  1. From the original post: " When weighed the front driver axle weighed 5700 LBS. The front passenger axle weighed 3770 LBS. "
  2. It is the RIDE HEIGHT VALVES that determine the amount of air to the air bags. Said another way, air bags "just do what they are told" by the ride height valves. With very rare exception, coaches have three ride height valves-- two on one axle, one on the other. Adjustment is started on the axle with two.
  3. I agree with RayIN, Very first thing to check with out of balance weights is RIDE HEIGHT. Don't know whether your coach has two ride height valves in front or rear, but start on the axle with two and get it to spec. Then "average" the measurements on the other axle.
  4. Agree, but that does not mean that someone could not (by mistake) use the DEF nozzle to fill the diesel tank!
  5. Depending on which inverter/charger you have, you are likely just fine. Most have a built in transfer switch. So, when the inverter/charger sees 120 VAC from either shore power or generator, it "passes through" that power to all circuits downstream. It also charges the batteries. So, it is really not "inverting" to power the outlet when on shore power. Again this is how most are wired-- what inverter/charger do you have?
  6. So, what he really needs is someone who can safely dispose of contaminated fuel. Check with the local Ford dealer-- DEF contaminated fuel tanks are not uncommon in PU's either. Local fire department may also have a recommendation. And, do NOT start the engine again until all the DEF is out of tank, lines and (new) filters, or the cost of repair will jump up exponentially.
  7. leisureflytes@hotmail.com, Welcome to the FMCA Forum. The Onan Micro 4000 is an air-cooled generator-- no antifreeze (coolant) to check. The thread is also 6 1/2 years old.
  8. gkozlo, Welcome to the FMCA Forum. Does he have a problem that FUEL POLISHING would not cure? A lot less $$ and should be easy to find in that marine area.
  9. You did not make it clear from which Forum it was deleted. On this one: Right where you posted it 19 minutes ago: http://community.fmca.com/topic/11905-christmas-greetings/?tab=comments#comment-94531 Yes, if this turns into a religious discussion (not allowed on this or most other forums), YES, it will be deleted. ON EDIT: YES, AND IF IT TURNS INTO A POLITICAL DISCUSSION, SAME RESULT.
  10. Pamela, Thanks for the link. From the wording in the matrix, not clear to me whether the interest deduction of $750k was the TOTAL cap for a household or $750 for primary PLUS $750k for secondary/RV. Sometimes the devil is in the details!
  11. Thanks, already turned into staff to correct.
  12. Tomsol, Welcome to the FMCA Forum. Monaco/Safari did not make the camera and very unlikely they made the side camera housing. See if you can find a brand on any of the camera equipment. If not, can you post a picture? May be a more reasonable source than trying to find one in an RV wrecking yard.
  13. Did you (carefully) feel the exhaust (outside the coach)?
  14. Just an observation. Let's keep this thread on track, and not slide off into political discussions. It IS an excellent topic: Interest deduction on motorhomes under the new tax code. CPA's please jump in once you have read it. Thanks.
  15. Maybe, but if too many blocked, the SAIL SWITCH would not close and furnace would not try to ignite. That is the fail-safe for insufficient air flow.

    Fuel Injectors

Official answer from Caterpillar (Percent biodiesel permissible): For engines built prior to 1/1/07 up to 30% For engines built after 1/1/07: C7 and C9 up to 5% C13 and C15 up to 20%
  17. TXiceman, Welcome back to FMCA and welcome to the FMCA Forum.
  18. Before assuming BOTH low beam headlights went bad, I would check for power to them. With a wiring diagram from Newmar, trace out where they get power-- very possibly a RELAY is involved.
  19. Carl, Very different than my experience at the Texas City office. Absolutely did have to parallel park, though the space was plenty long enough. Driving route was the same they use for cars, including through neighborhoods with low-hanging trees. We are ABSOLUTELY an anomaly to them. And prior to the driving test, the written test (actually on computer) was 90% about 18 wheelers and lighting requirements on tractors, etc. Irrelevant for us, but part of the process. Study for a couple of hours and get it done.
  20. OK, back to original topic, please. Thanks you.
  21. 2010lexingtongts, Welcome to the FMCA Forum. Yes, there will be a delay between thermostat signaling the furnace to turn on and gas valve opening/igniter sparking-- the PC board needs to see the SAIL SWITCH signal that there is sufficient air flow before initiating "fire". A few minutes sounds long, though. Have you checked for ducts in the basement that may have come loose so the furnace is heating mostly the basement. Assume you have stood outside and verified that the furnace exhaust IS hot.
  22. From Roadmaster's website: https://fitmaster.roadmasterinc.com/fitmaster-results/?years=2017&make=KIA&model=SOUL&type=crossbar Recommended install time 2.5 hours. Sure, if it their first one, it will likely take longer.
  23. Interesting. What did the surge guard say was wrong with power that new breakers "fixed"??
  24. Yup, no "one answer fits all" here. Absolutely if the A/C condenser is in front of the engine "cooling package" AND (yes big AND) that triggers the high HP fan to HIGH, it will have more impact on fuel mileage than running a generator powering one roof A/C. But, not true if the A/C condenser has a separate 12 VDC fan or if it is in "back" but does not turn the big cooling package fan to high. Knowing what you have allows you to make smart decisions!
  25. What you are describing is a front mounted A/C CONDENSER. Some are front mounted, some mounted in the side in back. Absolutely, without air movement over the condenser, it can not remove heat from the interior.
