Rick, NICE................... Herman -
Joe, Had a friend that had a 1999 Beaver Patriot Thunder that had the windshield popping out problem. Carl, Was it you that told me about the fix on the Monaco products that had the windshield issue? Herman

Joe the front cap on the Windsor and the Dynasty are the same, however there may be a difference in the skeleton from one model to the next. Herman

Blake, I have heard of this issue before. I understand, sorry I can't remember where I heard it, that there is a brace that can be installed in the front cap just above the windshield. It stiffens up the farming of the front and eliminates the windshield/front cap issue. I will try and found out where I heard about the brace. Herman

Fresh Tank Fills When On City Water
hermanmullins replied to manholt's topic in Water and Holding Tanks
Carl, Is he capable of doing any of the work and if so do you trust him to do a good job? If not and you need them to vacate until the work is done, does that constitute breaking the lease. If so then Linda doesn't need to return her deposit. Then again we are talking about a small Hill Country Town where we all know things are done a bit different. Good luck to Linda and keep your rubber boots on. Herman -
Fresh Tank Fills When On City Water

Sorry to hear about the house. Was it empty? Had the water been running all that time? Let us know if there is anything we can do. Herman & Bobbie -
acadnaif, Welcome to the Forum. Best bet would be to put The Weather Channel app on your phone. that way you can check the weather on your way and in Indio with out any problems. Good Luck and enjoy Indio. Herman

Fresh Tank Fills When On City Water
hermanmullins replied to manholt's topic in Water and Holding Tanks
Carl, What you have is a bad check valve in your pump. They are notorious for failing. Especially when subjected to high pressures. You can put an end to the problem by installing a inline check valve. I had my pump check valve fail on several occasions until I installed an inline check valve. One of the main reason they recommend the pressure reducer on your hose is to protect the pump check valve . As for the pump cycling off and on is due to the check valve seeping back into the tank. If on shore water it can cause the tank to fill and overflow. If not on shore water and only on the pump the pump will cycle off and on since the pump can't hold the preset limit switch. If you have shutoff valve between the pump and the tank, you can close it when on shore power and prevent the tank from filling. I got my inline check valve at Lowe's along with a ball valve and all the needed hoses and clamps. Herman -
I have seen vehicles with the standard single shock per side that had the configuration changed to a two shock ride. However that was when a tall Lift Kit was installed. I think the person that gave the advice to add a second shock may have a good point for a heavy vehicle. Herman

Just noticed in the OP the entry steps are a Corean, Granite or some other Hard surface material. It looks as if there is some sort of non skid on them. Maybe he can show the entry steps to the Topic about remodeling your entry steps. Ernie made a comment about hard surfaces. Sorry to move away from the Topic. Herman -
Renting Out Your Motorhome- When You're Not Using It?

It appear that several folks here need to "Agree to Disagree". Lets all just agree or disagree and not get argumentative. Hope everyone is safe & sound and warm. Herman -
Any suggestions on an easy way to apply RainEX on a large windshield.? Herman

Joe, Most fridges have what they refer to as a drain pan. Most are not removable. They sit right under the compressor and are supposed to catch an moister in the pan and the heat from the compressor will evaporate the collected moisture. I think you hit the nail on the head with the seal. Most of our DWs would like for us to get an issue solved asap. However when my DW see the estimate and she knows I can fix it she forgets the dealer. It seems that now a days , dealers will bill you for just driving into their lots. I do know my limitations and that is where I leave it to the Professionals. Herman
-
Hoggem, Can you pin point it to the slide, latch or between the two glasses. You may try putting a small wedge between the two panes and see if it stops. (be careful to not put too much pressure on the wedge) Dose it stop when you crack the window just a bit? If it is still there then try all the way open. Also take a look around the Window frame on the out side and make sure there is caulk all the way around. You can also try tightening all the screws around the frame on the inside. Let us know what you find. Herman

I was told that my records were also lost in the fire in St. Louis. But a few months after I requested them they showed up. I have been told that all records are duplicated somewhere. Not sure if that is Fact or Fiction. Herman

Holligan, (couldn't resist) the gate was left open and everyone went as far south from SC as they could. I saw where is was very cold out on the East Coast. Hope you warm up soon. Herman -
When you stop and think about it, HD was hoping that folks with all types of power mowers would see it there and purchase it. One of their marketing people thinking ahead. Herman

Jim. we came south for our meeting. The reason was it is much warmer in Beaumont than anywhere else. I had thought we should go to Shawnee Oklahoma since that is where our next Rally will be and it could not be much colder then Beaumont. BOY! was I wrong. While it was 27 degrees in the morning here it was 7 degrees in Shawnee. I am glad I was over rule, even if it is cold, but not as cold there. Burrrrrrrrrrr! Herman

Dusty, Welcome to the Forum. One thing that may help everyone would to let us know what your temperature is inside the fridge. You may or may not have a issue. But what the heck look at all the great idea that have come out. Herman

Joe, If it is indeed a residential unit there may not bee enough room to get anything behind the unit since most are pushed way back against the exterior wall. If your suggestion was to try and warm up the compressor my suggestion would be to lay a hair dryer on the floor blowing in under the fridge. As you said be sure to have it supported as to not burn anything and not block the air intake. Also a small space heater with the blower pointed to the bottom of the unit may help. However as has been said before leaving the door opened for 5 to 10 minutes may warm the unit up enough to tell whether the unit is just at it temp and doesn't need to cool it down further. Herman
