  1. Jen, good looking family. This July FMCA's Convention and Family Reunion (Rally) will be in Gillette Wyoming. Give a shout out to David Marlowe. David and his wife Loretta are the Youth Directors for FMCA and will be doing all of the planning for that Rally. Gillette sits right in between Yellowstone to the West and Devils Tower and Mount Rushmore to the East. They will have something for all ages. dmarlowe@wildblue.net Hope to see you there. Herman
  2. Thanks, I knew of them in Madison and Indianapolis but wasn't sure about Perry. Will talk with BC to see if we will have some parking close to them. Herman
  3. Roland, You will shortly be getting all the information you will ever need on the RVG from Tom B. Tom is even a Golfer. Herman
  4. Joe, That is the exact sensor I have. As you can see there is a small nut on top and when removed you can replace the blade. The Blade is what I can't find. Herman
  5. patriot44 and jenmacias, I applaud you both. Your children would learn so much from the adventure seeing this wonderful country. My only concern is for the children's social life. I have a niece that home schooled all 4 of her children but they lived in one place the entire time. The younger of the two, boys decided that they wanted to play sports and she oped to send them to public school when they reached the 6th and 7th grades. If you are able to say travel all summer in the North and maybe meet families from all corners of the country then put them in school in the south during the winter they would have the best of both worlds. Friend all over the country and friends at home. Remember by being members of FMCA your children have over 75,000 Grand Parents. Just my thoughts Good Luck Herman
  6. Wayne, someone else said they weight at Weight station scales when they are closed. Have passed many on the road that were closed but never drove across them. Do they mind? Herman
  7. "Old girl fatter than I thought!" "Blame it on the DW", Joe do you really want to go there???????????????????? Herman
  8. Welcome to the Forum, I have the Key-less entry on our coach and when I can't get the door to unlock with the remote or key pad, I just used the key to unlock the door. You can also use a jumper cable to the chassis battery and unlock the door. If all 6 batteries are fully charged and wired correctly you should not have any problem opening the door. Since you are in Ohio and it is very cold now, might I suggest that you ,if you can, plug in your block heater. Diesel engines are not fond of cold but work well if the heater has been on for several hours. Good luck and don't be a stranger, let us know what you find. Herman
  9. Cruiser, if you are pleased with the Toyos why not stay with the same on the front? When having the rear tire all the same and they all have the same Date code be sure and have them mounted with the date code facing out. The same with the Fronts. It makes it much easier to check the dates. Herman
  10. Thank you Joe. In Indianapolis We parked about 15 to 20 Class "B"s. They were all in one area, (at their request and got very angry if we parked any other type of coach there). It was all back ins and very close to the restroom and shower. I am not sure they will have the same luxury in Perry. I don't remember there being any showers there. Someone please correct me if I am wrong. Herman
  11. Carl, Use as a toad. Now that is not a bad idea. It may be a bit expensive. but not bad. It could be used for transportation when parked and could go exploring out over night or it could be a mother-in-law apartment. But still an idea. Herman
  12. sasmit8, On GMC, Eagle, Prevost and so on have the Basement A/C designed to keep 70 + folks comfortable. Basement A/C units in motor homes were designed to save money . Sorry, Herman
  13. Lucky, Welcome to the Forum. Pros = 0 Cons= Not enough time to list them all. Sorry, Herman
  14. Bill, Take a closer look. What you are seeing is the end of the clamp strap. It isn't loose it just looks that way. Herman
  15. Could be the striker bolt needs adjusting. Adjusted mine and it helped some . Went inside the door panel and adjusted the release rod, works like a charm. Herman
  16. Eddie, Is the bottom of your step well Wood or sheet metal? If it is wood, will it not still get moisture from the bottom? If is sheet metal, can't it still get moisture from the underside? Also If it is sheet metal I would give it a good cleaning and several coats of primer before putting the plate down. I enjoy the step by step pictures. Good luck and we all look forward to seeing the finished product. Herman
  17. rc, This is how I check my batteries. I make sure they are fully charged. (if they will not charge then they are bad) I have a battery load tester and will test each battery on its own. on a fully charged battery it will read close to 13 volts. Then I put a load on each. It will read in the Green = good, Yellow = marginal, or Red = Bad. You can have one battery reading in the Green and one in the Red. Even if the coach starts after being fully charged but you have one bad it will draw down the good one. Do not replace just one but both of them. Some coaches can have batteries that will last for years and some that will eat up batteries in no time at all. There are Demons that will have a constant draw and lower the life of your batteries. That is why I have a trickle charge,r permanently mounted, that will monitor and maintain my batteries at all time. Herman
  18. Let me add something else to have when going to a National or any other Rally. Extra Power Cord, 50 amp to 30 amp adapter and extra sewer hose (more then one of each is not a bad idea. I have aerial photos of 2014 and 2016. I will try to scan and post them here. They do not show any definition of power but they will give you an over all view of the Ag. Center. Sorry, I have tried several time and for some reason I can't scan the pictures. If I am able to scan them I will post them later. Herman
  19. Dan, Here is where all of it is located on my 2001 Monaco Dynasty. In the rear closet there is a hatch on the floor. There are two latches, one on either side closest to you. Press the round button on each then open the hatch. You will find a moisture proof outlet on the Right Hand side. The out let is only hot when connected to shore power or the generator is running. Very close to the out let you will find what look like an extension cord. That is the cord to the Block Heater. Plug in the cord and make sure the switch in the dash marked "BLOCK HEATER" is ON. It may take several hours for it it warm the block. Hope this helps. Herman
  20. If I can see it correctly you will be laying on your stomach and working through the hole in the closet floor. That is if you have a bedroom slide. Put lot of protection on the floor, the bed and remove all and I mean all of the clothes. I would have one or more old blankets folded to lay on. I had to change the belts on our first coach (gas). My wife said I finally got to use my superior Touchy Feely technique. Most of the job will done by Braille. You just can't see a lot down there. Don't get me wrong, it can be done, just be patient and take your time. Good luck, Herman
  21. Harley, Welcome to the Forum. Had never heard of the Racor gauge for the fuel filter line. I for one will look into one. Thanks, Herman
  22. Looking forward to it. A little story. Several year ago when I was Parking Lt. in Shawnee, Oklahoma, I got many calls from the then Area Vice President, telling me that one of his friends called and wanted a good Parking Spot and he told them come on he had a special spot for them. I finally said to him, "How many Special Spots I had?" he told me "not to worry that all parking spots were special ". So let me say, "Come on in I will have a special parking spot for you". Herman
  23. Heather, Welcome to the world of Confusion. There will be many thoughts and Ideas for which is the best tire for a coach. I will only tell you what tire I have and how I like them. I have Goodyear G670s on our coach 2 2002 Monaco Dynasty. They were the original mfg. that came on the coach. I have not had one issue with them. They ride and wear well. They were less expensive then others but still of high quality. Good Luck, Herman
  24. Rick, It looks really nice. However if you have just driven 250 to 300 miles in the rain and your coach is really dirty , I would not turn them on till I washed the coach. Carl what might help would for you to purchase a New 2018 Newell P50. I understand that they have push buttons to open the bay doors and open and close the slides. We are sitting at 7 degrees here in Whitewright. High today is only supposed to reach only 21. I know lots of places are colder then here but that doesn't help to stay any warmer. BRRRRRRRR! I read that there is a place in Russia where it was 86 degrees below zero. Now that is cold. It said that the region had a population of over 3 million. I guess there are that many stupid people in this world, just didn't know they were all in one place. Herman
