On the Thetford electric toilets there is a manual knob in the rear. It can be used to open and close the slider valve. if it is slow one might open the slide lube it and close it. Lube might help a slow unit or even a stuck slide. One might give it a try. Herman

May a Chapter be affiliated with more than one area? As and example, may a Chapter that is in the INTO area also be affiliated with South Central. I have looked at the By Laws and the Standing Rules and can't find an answer. Perhaps I overlooked it. The question in my mind was if a chapter was affiliated with two area would their National Director be able to vote for items in each area? Yes, when you ask Disk to change you to the local channels where you are at any given time it will change your home receiver. When you ask them to change your location to say, Charleston, SC your receiver in Galveston will lose the Houston Area channels. When we have been on the road and have changed to the different areas local channels I will call Dish when we are about 50 to a 100 miles from home and ask them to change the locals back to our home Zip Code. This way when we get home we have the locals on the TV as if we had never left. One draw back when changing you locals to where you might be at that time, is if you have any programs that are on your home locals set to record they will not be recorded. 475 foot pounds sounds like a lot. I'm not sure I could stand on the torque wrench and get that many foot pounds. I don't even think I could lift the cheater bar it would take. That is the reason I go to my friendly tire shop. They have the tools and man power to do the job. Herman

aquamike, Find a good local Upholstery Shop. Have them make you a cover just for the seat. A good shop might be able to put a reinforced area to cover the area where you might have the most wear. Good luck, Herman

If you have a bad odor in your refrigerator try this. Clean out the unit and turn it off. When it is defrosted take several large onions. Cut then in half and cross hatch the tops. Place them in the refrigerator and close the doors. Let them sit for several hours they will absorb the foul odor. Remove them and check for the odor. It may take several tries. PS: DO NOT EAT THE ONIONS. Used this method many times while working in an auto upholstery shop. Herman

Gunther, Welcome to the Forum. 10 years old tires are on borrowed tire. Check side walls for crazing. Also look closely between the treads. I know you may have deep treads but that is only the tip of tire issues. Be careful and safe. Herman

nk, Before changing the bulbs check the voltage to the lights like Brett said. Several things can make bulbs not functional to their full potential. Volts, bad ground and too small wire guage. Herman

Klc, We were in Shawnee a month ago and was told that the Grand Casino no longer has free RV parking. Now it is $50.00 per night. That makes the $25.00 per night with full hook ups at the Expo Center look pretty good. Herman

While at HWH this summer I saw them working on a Prevost slide. They had the slide pulled out on a fork lift. They told me that is was easier and quicker to just pull the slide to replace the seal. Might be a bit more difficult if it is a kitchen slide, but what do I know. By the way the coach had formally been owned by "Girls Gone Wild". If coaches could talk wow. Herman

Five, Your situation brings up a vote for steel rims. Aluminum rims are very nice but had you had steel rims you could have gotten a 315 tire put it on the front and moved the 295 drive tire to the drive axle. Not an ideal situation but one that would get you out of harms way. You can't move aluminum rims around in case of an emergency. Herman

Carl, I couldn't find your assemblies by the numbers you sent. Maybe when you can get the coach out in a better light you may have better luck. I just found my assemblies on eBay. They come in pairs (both sides) with free shipping and no tax for $128.99. I will order them just before we are to return home from volunteering at the Louisiana State Fair in Shreveport . It was easy for us to justify the $10.00 increase. The other night we were out for dinner and the DW wanted dessert. I said, "let skip the dessert just this one time and the savings will cover the dues increase." Went home and broke out the Blue Bell (already purchased before the increase).
