  1. Cummins Road Relay 4 or 5 will display gear as well as about 9 other items.
  2. The inverter you have is a modified sine wave. It could present problems with not only the refrigerator but some of the new electronics such as tvs. Size wise thats ok but I would have six batteries for more capacity. What would be Ideal is a 2500-3000 watt true sine wave inverter with six matched golf cart batteries.
  3. Good point. I guess that's why they give a guaranty with a new part!
  4. It may have a leak when its hot. Test it at normal running temps.
  5. If you list what ATS and Inverter you have by model I can tell you what you need to make the installation. We do this type of thing on a routine basis in our shop.
  6. I used the masonite that looks like tile, from Lowes, and used adhesive from the caulking gun to stick it to the pre-finished wall behind the stove and sink.
  7. Thanks Tim and the same to you and your family. Have a safe trip. We are in Hawaii, without the motorhome!, for thanksgiving with two of our kids and four grandkids. Seasons greetings to all.
  8. If you have good enough credit I would not think its a problem to get financing. I have know individuals that could get a loan with just their signature.
  9. I believe the you leave the trans in park, the ring gear is not turning. The spider gears may prematurely wear because as the left axle makes 1 revolution the right axle coming out of the differential is turning the opposite direction.
  10. My tire pressure sensors also give the temperature of the tire. I use the Tire Minder system.
  11. My concern would be if the solenoid is drawing current to be switched on, there is always a current draw against the batteries when the house batteries are on.
  12. Residency is established when your drivers license is issued and your registered to vote. At least that is the way it is in Oregon. They used to not care if you listed Oregon as home and payed no sales tax and $10 vehicle registration, but other states put the pressure on so they no longer allow it.
  13. Is it an Intellec switching system? If it is, there is only control current when switching on or off. If its getting hot it is possible that there is some resistance in the contactor generating heat.
  14. It depends on the jacks and how there installed. Done correctly there is little chance for malfunction.
  15. The rear wheels are so close to the rear of the car that I don't think anything would drag no matter how high the front was.
  16. RVA jacks are probably the strongest jacks ln the business. I have had all six wheels off the ground changing tires without a problem.. I have parked with my rear wheels off the ground. If I should have a jack fail the worst that could happen is the coach come down on the wheels which the park brake is keeping from turning so the coach is not going to roll down hill. If I am working under the coach I always use jack stands.
  17. I would recommend golf cart batteries because they are a little taller and have more clearance between the bottom of the plates and the case. They seem to perform better over the long haul. I would stick with the 3 stage charger in the inverter. The charger you have would be marginal in output as most with 60 amp output do so only when batteries are low and taper off quite a bit as the batteries come up. It would take a long time to bring the batteries to full charge.
  18. Of the 3 brands you listed Wagen is probably the best one. I presume you are speaking of one that plugs into a cigarette lighter socket. At the other end of the scale is Xantrex sine wave with 3 stage battery charging.
  19. We have a Thousand Trails elite membership and are enjoying the great campgrounds in the system. This includes Mid Atlantic and Outdoor World. Have stayed 91 nights since May. We have never had trouble getting a reservation and were able to stay where we wanted. As far as costs, the last 2 years staying in the campgrounds that we have, we have paid for the membership cost and the annual fee. From here on since our investment is paid for, our annual cost is $585 for as many nights as we care to do.
  20. Lithium Ion batteries are rechargable.
  21. There are a number of things you can do. I have installed an Aero stainless steel muffler which is straight through with a venturi effect which is supposed to have less back pressure and I increased the air inlet from the roofline to the air cleaner to 6 inches in diameter and K&N air filter. The changes probably have helped mileage some as when I fueled up in Las Vegas the other day, I had gone 871 miles and got 10.93 mpg. I have a 32 foot with an ISB 275 towing a 1/2 ton Silverado with full tanks, 225 gallons of diesel.
  22. You've probably never been across the red dirt roads of North Dakota!
  23. If they are standard AA batteries you can replace them easily. There are different types. Ni Cad, Nickel metal hydride, Lith Ion. Just match up with what you have.
