Just my opinion, I feel that the Governing Board did the right thing . By their passing the Amendment they sent it to the entire membership to vote on the issue. Each of you that have been so vocal on the issue, now is your chance to be heard. I am anxious to see just how many members will take the time to actually fill out the ballot and mail it. Last time there were right at 700 votes mailed in, that is less than 1% of the Membership FYI the ballots will go directly to a independent firm to tabulate the votes and present the results to the Executive Board. The government has a set payment for mileage and perdeim. What you do is submit a expense report for the number of miles to and from your home to the destination and back. I believe they use the mileage from google maps. Plus the number of days on the road. What your DW visit with the Dispersing Officer and ask the best way to submit a expense report for reimbursement. Kayse, Welcome to the Forum. When is the best time to sell an RV. Winter time is the worst time since everyone is wondering why they are making payment on something they can't use. However it is also the best time to buy. Folks are in hurry to get out from under the payments. I have found the best time to put your RV on the market is during or right after a local RV and or Sports show. That is the time folks are fired up to get an RV. Herman

Bill, We are venturing off the subject a bit. But Perry has a great deal to offer. Most of the parking is on hard surface. the seminar rooms are all very close together. The arena is good with easy access. We always have many show coaches. There are large vendor area to accommodate a great number which we always have. Show coaches, vendors and seminars are the biggest draws for the conventions. Plus we always have good numbers there despite the rain which we always have. Herman

Tom, I know several folks that have the Magna Shades. They look to be very easy to to put on. Just a long stick. I did see that it is better and easier to put on if there are two people. Mark, Entegra doesn't make a $2,000.000.00 coach. With more experience with a Class A motor home you will understand there is a great deal of difference between taking delivery of a Chevrolet Malibu and a 40 Foot diesel Motor Home. I can't understand how you can misinterpret what Bill stated. When you purchase motor home, big or small, expensive or entry level, you have to do a through Pre-Delivery Inspection. What you also missed was that Bill was wondering where the OP had gone. Did he take the coach back to the factory, did he get his problem solved?? Herman

Ron, Sorry but I have to agree with Brett. I have a Monaco and there and there are three battery switches in the coach. There are two in the battery compartment. They are called Battery Disconnect Switched. One for the house batteries and one for the Chassis batteries. The third switch is the battery cut off switch (aka "Salesman Switch "). The S/S cuts the power to the items that can be left on between showings. Lightsand soforth. It has no effect on the chassis batteries. The OP needs to test the power to the starter solenoid and instruments solenoid. If there is power to one side of each then there is an issue from the ignition switch. It is very unlikely that both solenoids would go bad at the same time. He said he was going to the coach to trouble shoot. Lets let him tell us what he finds.

Turn your key off. Check both sides of each solenoid. One side should have power and one side dead. Then do the test again with the key on and you should have power to both sides. Also with the key on, check for power to the small terminals. If only one with the key on you should have power. If two, one is power and one is ground. If on the first test you do not have power to either side then you either have the salesman switch off or it is bad. If you do have power to one side in test two but not to both then the solenoid is either bad or you have a key switch problem. You can jump accross the solenoid but be very careful. Herman

My Monaco has two solenoids in the front electrical panel. One for is for the starter and one for dash instruments. Is would be unusual for both to go out at the same time. I go with the salesman switch. Herman

How many times has this happened? Was only one taken or all of them? All wheels or just off one? Is this in a secured storage facility or at your home? If a storage facility, I would visit with the owner to see if more folks are having issues. Herman

What kind of insurance do you have? If it's covered for a trip, it's covered for a trip, cross country or to the store. Herman

Just to add another interlock to Rich's thought are the bay doors. If a bay door under a slide is open nothing will start. Not sure on your coach. If you have a door open or have opened one before you tried to start the coach try going around and opening and closing them again. Might not help but it can't hurt to try. Herman

The proposal to change to FMCA for recreation vehicle owners was passed by the Governing Board and will now go to the Membership for voting. I believe they passed it so that the Entire Membership could have a say so in the decision. My hope is that there is a better number of votes then the last time. Less than 10% voted the last time. So my commit is to "either vote or not complain about the results." Herman

It is amazing what all go through the turn signal switch. My thought would be to replace the switch. However this does require removing the steering wheel in most cases. But before I did that I would make sure the brake light switch is good. Herman

John, I remember a single wheeled trailer from many years ago. It mounted at two points on the bumper (that was way back when vehicles had steel bumpers) and had a single swivel wheel. Herman
