  1. A parts house that deals in truck parts would be able to help you. I found a parts store in Phoenix that found me the hubs and drums I needed for my spartan chassis/rockwell axle.
  2. Does it have a fan clutch? On mine and several others that I have looked at the fan is direct bolted to the shaft with no clutch at all.
  3. I use the signal meter to maximize the signal on the winegard.
  4. If I remember correctly there is a bolt that goes through the slide on each side that secures it. Sometimes there is a fixed net the bolt screws into and sometimes its a loose nut.
  5. What is the ambient temp? It maybe overheating because of blockage in the cooling system.
  6. My Prius gets 50 plus mpg and it seats 5. I have got as much a 56 mpg from Phoenix to Lk Havasu.
  7. The last time I was at the Grand Canyon I stayed in the campground in the park. No hookups but the convenience of not having to commute 60-80 miles to view the canyon is good. There is a lot to do in the area we usually stay a week or more.
  8. A trucker friend told me that brakes are required in Canada for all axles on the ground of a towed vehicle. He has been refused entry at the border trying to deliver a new trailer. If you consider a Prius enough of an electric I tow mine on a dolly.
  9. Usually it uses the coach battery. Does it not crank or does it crank and not start? Is the house batteries up?
  10. Most if not all dollys have surge brakes. When I tow my Prius I have to use a dolly. I don't like surge brakes because if you are in the mountains they could be always on. I changed the surge actuator to a air over hydraulic master cylinder and it is actuated by the air brakes from the coach.
  11. You can insulate the underside with the appropriate material. Also sheet metal shields on the exhaust manifold and be fabricated. I have done several Class C's for customers in the past.
  12. Was on 101 in Washington yesterday and it was fine. Two lane and hilly and curves but nice country.
  13. As far a using the boost switch for starting goes on mine that is automatically done when the key is turned on. The solenoid that connects the two banks of batteries to charge while the engine is running is always on when the key is on. The switch in the dash is used only if the engine batteries are too low to start the engine and to low to energize the solenoid. This is the way the factory made it. As far as batteries used in new cars, its a matter of cost and not always the best. I would not select a battery just because a car mfg uses them. A lot of batteries are made in Mexico.
  14. I would use 2 group 31batteries for the engine and 4 or 6 golf cart batteries for the house.
  15. You have to weigh each corner and inflate according to the chart in the Michelin manual which will be less than the maximum on the side of the tire.
  16. Depending on the weight of your coach chances are that the pressure will be less than the 120 psi.
  17. Have the alternator tested for output to see if it is working and how many amps it puts out. On my 98 ISB it had a 160 Delco alternator which I burned up twice using 6 golf cart batteries so I went to the next size larger frame and had it built to 235 amp and its been working fine for 12 years.
  18. Xantrex has had gen auto start for at least 20 years. There are other mfg that have them too.
  19. The lowest setting on my thermostat is 120 degrees and I have mine set at 125 so that the ratio of hot to cold is less and I can take a longer shower.
  20. Check your thermostat on the tank if you are comfortable with 120v current. It may be opening the circuit before the water temp is up.
  21. The harness for the Road Relay has a male/female connector so the Scan Gauge plugs into the end.
  22. I'm using the Scan Gauge and the Cummins Road Relay 5.
  23. Try mlemonis@campingworld.com Marcus is the CEO.
  24. My driveway is flat so I don't have a problem at home but I do have casters mounted to the bottom of the receiver hitch that protects the low parts when I enter some driveways, such as fuel stations.
