  1. Hobart, Doug responded to your comment. Hey Herman, We will (and have had) the seminar listings, event schedule, and, in fact, the entire program posted on FMCA’s web site at least a month before the start of the convention. Thanks, Doug So let me suggest that around the first week in February go to fmca.com and click on conventions and check to see the seminars. Herman
  2. Hobart, I will mention this to Doug. Thanks for the heads up on seminar infromation. Herman
  3. Congratulation on your first National. There is so much to do and see so sign up for the seminars that interest you and get the Credit Card out, There are things in the Vendors you can't pass up. I will be one of the Parkers in a Red Ball Cap. Wave or stop and chat. Herman
  4. I have replaced my Aermometer once before. I purchased the one I have now because it said that the cups/blade were replaceable without having to purchase the entire unit. I can not find the replacement cup/blade It is a Girard Aermometer. Girard only shows the entire unit at a cost of $162.00. Anyone know where I might get the replacement cup/blade? Herman
  5. Welcome back John, We go through KC at least once a year. But have not looked for a park in KC. We always go to Overland Park and overnight in the WalMart parking lot. It is located in a very nice and safe area very similar Frisco. Have you gone to www.rvparkreviews.com ? Herman
  6. greamie, Welcome to the Forum. You might start with a steering stabilizer of some sort. Safe-T-Plus comes to mind. But there are several other good units available. Do you have wandering when driving? Are the tires wearing unevenly? Some coaches just need a good alignment, a change of air pressure in the tires, and even weight distribution on the front axle. Herman
  7. Carl, On our coach I have a selector valve for the water. It has two positions. City, that will provide water to the whole coach without need of the pump (I turn the pump off when on city water). The second position is Fill. When placed in the Fill position it will fill the water holding tank. When in the Fill position the pump will come on because it can not build up pressure in the position. When there is sufficient water in the Tank I return the selector to City an use city water. If dry camping or going down the road I will have the pump in the on position. Herman
  8. 67, I had a similar issue with our coach. Had a trickle charge in the coach. it had a difficult time keeping my batteries charged. Turned out one of my two 12 volt chassis batteries was bad. Changed out both and now the trickle charger keep then up very well. I have mentioned this before but will tell it again. Most diesel coaches have a built in block heater. In most cases it is on a power cord that has to plug into a receptacle in the engine bay. That receptacle is only hot when on shore power or with the generator running. I mounted my trickle charger in the battery bay and connected it to the batteries. I then unpluged the block heater cord and plugged the trickle charger in the the receptacle . Now any time I am on the gen. or shore power the charger maintains the charge in the chassis batteries. A few but not many inverters will charge both house and chassis batteries. Hope this helps. Herman
  9. IMHO if a check valve is installed before or after the pump and in the correct direction, it will not cycle off and on. With a working check valve it will prevent water pressure from going backwards which will allow the pump to build up sufficient pressure to shut off the pump until there is a demand for water. It will then, after the water demand is shut off, it will build up the correct pressure and shut off the pump. Herman
  10. John, Welcome to the Forum. Yes the Trip Planning was dropped on Dec. 31, 2017. If you will email dball@fmca he will give the correct information. If I understand correctly it can still be gotten but through other steps. Herman
  11. Joe, Had a friend that had a 1999 Beaver Patriot Thunder that had the windshield popping out problem. Carl, Was it you that told me about the fix on the Monaco products that had the windshield issue? Herman
  12. Joe the front cap on the Windsor and the Dynasty are the same, however there may be a difference in the skeleton from one model to the next. Herman
  13. jen, Have you checked the direction of the flow on the pump? Herman
  14. Blake, I have heard of this issue before. I understand, sorry I can't remember where I heard it, that there is a brace that can be installed in the front cap just above the windshield. It stiffens up the farming of the front and eliminates the windshield/front cap issue. I will try and found out where I heard about the brace. Herman
  15. Carl, Is he capable of doing any of the work and if so do you trust him to do a good job? If not and you need them to vacate until the work is done, does that constitute breaking the lease. If so then Linda doesn't need to return her deposit. Then again we are talking about a small Hill Country Town where we all know things are done a bit different. Good luck to Linda and keep your rubber boots on. Herman
  16. Sorry to hear about the house. Was it empty? Had the water been running all that time? Let us know if there is anything we can do. Herman & Bobbie
  17. acadnaif, Welcome to the Forum. Best bet would be to put The Weather Channel app on your phone. that way you can check the weather on your way and in Indio with out any problems. Good Luck and enjoy Indio. Herman
  18. Bikeryder, Looks like you got rid of a lot of frustrations with that therapy session. Herman
  19. Check with RV Fog Dr. Searcy Arkansas. 501-278-3015 RVFog Dr.com Ask Ed if they have the inserts you need. Herman
  20. My 15 year old coach has noises and they are Here Today and Gone Tomorrow only to be replaced by another. Herman
  21. Carl, What you have is a bad check valve in your pump. They are notorious for failing. Especially when subjected to high pressures. You can put an end to the problem by installing a inline check valve. I had my pump check valve fail on several occasions until I installed an inline check valve. One of the main reason they recommend the pressure reducer on your hose is to protect the pump check valve . As for the pump cycling off and on is due to the check valve seeping back into the tank. If on shore water it can cause the tank to fill and overflow. If not on shore water and only on the pump the pump will cycle off and on since the pump can't hold the preset limit switch. If you have shutoff valve between the pump and the tank, you can close it when on shore power and prevent the tank from filling. I got my inline check valve at Lowe's along with a ball valve and all the needed hoses and clamps. Herman
  22. I have seen vehicles with the standard single shock per side that had the configuration changed to a two shock ride. However that was when a tall Lift Kit was installed. I think the person that gave the advice to add a second shock may have a good point for a heavy vehicle. Herman
  23. Would the difference in the voltage have anything to do with the performance between the two country's? Herman
  24. Just noticed in the OP the entry steps are a Corean, Granite or some other Hard surface material. It looks as if there is some sort of non skid on them. Maybe he can show the entry steps to the Topic about remodeling your entry steps. Ernie made a comment about hard surfaces. Sorry to move away from the Topic. Herman
