  1. FYI to all Forum Members. FMCA Member, It has come to our attention that an email communication claiming to be from FMCA was sent to a number of our members. The message, claiming to be for a fellow member in need of financial assistance for medical bills, includes a button that looks like a link to a GoFundMe page. Our IT Team is investigating the source of this scam, but we wanted to alert anybody who may receive the email that you should be aware of, it did not come from FMCA. Below is a screenshot from the email: If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to our Membership Services Team at membership@fmca.com. Thanks, Dan Ball Director of Membership Herman
  2. I have no idea where my mind was, Thanks Ross. Herman
  3. I am so sorry, I had no intention of offending anyone. I had never seen an RV with H/C plates. I now understand. Again I apologize to all. Herman
  4. plowjockey, Welcome to the Forum. Several questions, what refrigerator do you have and is your inverter Pure or Modified Sound Wave? Some makes of refrigerators will not work on a Modified Sound Wave Inverters. That being the case if you do change inverters be sure to get a Pure Sound Wave. Again Welcome, Herman
  5. Right here in North Texas and thankful I'm not in the North East. Herman
  6. Fortunately Joe is a young man. Unfortunately Pennsylvania is where his job is and his daughters are in school. However I do believe his girls have graduated or one has. I give him credit, he takes as much time as he can to travel south. You go Joe. Herman
  7. As Kay said Welcome. In addition to what Kay asked what type of heat system are we talking about, Aqua Hot, Hydro Hot, Oasis or Propane? Again Welcome Herman
  8. Try Essex Credit. They are a broker and will find you a very competitive rate. Sorry I don't have their number but you can Google it. Hope this helps. Herman
  9. Just a thought. if the number you got doesn't work try the last 4 numbers of your VIN number and or engine serial number. Herman
  10. This is a long shot but may help. 1) Google search 2005 Vectra 2) RV Trader has 4 on their list for sale the first is a private owner. 3) There is a place that you can email the seller. The seller may have the code. You may have to try more than one. Have you reached out to Winnebago? Herman
  11. I would contact either or both Cummins and Freightliner. Herman
  12. breezy2, Did you contact anyone at FMCA before you declared the program a failure. Did you stop and think it may have been on your end. My advise would be to contact Membership Services at FMCA and tell them exactly what happened and give them a chance to ratify the situation. The number is (513)474-3622 and ask for Membership Services. Herman
  13. Sounds like the dealer want to get rid of old inventory. I would check the MFG. DATES on the tires he is trying to push off on the customer. Herman
  14. Dennis, On Monday the OP said that he had bought the Blue OX Avail and even showed some pictures. If you don't mind me asking why did you change tow bars? Herman
  15. Be careful not to camp under someone else. 😯 Herman
  16. Why would you have a handicap plate on a motorhome? Herman
  17. B Slade, Welcome to the Forum. The best places to look for me are RV Salvage Lots. Try these two, Visone RV Salvage (606) 843-9889 or Colaws (417) 548-2125. Again Welcome. Herman
  18. Opps, glad to know that we are not alone out there. Glad you got it solved. Herman
  19. Ernie, if you go to FMCA's towing guide I believe it goes back to 2000. Will this help? Herman
  20. Yes, that seems to be where the problem starts . Just to be sure you might google Hopkins Kit and see if there has been issues with it. Herman
  21. shagphil, Welcome to the Forum. You may have some bad diodes. If the light on the toad work when not hooked up but not when connected the diodes would be the first place I would look. Again Welcome. Herman
  22. On two different occasions, since l have been a member, there was voting by all members. The ballots were printed in the magazine and members were given three months to send in their ballots. Each time less than 8% of the Membership voted. There is no way of knowing but I would guess that the majority of those that voted were members of a chapter. Herman
  23. Firestone 500's and tire problems, enough said. Herman
