  1. Mine has happened in the spring and summer, no salt on the roads where I go.
  2. Its the outer rear that has the inward facing stem. The inner rear is extended straight out. There is a tool that aids the r and r of the outer dual transmitter.
  3. The reason we chose Eagles Nest was the location and the low price. $85 a week, full hookups.
  4. How is the towbar? The pivot point on the drawbar must be in the center of the vehicle.
  5. A couple more thoughts. I would make sure the inverter is a pure sine wave. Although some are reporting that they will run on modified sine wave, at some point they may fail. I think you should have 6 high amp golf cart batteries or plan to run gen every day. Solar would be a good fit as a power source.
  6. I had it happen while sitting in a campground and it was not raining before I got there but had rained while sitting for a couple of months.
  7. I beleive it is in the linkage, the water has somehow prevented the retraction of the cam. I have had the same thing happen to me and I had to put it into gear and rock it until it released. I was always going to dry lube the exposed parts and lube the shaft with the correct grease but I never got around to it.
  8. The outlet for the fridge is moved to down stream from the inverter through an appropriate breaker.
  9. We have installed Remco disconnects in our shop and I found that not everybody was happy with the way it functions. Some slack in the driveline and sometimes hard to disengage or engage. Problems with the cable and linkage. The expense of a modified or replacement driveline and all the other costs make it rather expensive as our customers have related to us. It got to the point that we would only install one if the customer really wanted one. Trans pumps, like anything, when there working they are ok but they also have issues.
  10. We used Eagles Nest 2 months at a time for 5 years while working at Dollywood.
  11. Hows the alignment on the Jeep. The steering column unlocked?
  12. I have towed using trailer, dolly, and 4 wheels down for over 400,000 miles and 38 years. What method you use is usually dictated by the vehicle you want to tow. If you want to buy a new vehicle, don't pick it because the brochure or owners manual says its 4 wheel flat towable. Some times they change their mind after you have bought it. I am currently towing a Silverado 1500 5 speed 4 wheels down or a Prius on a dolly. Works for me.
  13. I notice that my ISB seems to have less power at elevation even at 28 lbs of boost.
  14. It has to do with the air pressure. Less air at higher elevations.
  15. The speakers should be wired to the xm radio either directly or through switching.
  16. Today it is $2.39 at Fastrip and Quicktrip for reg and $3.40 at Sam's club for diesel. Its $4.59 at Sam's club for diesel in Pearl City, Hawaii where I am right now but of course I don't have my motorhome with me because they had some complications in construction of the freeway bridge!!
  17. Why don't you go at a time when its not so busy?
  18. Good thing I don't have my motorhome with me in Hawaii. The cheapest diesel is at Sam's Club, $4.59!
  19. The increase in mpg is probably mostly due to the slower speed. Economy setting on the control makes the trans shift to a higher gear sooner and stay there longer. I always drive in the economy mode and at about 56-60 mph. I get between 10-11 mpg driving coast to coast.
  20. We stayed in La Conner in June and drove the toad to Anacortes, about 22 miles. We walked on the ferry and paid a one time fee of about $5 and visited several islands, spending the entire day. Looked around and it seemed like there weren't many roads that are RV friendly. Looked steep and narrow, especially Orcas.
  21. It's possible the batteries were never charged fully. As Brett said you need to charge for at least 24 hours. If you leave the batteries low or dead, the life of the batteries is greatly shortened. If it is freezing out the water could freeze and break the case. You might want to take the batteries out and store them in a warmer place, and you could charge and test them also.
  22. There is something that doesn't make sense to me. You say it is indicated that the batteries are on float charge with no shore cord connection. How can that be? Float charge voltage is about 13.5 to 13.8 volts with the charger on. Are the batteries 6 volt golf cart? How many, 4 or 6? If they are 12 volt, are they deep cycle? What kind of charging do you have, inverter/charger or converter?
  23. What brand and size are your new batteries? What are your means for charging, converter, inverter/charger?
  24. I prefer to put mine in my garage. The people I have talked to that have tried the covers seem to think that they are a hassle. Thats a lot of material to handle and it is usually a several person job on ladders. There can be issues with rubbing your finish when the wind blows and also moisture concerns.
  25. Check to see if it is the switch. If it is florescent light and its old, when you have switched the light on and it doesn't go on, lightly hit the tube, if it goes on the problem is with the mercury in the tube. Take the tube out and turn it around and it should work for a while, or you can replace the tube with a new one.
