Flooded their trailer . DW and I were looking out our window wondering what all of the commotion was , good times!! -
Update; now three chassis batteries are installed. Wow what a difference!! It cranks nice and fast to the point it fires faster. Interesting, I removed two Interstate Workaholic 31 group batteries, what I found odd was they had little weight to them. The replacement Deka product was noticeably heavier.

My outer wheel the stem points inward. I don't like it but when you spin them they look funny and often point towed the hub and are more difficult to access. By design this is so you can move the wheels in different positions without touching the stems. Im polishing them this week, I'll take a better photo then so you can see both.

Gray can also build scum if left open. Food particles, etc...etc. this is the reason the gray tanks can stink so bad. I keep both closed and drain gray when full or save until it's time to drain the black. -
I run the same oil in both engine and generator as Bill said. Also the same coolant.

It's surprising how many parts come from the Big Three. My headlight switch came from a 1968-1972 Corvette also got it from Napa. Head and tail lights from Ford. Monaco owned by AMC ? In my opinion Beaver always built a nice solid coach.

That is the outer wheel. It has a 4" solid extension screwed onto the inner wheel valve. The rubber plug supports it and the TPMS sensor.

When we purchased our first coach there was NOTHING anywhere in the dealership about FMCA. I honestly thought the goose egg was a standard thing on a motorhome. So I asked where mine was they had no idea what I was talking about. I walked them out to the service parking lot and showed them one on a (never forget it a black Safari DP). They still had no clue! Advertisement? Where? when a RV dealership has no idea. We happened to stumble upon the FMCA both at the Hershey RV show later that year and began a lengthy conversation with the people at the booth. We joined then an the rest is history.

Thanks Herman! My coach came from the factory equipped, I got lucky! I also have the block heater 120V receptacle in the engine bay, I use it for my drop light while working back there , serves many purposes I guess.

Thanks, the more I thought about it....I bought three 31 group batteries, I will make up the cables needed to add a battery this weekend, the extra couldn't hurt. They are 1000 CCA each, I figured I would change them as a PM measure, the chassis batteries look good but are not dated and I have no idea how old they actually are. Blake,

The camera is a great tool but so are loud horns when you see it about to unfold. I have these mounted up under the front of the coach between the step well and fog lights pointed forward, they are so loud the two Hadley air horns on the roof are non existent when I hit the other switch with these. I have little patience///!!! CORRECTION... I have NO patience for idiots.

Here is a discussion from a few years back, dash cam information is in the discussion also. I bought mine from this company (link below), it since has been replaced, but none the less it works great, we use it all the time for stuff like this and scenery. Here's one for the Q&A while on the subject of chassis batteries. Coach came with 1, 8D for the chassis, someone over the years switched it to 2, 31 group batteries 980 CCA each. Considering replacing these and taking it one step father to 3, 31 group 1000 CCA batteries. I have plenty of room as the tray was designed to house 2, 8D's Thoughts?

Yea, I tried that approach and I got the look....you know that look . I take Navy showers all the time in the coach, force of habit. Five, as far as the electric toilet goes, when I find a suitable foot pedal version that will fit in its place that thing is history!

Ok, that's a new one for me, the Dynasty used Alcoa wheels not the typical Monaco wheel made by Accuride. Learn something new everyday....
