  1. Look no farther than the main stream media. Even our local media, they rant and rave, give partial and half truths all aiming at a political objective which will go unmentioned here.
  2. As noted, dump the black tank when full. The key to the sewer system is lots and lots of water. That's all you need, the chemicals serve to make money for their manufacturers, but are not needed if the sewer system if installed correctly and used correctly.
  3. Carl, that's what the tech said that was changing the coolant. Also, Freightliner told me the coolant system took 32 gallons....yes gallons. Actual capacity was about 15 gallons.
  4. In the CG we turn the electric on and leave it. As long as it's not too cold it will provide hot water and furnace heat. If cold, turn on the diesel burner, it will cycle on and off just like home. Just remember if you have a 400 series, and the diesel is running and providing coach heat, if you turn on the hot water, the furnace shuts off until the demand for hot water stops. If you have a 600 AH, it keeps running no matter what you turn on. According to the manual, the AH uses .4 GPH.
  5. One more comment on a coolant filter. I called Freightliner prior to having my coolant changed. They said no coolant filter, they don't use them. Much to my surprise, when we were draining the coolant, we found a coolant filter that was virtually totally plugged with crud, sludge and similar 'stuff.' So what happened was that DD put the filter on at the factory and Freightliner did not know it.
  6. You'll think it's chump change if you have a blowout or break down on the road.
  7. ....or get a DP with 10,000 tow capacity...or better yet, a 15,000 tow capacity.
  8. Is that what your new Newmar does? On my Eagle the inverter on or off has nothing to do with battery charging. Once the house batteries get to 13.3, the charge will go through to the chassis batteries.

    tires.....

Ditto, I have Toyos on the six rear and Continentals on the front.
  10. Yes, Loves is very convenient and also off the scale expensive. Any auto parts store will have what you need at a much lower cost.
  11. If you don't adhere to the contract exactly as written, you're SOL. That's why they pay the lawyers big bucks.
  12. A 2011 coach could have tires manufactured in 2010, if so, those tires are coming up on 10 years old. The only place I'd drive that coach is to a shop to get all new tires. The other tire information is irrelevant...low mileage, covered, no cracks, what they sit on, new ones are expensive, etc. The OP is living on borrowed time with those tires, they are too old to be safe. All MHO, of course.
  13. Last summer, I put Continental 315s on the front with the FMCA program, and Toyo 295s on the rear without the FMCA program. The retail price for the Toyos was cheaper than the Michelins with the FMCA program....plus I got a discount for them.
  14. This is a good idea, but have no idea how to post a picture...would somebody be kind enough to post some instructions.
  15. I talked recently with the folks at TSD who issue the ESF card. They said Pilot and Flying J are in the program now. As an aside, there are some fuel services that will accept the card but are not in the program....thus no discount.

    Steering wheel shaking

I've had vibrating (not "shaking") problems on two occasions with DPs. Both times is was corrected by simply balancing the front wheels.
  17. There is a thread on another forum about the new V8, same old complaint, terrible gas mileage.
  18. Find a place on the interstate, away from cities, and let her drive from one rest area to the next that is not very far. Not too much traffic, no cities, just straight and level, as we would say in the flying business....piece of cake, it would build her confidence..
  19. Could be, all I can tell you is that I paid $222 last month for three years. Maybe that's why the lady to whom I was talking said I made a "good decision."
  20. Same here. In fact I still keep a 3 x 5 card up front with the directions for the wipers.
  21. All ACs are "inverted." They not only look cool but have three lenses, see my post at 10:01 AM yesterday.
  22. Same on my Eagle...don't get to flash the running lights very often!😃
