  1. I have used the Peppermint oil as well but have found if it is plugged in the the sonic units work the best. One in the basement and if they get past that a couple top side eliminates their desire to inhabit your home. i live in the high country of Colorado where they are prevalent and have not see a trace since adding the sonic units bought from Amazon. I use them in the garage since it is the main access to our home and none in the house any more either.
  2. Cabin Bright is certainly a good choice and quality stuff. Yes I am familiar with them was not at the time I was doing all the conversions.
  3. After thinking about the question it appears she wants to install a receptacle ie. a duplex on the passenger side of the coach and wants to know where to pull (get) the power from. But as usual she has not been back to clarify, maybe even look. Not all that difficult as there are or is at least one or should be a receptacle in the basement. Where ever the power comes from it needs to be downstream of a GFCI. The other question that begs an answer it it 120 volt or 12 volt. If it is 12 volt there is no GFCI involved and that power is all over the place. The other consideration should be how big is the draw or said another way what kind of use is this duplex going to be servicing. Another thing that would help is to know the model of the 2002 Monaco coach.
  4. You guys certainly are a lot smarter than I am on this score. I went down to HD and bought a nice LED fixture and installed it after removing the old florescent fixture, seems like it was 80 bucks...what is wrong with this picture. 😩
  5. I want out here, snow on the ground and I am on top of a tall ridge in Colorado...can not go til Jan. Rayin, Keep the faith, God bless you both. B
  6. Most body shop supply houses sell different structural epoxy adhesives today. They are common in the world of body assembly. Many panels are now glued as opposed to spot welded.
  7. My F350 7.3 Super Duty which I ordered and ordered with 4.10 diff, I am not sure I would do that again probably go taller as it is effortless pulling away but the top end suffers drastically. I am not a polky guy unloaded and at times wish it had longer legs that 92....I knoooow but a lot of open real estate heading west that the 1 ton Dodge I had prior would just chew up. I am not a Dodge guy but that truck would really haul/fly.
  8. I found another bottle of R12 Freon that contains about 20 pounds of virgin Freon. It was packed in a container I had not opened for quite a while. If anyone need it, it is available.
  9. Pressure test the entire cooling system in order to find where the coolant is entering the oiling system. You know the oil cooler is fine. The coolant system is not. It could be a number of places. Apparently you need a real mechanic...just sayin...maybe What you learned from the oil cooler check is that it is not your issue...
  10. The first rule here is do not, I repeat do not trust the folks that tell you it is all sealed up. You need to look more closely. I can see several places that look suspicious. Sorry with out really looking at it hard to be sure. I have a friend that bought a coach fully sealed and in a couple rains in the Pacific Northwest filled the grey water tank through the shower drain. You need to educate yourself as to the issue, to solve the issue. cleanseal.com another source for seals. Fleetwood does not own monaco name REV does
  11. Pressure test! Find the leak then act
  12. Herman not everybody thinks like that. It is out of their bos so to speak...that is why this forum exists.
  13. Hey Rich do you have the addition to that manual that includes the slide. On a Safari an additional manifold was added to operate the slide. I need the electrical schematic .
  14. Love it...Great T-9 This is the life we now live and they vote...common sense gone.
  15. look again Carl. There are pics from outside looking in and inside looking out. Never the less strange
  16. Joe I would concur with you. Every time I have had a problem I could track it back to something stupid I did. That said I ran a set of 9.50 16.5 Bridgestone V steels on a heavy trailer for years, till they were so cracked up it was pitiful. They held the same air for years. Finally sold the trailer while down sizing and and he changed the tires. Now I know better.
  17. No Carl hail would not do that, particularly considering it is on the inside as well. The glass is not broken and for hail to have had an effect inside it would have broken the glass.
  18. Carl you know the there are truckers that do not like us big RVers. There are lowlifes in every community. That is exactly why I do the fueling and Janet does the paying. No it does not happen often but just often enough to make us cringe. This makes me now aware that when I put the side cameras on, to be sure and cover the front wheels. Mine will as it is 5 feet from the centerline of the front axle to the nose of the coach.
  19. E Miller. As Herman indicated we too have done the same. Last year we left it in the desert for 4 days unattended and no issues. This group as a whole seems pretty straight up. THere is common sense to be used. Do not leave valuable things in plain view and ask for a visit from a low life passing by.
  20. I have a 24 foot Featherlite enclosed trailer and run the 235/85 R16 Sailuns, so far so good. It is an all steel casing and reasonably priced. At this point 2 years old and look good, minimal wear. I agree with Carl who would put a lugged style, rough terrain oriented tire on a trailer unless they thought it looked cool???
  21. Good job explaining that Richard, Best way to protect yourself in terms of the perceived value of the coach, is too have it appraised and then have a policy that is a "Stated value" policy otherwise the assigned value is Market value...big difference
  22. Good job Joe. That is a statement, the weight loss, it is a testament to perseverance and long life ahead. WOW Stand Tall! I told you when we met and I will say it again you have a really great looking coach, it too makes a terrific statement about you.
  23. I have not finished the refinish of the front of my coach. When I do will likely do what Joe has as it is the easiest overall I think. Porsche owners used a BRA for years and then they slowly went away cause they were difficult to fit properly on the newer cars. Other issues too but on a coach straight forward. One thing few know is that it can be polished just like paint. Just use a little less pressure to keep the heat down. Frankly though I like the clear 3M film the best. It must be considered as I have stated before , a "maintenance item" and replaced before it ages out. I would use it again but the front of the Panther has so many levels, 2 is 2 many and I am not skilled enough to use a 36 inch wide piece and am unwilling to pay for another to install it. My panther came with one of the full width Lexan bug shields...great except that you could not clean under it/behind it. It was very cumbersome to remove, I did once and pitched it. The one thing I am going to try before adding the Black vinyl bra since I am going to paint it is to add a flex agent to the clear coat on the nose. Today all the front bumper skins on cars have a flex agent in the clear topcoat. I see no reason that would not work for the nose on a coach. It is a bit more time consuming as the finish dries much slower after adding the agent. It still color sands and polishes with a bit more effort.... You do not see big chips on these bumpers, a bit of nicking over time but worth a try.
