I saw a fireplace at Costco the looked like about the size of a 40 in flat screen and about 6 inches thick. It didn't look like it would be that difficult to install.
-
Coach manufacturers don't design and make a lot of the parts they install because of costs. Auto manufacturers don't make a lot of the parts they install for the same reason. Chassis, engines, transmissions, AC, furnaces, refrigerator, TV's, sound systems, toilets, lights, door handles and locks, etc. If they had to do all the design and manufacturing the coach would cost at least ten times more.

After some research, the flow through transmitters that are now available do have replaceable batteries however they are plastic and about twice as long. Very difficult to add air on the outer dual. Next to impossible to remove just the cap so the transmitter has to be removed to add air. They are not suitable for use on the toad because they stick out too far.

Good Sam Roadside Assistance versus Coach Net
desertdeals69 replied to tiffinphaeton's topic in Roadside Assistance
In listening to what everybody seems to be saying there is a lot of problems with any of the roadside services available. I have never had any of them. I do carry some spare parts and at least one spare tire and wheel and on long trip I usually carry an extra tire. My insurance company includes towing to the nearest repair facility so I don't see the need for anything else. I have had to be towed once in over 400k miles and 38 years due to mechanical break down, injector pump. When getting towed I would not let it be hung on a hook with the driveshaft disconnected. Use only a rollback truck. I have a 32 ft diesel pusher and I had a tow dolly on it. It would have held a 42-45 footer with no problems. -
From what I recall the flow thru transmitters have to be replaced when the battery goes dead. They do not have a user replaceable battery.

Check with Tire Minder in Florida.

2004 F-53 19.5" x 6.75" 8 Lug Wheel Search

You don't need to go to I 40 to get to Kingman from Vegas, just go across the new bridge in front of the Hoover dam and down into Kingman and then on to I 40. -
We have repaired several damaged ladders in our shop. If the damage is the tubing likely it is 7/8 inch anodized aluminum marine tubing. Cut out the damaged section and replace it with a new section using 3/4 tubing as a splice stiffener. Secure with stainless sheet metal screws. If it is in a curved area use a conduit bender to make the bends.

I would start tracing the wiring from the headlights back toward the switch. If there is a relay, you will run into it before the switch. Check the switch for power output, pull out one notch and one terminal is hot, pull out another notch and two terminal are hot. If you have current on the terminal that is hot in the second switch position, follow that wire to the headlights or relay. Its possible if it has a relay it may be bad or have a blown fuse. You should have current to the park/running lights in both outer switch positions.

Mine has happened in the spring and summer, no salt on the roads where I go.

Its the outer rear that has the inward facing stem. The inner rear is extended straight out. There is a tool that aids the r and r of the outer dual transmitter.

The reason we chose Eagles Nest was the location and the low price. $85 a week, full hookups.

Coach Pulls To The Right When Towing 4 Down

How is the towbar? The pivot point on the drawbar must be in the center of the vehicle. -
Inverter Circuit Retrofit For Residential Refrigerator
desertdeals69 replied to GaryMBlythe's topic in Electrical
A couple more thoughts. I would make sure the inverter is a pure sine wave. Although some are reporting that they will run on modified sine wave, at some point they may fail. I think you should have 6 high amp golf cart batteries or plan to run gen every day. Solar would be a good fit as a power source. -
I had it happen while sitting in a campground and it was not raining before I got there but had rained while sitting for a couple of months.
-
I beleive it is in the linkage, the water has somehow prevented the retraction of the cam. I have had the same thing happen to me and I had to put it into gear and rock it until it released. I was always going to dry lube the exposed parts and lube the shaft with the correct grease but I never got around to it.

Inverter Circuit Retrofit For Residential Refrigerator
desertdeals69 replied to GaryMBlythe's topic in Electrical
The outlet for the fridge is moved to down stream from the inverter through an appropriate breaker. -
We have installed Remco disconnects in our shop and I found that not everybody was happy with the way it functions. Some slack in the driveline and sometimes hard to disengage or engage. Problems with the cable and linkage. The expense of a modified or replacement driveline and all the other costs make it rather expensive as our customers have related to us. It got to the point that we would only install one if the customer really wanted one. Trans pumps, like anything, when there working they are ok but they also have issues.

We used Eagles Nest 2 months at a time for 5 years while working at Dollywood.

Coach Pulls To The Right When Towing 4 Down

Hows the alignment on the Jeep. The steering column unlocked? -
I have towed using trailer, dolly, and 4 wheels down for over 400,000 miles and 38 years. What method you use is usually dictated by the vehicle you want to tow. If you want to buy a new vehicle, don't pick it because the brochure or owners manual says its 4 wheel flat towable. Some times they change their mind after you have bought it. I am currently towing a Silverado 1500 5 speed 4 wheels down or a Prius on a dolly. Works for me.

I notice that my ISB seems to have less power at elevation even at 28 lbs of boost.
-
It has to do with the air pressure. Less air at higher elevations.

Power In-dash XM Radio & Speakers With Shore Power
desertdeals69 replied to georgeal's topic in Electrical
The speakers should be wired to the xm radio either directly or through switching. -
Today it is $2.39 at Fastrip and Quicktrip for reg and $3.40 at Sam's club for diesel. Its $4.59 at Sam's club for diesel in Pearl City, Hawaii where I am right now but of course I don't have my motorhome with me because they had some complications in construction of the freeway bridge!!
