  1. It might be solarbill.com. I have 800 watts with an MPPT charge controller and 6 Centennial AGMs. Bright sun charges up to 40 amps with low batteries, cloudy 0-5 amps.
  2. 50 amp is ok but the 4000 watt gen might be marginal. Depends on how efficient the two ACs are.
  3. The reason you need an inverter for your rv refrigerator is if you want to run it on 110 volt while driving and not on propane you can.
  4. I'm wondering if you have enough roof area for solar panels to be effective enough.
  5. I have unlimited data on Verizon with a MiFi and cell phone for a total of $108 including taxes. I have used between 15 and 35 gigs per month since I got the plan in Feb.
  6. Michelin makes the XRV series which is on more motorhomes probably than all the other mfgs combined.
  7. My number is 31XXX, joined in 1978. I have also seen a lot come and go.
  8. Update. Since I got my new to me coach recently and let my above pads go with my old motorhome, I made another set of pads. I used 1 1/8 inch sub flooring plywood. I have 12 inch squares screwed and glued double thickness. Routed the edges 1/4 inch quarter round and drilled 1/2 hole near a corner for using the awning hook to position them. The thing I like about jacks over air leveling is that the coach doesn't rock as much and you can change tires with them.
  9. Getting a res in Trailer Village is a good idea. I would still go the route I suggested because of the steep grade up Tahachapi and then Indio. Both are long and somewhat longer distance.
  10. Blue Ox and Roadmaster are both good products. I prefer Roadmaster because all of their parts are manufactured and assembled in house, not manufactured off shore and assembled in the U. S. if that makes a difference to you. Also they service their tow bars at the conventions as a courtesy, not like the others that charge for that service.
  11. The interstates are in need of repair all over. I 5 is no different. If there isn't a need to go to LA I would bypass if entirely possible. We usually go from Portland south and go across the mountains to Bend Or and down 97, through northern Ca to Fallon Nv, down to Las Vegas then over to the Grand Canyon. The roads, although not major, are in fairly good condition. Also much less traffic.
  12. I would install a clear section on the dump hose so you can see when it is flushed clean. I am at a campground in Mi right now and had to change my dump valve which was 15 years old. It took me 6 flushings of 1/2 full of fresh water to get the water in the dump hose perfectly clear before I disassembled the valve.
  13. We need to get a response to the questions posted from the OP before we are able to add anything.
  14. Does the new unit have the full warranty or just full fill the original warranty?
  15. Continental does not make tires in the size that I use. Michelin 235/80x22.5 or Toyo 245/75x22.5.
  16. When you say it isn't good enough what isn't good enough? The looks or livability? Looks can be changed. My new to me 98 Discovery was very plain jane so immediately I had a full body paint job. It changes everything including my perspective of the coach. I have done a lot of other mods and updates so now it has some mods even the most expensive new coaches don't have.
  17. I would guess that if you have a 30 amp coach and you use a 50 to 30 adapter, you would get a true 30 amp versus a 30 amp outlet that has had lots of use and pops the breaker at 25 amps.
  18. Thanks for letting us know the outcome.
  19. TBUTLER where are you planning to be, we have reservations at Thousand Trails, Fair Play, South Carolina.
  20. Been doing the same for numerous toads for over 40 years without incident.
  21. What vehicle is your toad?
