  1. We are on RV number five and have finally gotten a tank level indicator system that works. It is the Sensa Tank Level Monitoring System and has worked flawlessly for four years. http://www.levelguardproducts.com/marine-rv/rv-multi-tank-monitor.php
  2. Call the Winnebago tech line, they should be able to help.
  3. We have an Aqua Hot system. If you have one of those all you have to do is have the electric switch on and the basement heat is automatically activated when the temp goes below 40. I assume it will do the same thing if the ''burner'' is turned on.
  4. A terrible decision on Honda's part. My dealer, although a small one, says he gets at least 25 sales a year just from people to use it as a toad. I wanted a '15, had to settle for a '14.
  5. Thanks guys. I'll check it out and let you know what happens...or doesn't happen.
  6. Of my six 295/80R22.5 GY 670s, with 25k on them, five are totally even in wear. However, the right front appears to be totally even in wear, except the outside band (about an inch) is showing much more wear than the rest of this tire or the other tires. The wear seems to be all the way around the tire. All tires are well under their gross weight rating and are properly inflated. Any suggestions as to the cause and/or a fix would be appreciated.
  7. Mine is on the ladder, secured with two plastic loops (one on each side), 1" in diameter with holes at each end that are secured on each side of the tag.
  8. It's difficult to provide any assistance without knowing what year, make, model, etc RV you have.
  9. On my coach, there is a gap between the top of the slides and the A/C outlets in the ceiling. Sometimes I run a fan along the top of the slides to blow that cold air around.
  10. The only issue I've heard regarding the 6.7 is that some manufacturers put it in coaches that need more engine...it's too small for heavy coaches.
  11. I'm not familiar with the Bully Dog, but I'd be skeptical of the big improvements noted. Also, if you have an Allison 3000 trans, 15% more HP would exceed the max for that trans.
  12. Look in the outside water compartment where the fresh water hose is attached, sewer hooks up, etc. Below that bay are two hoses that drain the tank...the valves are just above them in the bay.
  13. Send PG an email, they are quick to respond.

    Smartwheel

Thanks Herman, that's good information, I have saved it. MY SW works okay with one little glitch...the accel/decel switches are wired backwards. As long as I remember that, I'm fine.

    Compartment Doors

Are you positive the latches were locked? I have one door that locks at the top, but not the bottom until I push on it...or hit it with my hand. It looks locked, but isn't.
  16. Test drive another MH over the same roads, then compare rides. The coach you are test driving might be the same as the all the others and you are just not used to what they do and sound like.
  17. I don't want to confuse the issue or insult your intelligence, but a converter changes AC to 12v and an inverter changes 12v to AC. You should have either a converter/inverter, a stand alone converter and stand alone inverter, or an inverter/charger. Newer models usually have the latter. Have you tried calling Newmar?
  18. When something 12v quits working, I always check the fuse first. I do that for two reasons...it's the easiest to check, and most of the time it's the problem.
  19. If you have multiples of the same item, store them in the basement.
  20. The big derrents to MPG are too fast and head winds.
  21. Regarding security...before this coach we had a 5th wheel with a portable SG. I plugged it in at the power stalk, put a chain with lock around the whole thing, then covered the stalk (and chain/lock) with an old tire cover. If questioned I said I wanted to keep all my power outlets dry.
  22. The DS would be my choice...but if possible, I'd rather have an AC Eagle.
  23. As I stated earlier, FW makes four models: Providence, Discovery, Expedition and Excursion. There is no such model as a FW 36J, it must be one of the four previously mentioned...if I had to guess, I'd say it's a Discovery...?
  24. They come in various widths and lengths. The largest is 52"x 90".
