If that is the OEM oil cap, you have answered your own question. If not, get the manual or call Ford.

Tank And Lines Heat During Winter Driving
five replied to HMillsJr's topic in Water and Holding Tanks
Your coach should have a heated basement...run the normal heat and the tanks/lines will be okay. -
As noted above, compare the cost of an oil change versus the cost of serious engine problem if the warranty is voided.
-
Thanks...next time I go down to the MH I'll get the information.

Protect All is the only product I have found that can be used on everything...paint, fiberglass, chrome, rubber, windows, plactic, etc.

My manual says not to lift any wheels off the ground. The rear being key since that's where the brakes are.

Thousand Trails Zone Pass - First Reservation - Update #2
five replied to Xplorer's topic in Campgrounds
I wish you well with your travels and Thousand Trails. We were members for three years and let the membership drop. It seems every place we went, all the good spots (shade, spacious, room between rigs, etc) were occupied by an annual renter. So while we drove around looking for a suitable space, most of the ones we would have liked to use were taken by an empty RV. -
Y'all need to move a bit farther south, we don't: - Have many obnoxious folks like you saw, who deal with the public. - Have very many toll roads. - Have high BP due to the above issues:)

Lots of good advice here. Where I park my MH in the winter has VERY reliable power. Therefore, I place small lamps with 60w bulbs in places that normally would require A/F...next to water pump, W/D, Aqua Hot, in back of refrig, etc. I always put the pink stuff in the toilet bowl and in the P traps. If there is any question of the power staying on, I run the pink stuff through the lines, not worth taking a chance on having a line freeze.

CRV...problem solved:)

The pink stuff is antifreeze, it does not smell bad. You can bing water systems and there are many suggestions of various concoctions to put into and run through your water system to restore the normal taste. Here is a link to a great book on how to get rid of boat odors...which are much worse than MH odors: http://www.amazon.com/Get-Rid-Boat-Odors-Aggravation/dp/1892399156

"Loose or intermittent"...who knows. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. Mine are activated by a left/right arrow as well as the turn signal. They always work with the L/R arrow, not so with the turn signa.

USAA does not insure high dollar MHs or high dollar boats. We had our 5th wheel with them but they referred us to Progressive for the MH. I stayed with Progressive for a year then changed. My reasons for changing can be found by googling or binging their chairman, Peter Lewis.

Mine is on the ladder, up against a the top of a step, therefore I can still slip my foot into the space where the plate is located...under it.

Something is loose. My two side cameras work...then don't work...then work again. Something is loose.

I'd chose the one where you get the best deal, they'll age out before they'll wear out...also, change all six. Try Toyos.

Very inaccurate. When in doubt, tap on the guage...that's what we do in the aviation community.

I would never use them.

40' Diesel Pusher vs Smaller 33' Diesel Pusher
five replied to DOWDYL350's topic in Type A motorhomes
Agree, however, if 99% of my useage would be parked...I'd have kept my 5th wheel:) -
The key words are "most likely." That would be a gamble I'm not willing to take.

I do not carry a spare. When I have these tires replaced, I'll save the best one and it will become my unmounted spare. On these buses, even if you have a flat and have a mounted spare, it will take some heavy duty tools and jacks (and muscle) to change the tire.

Heat Reduction - Window Awnings or Tinted Windows
five replied to greymountain's topic in Modifications
We have a set of two windows that do not have exterior space for the awning arms, so I had them tinted and got a Magna Shade for the outside when stopped. If you have them tinted, if you have double paned windows, BE SURE they use the tint for designed for dual paned windows...or they will crack. Standard auto tint will not work. -

I have heard the same thing, especially avoid asphalt. Where I park for storage has a concrete floor, I run the tires up on plywood and then put out the jacks to take some weight off of it.

On my A/C panel, I can select "A/C auto" which means the A/C and the fan cycle on or off, or I can select "A/C Fan" which means the compressor cycles on and off, but the fan keeps running.
