  1. WOW, like a young child. You got one and I didn't, I'm going to tell mommy. Stop, look and listen. It will be worked out. All of the complaining and finger pointing won't help a bit. It will be worked out but it can't be done with the snap of a finger. Herman
  2. Bill it is never a problem with being safe than sorry. Checking, cleaning and tightning electrical once a year should be on all annual checks. Besides you may even find your problem. Herman
  3. I stand corrected. I googled 50 amp GFCI Breakers and found quite a few. Single and double poles. Ranging in price from $89.95 to as high a over $300. Google before I speak from now on. (well maybe sometimes) Herman
  4. Bill one place to start might be to check all connections on the 50 amp side of your coach. Make sure all surfaces are clean and Tight. Like Brett, a 50 amp GIF breaker is new to me. Herman
  5. I have an older Atlas that I use when traveling on roads off the interstates. It is a stapled edition without the spiral binder that cuts through right where you want to go. The details on the older atlas is very good for smaller roads and towns. It doesn't have overpass heights but what the heck, having to unhook and back up, to me is just part of driving a rolling earth quake down the road. Herman
  6. Folks please be cautious of your language. Use of bad language can result in your post being deleated. Thanks for understanding, Herman
  7. I personally think Chris Smith, our Executive Director, and his Staff are doing a great job. They found a great new benefit for the members. He spoke of the new program that they were in negotiations with and would run a test program. When the announcement was made to keep it under their hats until it is worked out to a room of 25 to 30 individuals, guess what, It ain't a secret any more. Mistakes were made. Steps are being taken to ratify the situation. Please be patient you will get your chance to get your MiFi. Thank you Chris to you and your staff for continuing to improve the benefits to the members. Herman
  8. I now remember the Hydro Boost system. We had two Chevrolet 1 ton dully Pickups that had that system where I worked one time. What I remember was having a pallet of oil in the bed of one of the trucks and two pallets on the trailer I was pulling and coming to a traffic light. When I stepped on the brakes all I did was slow down. The police officer at the intersection saw what was happening and turned on his strobe light and all traffic stopped while I slowly went through the intersection. Thank goodness for the officer. We had the truck checked many time but could never find out why the brakes were marginal at best. I personally never drove that truck again. Herman
  9. Sorry for my dumb question, I had never heard of a back up brake system. As always, you learn something new everyday. Plan on exploring it more. Thanks , Herman

    FMCA Plates

I took my plaque to Fast Signs. They took a picture of it. They then made decals I had one made to mount on the inside of the windshield anothr one to go on the rear of the coach. I also several smaller ones made to go on the golf cart and my truck. I don't remember the cost but I know it all was less than $50.00. Herman

    FMCA Plates

RL, check with one of your local builders. They order address plate quite often. Also check with your city's Purchasing Department. They order custom plate for parks and buildings. Herman

  15. Ross, I believe the salesman switch is the battery switch just inside the front door that is used to discount any items that may draw down the chassis batteries between showings. Used mostly when the unit isn't hooked to shore power. The two you mentioned are, in most units, in or close to both the house and chassis batteries. . Herman
  16. Carolyn & Ron, Was there an actual fire? If so was there more damage? Herman
  17. John, check out PPL in Houston for your Kwikee step unit. Herman
  18. Scott, I have parked many Class "C" coaches at National Rallies. Many of older folks will down size to Class"C"s. They still want to go and it is smaller it is easier to drive and get into and out of. Never try to get us to stop, slow down a bit but not stop.😉 Herman
