  1. Check the current draw of the units on startup.
  2. Ken Tool is one of the mfg of the tool. I think it sells for about $7. I use a 5 inch solid metal extension on the inner dual and the cap or the tpms transmitter goes on the end.
  3. If you are sure its a relay just replace the relay. I have done this a number of times with relays and other components.
  4. If it is a dire emergency it is possible to take one of the rear outer duals and use it on the front.
  5. I usually run the metal rod (coat hanger) through and pull a string back then use the string to pull a single wire from the light that is OK. Make sure you select the right polarity wire and splice to it.
  6. Shipshewanna has a flea market on Tuesday and Wednesday, was there last week.
  7. I think there is 2 issues. Check the knock sensor and related wiring and engine computer.
  8. I think the dust is stirred up from the tires not the fan. Follow a car and you will see the dust cloud also.
  9. I have used the NAPA relay and had it fail. They come with a lifetime warranty so it was replaced. I found another relay which will work on ebay. Look up an electric golf cart relay. Its continuous duty and they sell for about $10. The relay from NAPA is about $45. I carry a golf cart relay so I can use it when the NAPA one fails, until I can find a NAPA store.
  10. The tow bar should be parallel to the ground. Years ago I had a Toyota wagon that flopped all over the road when towing so I hooked a couple of bungee cords to the steering wheel and then it tracked fine.
  11. I've used it for several different apps. Holds up well. It is sometimes referred to as liquid electrical tape. You also might look at marine silicone which is approved for underwater application.
  12. Have you tested your battery? It may be dying on its own. I have seen rather new batteries fail.
  13. Liquid neoprene insulation. Can be bought in an auto parts store.
  14. I have never used aux lights. Have always used the stock lights with blocking diodes. Be doing that in our rv shop for 40 years and on my own toads for all those years and 400k miles.
  15. The surge brakes may give you a problem if you are on mountain hills. The problem is when going down steep hills the brakes are always on and they overheat and destroy themselves. My solution was to remove the surge coupler and install a fixed coupler and install a air over hydraulic master cylinder. Now the air brakes, through the proportional valve, applies the appropriate amount of braking for the dolly. I have been using this system for several years. I don't know if you have air brakes on your m/h, if you don't electric brakes would be the answer.
  16. They are usually 3 or 4 inch id and cost between $150-$200. Some are straight and some are curved.
  17. Check the harness plug at the gen. I have found corrosion in the pins.
  18. Although more expensive I would recommend AGM golf cart batteries. There are some advantages in doing so. No corrosion or fumes, battery cables stay looking new, they run longer on a charge and recharge faster. We are currently camping in a state park on Mo without hookups and our solar is keeping the batteries up. We have 600 watts of solar and 6 AGMs. This morning in overcast and rain it was still charging at 6 amps.
  19. I always leave the inverter on because if there is a glitch in the switchover the satellite receivers don't have to reboot.
  20. I use 2 camp sleeping pads from Walmart. Cut holes for the bar attachment and hold in place with 6 ft bungee cords. Been over 200,000 miles without a nick including Alaska.
  21. Power to the backup lights will light up the area without adding extra lights.
  22. I would not flat tow a Ford Fusion because of all the failed transmissions. A manual shift transmission seems to be the way to go. I have a 5 speed that I have towed for about 100,000 miles.
  23. Both will work fine. When we were an Onan dealer we always used SAE 30.
