    Empty Weight

I don't know if they were doing this when your coach was built, but now there are two stickers on the side of the coach behind or next to the driver's seat. They will have a great deal of information, to include the weight from the factory and when it was weighed. That info is on the Federal Certification Tag, put on by the manufacturer.
  2. You should keep one for sure. We had a RF blow out last month. The first question Good Sam asked (after the "are you in a safe place" question), was "do you have a spare or do we need to send you a tire?" They sent one...$800 and a rim...$350. Didn't need the rim so we got a credit for that.
  3. What is the temp...is it cold enough?

    Tag Axle

Correct, the Allegiance is a Spartan...we're moving to a Freightliner with a tag.

    Detroit Diesel

I'm looking for a forum that has a topic on Detroit Diesels. American Coach has started putting some DD13s in their coaches. Any suggestions appreciated.
  6. I've aways covered my tires with individual covers if staying in one place three days or more. Recently I guy suggested that the individual covers are not good because they hold the heat in and condensation forms on the inside of the cover. He said he had covers made that snap on to the side of the coach and hang down over the tires and lets them breathe. Any thoughts on this idea?

    Tag Axle

When you have dumped the tag...when does it start airing back up?
  8. Nothing is what you need. If you need a deodorizer, or smell either the deodorizer or the contents of the tank, something is amiss with your plumbing.

    Tag Axle

Agree, but only if the same size. We are in the process of getting a new to us coach and the front tires are slightly larger than the other six.
  10. I've found iRV2 to be more pleasant than RV.Net.
  11. I just read on the AH forum that the nozzle should be changed when ever it starts to smoke or smells "stinky."
  12. As long as it's a 2014 or older CRV...can't tow the new ones.

Any suggestions for CGs on the water appreciated.
  14. Good suggestion...it's the first week or so in Oct.
  15. I have a full width rear rock guard on the back of the MH. To date, no dings on the tow vehicle.
  16. Yes, and at any other seminar or rally. We have Spartan reps at our coach rallies.
  17. 8.4 MPG, Cummins 8.9L ISL, 400 HP, 41', 34,000 lbs, cruise at 60 MPH (MPG goes down sharply above 60), tow a CRV 3,700 lbs. Coming up on 30,000 miles and MPG has improved. I keep a log of three versions of MPG at each fill up: MPG off the computer, straight MPG calculated from miles traveled and gallons used, and last and most accurate, MPG calculated factoring in amount of fuel used in the generator, Aqua Hot and when at an idle.
  18. Here's is one SE of ATL on I 85, Exit #56: S. Oaks Mobile Home and RV Park.
  19. Very few gassers on an F350 Class C chassis will have a 10k tow rating...normally 5k. Your towing capacity is normally the lowest of: - GCWR minus weight of MH when ready to travel (loaded). - Hitch capacity. - MH tow capacity. - Chassis tow capacity...some times the last two are different.
  20. I think you will find that a tag has nothing to do with tow capacity. My single axle AC has a tow capacity of 15k...as do all the ACs with tags.
  21. All CRVs are automatic. The front hook up (called a base plate) needs to be attached to the car by an RV dealer who is authorized to service what ever tow system you get. I have Blue Ox. Once all the hardware is attached the hooking/unhooking of the CRV to the MH is very easy. It is a great all around vehicle and a perfect toad...light, reliable, versatile, seats five, economical...typical Honda.
  22. This information is not correct. The Eagle is the next to the top of the AC line, starting at around $625k. AC's line up is Revolution, Allegiance, Tradition, Eagle and Heritage.

  24. Thanks for the info. He is researching the link in post #2. Here's the W/D info: Splendide 2000 Model: WD 802 Serial #: 270163
