My last ones lasted for over 15 years so that is not a problem for me.

I just replaced my nut covers because the old ones were starting to get rusty. $27 for 60 and free freight! Don't know why anyone would bend over to take them.

I was once told by a trucker if you see a car headed toward you head-on just raise your feet and let them go under.

The problem with the temp gauge is that the sender that is in the coolant is measuring the temp of the liquid. If you have a sudden loss of coolant there is quite a long delay until the gauge or light reacts. The heat has to transfer from the surrounding metal to the sender.

Look for a clean out on the sewer line. I found mine along side of my driveway going to the street. Put a y connector and plumbed a fitting next to my driveway. I have full hookups in my driveway so all I have to do is dump my tanks on the way to parking it in the garage.

I hope you used poly bushings.

What you buy is determined by your pocket book, your skill level and desire, and life style of how you want to RV. If you want to do repairs and upgrades (like I do) you can get away with an older unit. If your limited in skills but have enough money you can pay to have it done. At the other end of the scale you can just go a buy what you want. I recently bought a 98 Discovery with just under 100k miles, in very good condition. Paid about 1/2 of low book. Left me some funds to do what I wanted to do.

You should always use dry filtered air. I use my coach air or if I used my portable air compressor I have an inline air drier.

I just installed Toyos at about half the cost. 245/75R22.5 is the same size as 235/80R22.5.

I just installed new four new tires on the rear and replaced my Centramatics with balancing beads a manufacturer sent me to test. I drove from Az to Indy and the balance is very good, up to 75 mph. The one thing the beads do is balance everything, tire, drum, and hub.

I know Chandler is not in Tiffin's back yard. The question was area rallies.
-
Usually not unless its in their back yard.

I have traveled with propane on in all of my motorhomes for the last 42 years and over 300,000 miles.

It might be solarbill.com. I have 800 watts with an MPPT charge controller and 6 Centennial AGMs. Bright sun charges up to 40 amps with low batteries, cloudy 0-5 amps.
-
50 amp is ok but the 4000 watt gen might be marginal. Depends on how efficient the two ACs are.
-
The reason you need an inverter for your rv refrigerator is if you want to run it on 110 volt while driving and not on propane you can.

I'm wondering if you have enough roof area for solar panels to be effective enough.

I have unlimited data on Verizon with a MiFi and cell phone for a total of $108 including taxes. I have used between 15 and 35 gigs per month since I got the plan in Feb.

Michelin makes the XRV series which is on more motorhomes probably than all the other mfgs combined.

Update. Since I got my new to me coach recently and let my above pads go with my old motorhome, I made another set of pads. I used 1 1/8 inch sub flooring plywood. I have 12 inch squares screwed and glued double thickness. Routed the edges 1/4 inch quarter round and drilled 1/2 hole near a corner for using the awning hook to position them. The thing I like about jacks over air leveling is that the coach doesn't rock as much and you can change tires with them.

Getting a res in Trailer Village is a good idea. I would still go the route I suggested because of the steep grade up Tahachapi and then Indio. Both are long and somewhat longer distance.

Locating Good Installer For Flat Tows In Houston
desertdeals69 replied to gnmiller's topic in Toads-Towed Behind Motorhome
Blue Ox and Roadmaster are both good products. I prefer Roadmaster because all of their parts are manufactured and assembled in house, not manufactured off shore and assembled in the U. S. if that makes a difference to you. Also they service their tow bars at the conventions as a courtesy, not like the others that charge for that service.
