  1. I've been using a Traeger Silverton for a little over a year and enjoy it. The coach has a Weber Q1200 and if the Traeger portable had been out when I bought the Weber I would have gone with the Traeger. My son has a bigger traeger and just recently purchased a Blackstone and I am impressed for a house grill. I have not researched any of their models but his is very impressive. Last evening he did Fajitas. Sauteed the onions and peppers, pushed them over to the side with just a warmer burner on, put on a tub full of cut chicken in one row and a tub full of beef in the other row and cooked them at the same time. Looked like a professional restaurant grill.
  2. My wife has more news feeds on her iPad that I never miss the news!
  3. We are Sun Birds also and are typically gone from the heat May-June through Oct-Nov time frame. We also hunkered down for the summer. DW was climbing the walls so in November before thanksgiving we when to Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, TX for 10 days. While there we followed the same protocols that we did here at home. Wear masks, social distancing, and ordered our food an brought it in or cooked at the RV. We were just as safe there as we were at home. RV's are spaced apart, we sat in our chairs outside and talked to people strolling by and more than 6 foot distance. It's doable. We both had our first vaccine shot on 1/4. DW had a sore arm for a day and I had no problems at all. Second shot will be Feb 1st. We are still practicing the same protocols and will most likely do so after the second shot.
  4. I don't remember any of those. Probably because I don't want to remember them!
  5. Hey y'all, I had the Texas Mega Million winning lottery numbers in my hands tonight. Then they went and drew the balls and posted the numbers. Wasted money, but a good time had by all. On the other hand, I did have 3 of the winning numbers. All on different lines of course.
  6. Mine is mounted on the windshield in the center of the coach at dashboard level. Small little thing but records on a micro-mine sd card. Quality is exceptional but it is only forward looking. I wish I could remember the model/manufacturer. The cable runs along the channel of the windshield and is out of view with my Cig Lighter receptacle below the driver's window. Not intrusive at all. Many come with long cables and even extensions can be added. Mine is about 2 x 3 x 3/4 inches in size. If I go to the storage area in the next few days I'll try and remember to get the model # if you have not found one suitable by then.
  7. Don, can you explain the picture --- just kidding - got a good chuckle out of it.
  8. Take another look at Progressive. We have had it for years and in 2017 Hurricane Harvey totaled our 2008. Progressive policy said I would get what I paid for it and Progressive did pay me what I paid for it. Well worth any money I had put into the insurance policy.
  9. He wears a mask for COVID, but just sucks in the cedar!
  10. I'm putting on weight just read your post!
  11. It doesn't change how I feel about y'all, but I checked the spec sheet and it IS the 450. Feel better?
  12. It's Christmas Day and I'm to lazy after all the food last night to turn around in this comfortable computer chair and pull out the Spec Sheet. So there. Merry Christmas everyone.
  13. I'll bet pulling into a parking space gives some thought for concern. Merry Christmas to all.
  14. Carl, you may be right. (oops, did I say that). I just didn't check my spec sheet.
  15. Older model. That is why it is so important to read the manual that applies to your particular application. It was determined the Ethylene Glycal is very toxic, whereas polypropylene glycol is used in cosmetics with very low toxicity. Ethylene can be used at very low temperatures, I guess that is why the state for my 400-D to not lower the basement thermostat to less than 40 degrees. .
  16. My Aqua Hot is different. I have the 400-D series. (2015) The heat ex-changer at the register has a fan. It comes on when the demand is there (only takes a few seconds for the Aqua Hot to produce heat to pump. The heat ex-changer receives the hot coolant through the piping and returns it to the AH. The fan in the heat ex-changer is the force for the hot air to flow out of the register. That was the way it was described to me. From my manual: My bolded text "Thermostats: The interior room thermostat can be set at the desired temperature; therefore, whenever the interior of the room “calls for heat”, the Aqua-Hot’s circulation pump and interior heat exchanger fans will be activated. The fresh water thermostat controls the bay heating area and should NOT be set below 40°F, to prevent freezing of the domestic water storage system. Please contact the specific motor home dealer for exact location of thermostat controls." Also contact dealer or manufacture for model of Aqua-Hot. Manuals do change.
  17. Bill, with your high end coach I'll wager that your basement is like mine and is heated. The Aqua Hot Guru, Rudy Legett, said to run the Aqua Hot every 4 to 6 weeks and you only have to run it for one cycle. Turn it on, let it build and when it shuts off you can turn it off. That is the DIESEL side of it. It is to keep the nozzle from coagulating. The best way to check the coolant is with a refractometer (about $20 on Amazon), not strips. It is the recommended method in the Aqua Hot Manual Only use propylene glycol as the antifreez. Best to buy it directly from Aqua-Hot. Blah blah blah - manual is good read. p.s, since you are running the Aqua Hot to satisfy the requirements, turn the thermostat to a temperature that will activate the heat exchangers. This exercises those, at the register, and it exercises the pumps in the Aqua Hot. Only need to do it for a 1 minute or so.
  18. Puffer fish is a delicacy that has to be specially prepared by a trained chef. Would I take the chance. Nope! Guantanamo Bay Cuba 1971-1974. They did not have a "sanctioned" SCUBA course like NAUI or PADI, but they did have their own course. It was so rigid that carrying a GTMO Reef Raiders diving card in the states one could get a tank full of air with no problems. Just show the card. (Now-a-days probably don't even need a card.) About 5 or 6 months after I got there PADI was the course. I became a Dive Master and then an Assistant Instructor with PADI and just kept a basic NAUI card (took that course also - but basically assisted the instructor for the card.) Diving there was fantastic. If one wanted, they never had to go deeper than 30 feet for fantastic sea life and coral reefs. One beach had 70 foot bottom at about 50 yards and then the Continental Shelf for the drop-off. (That's why the Nave loves that port for training.) Earlene took the basic PADI and then the Night Diving course. After two night dives with one having a barracuda swim by her mask, and another night of a shark almost coming face to face with her - she gave up night diving. Hee hee! Back in the States in '74. Let the assistant instructor card expire as there was not much other than a few wrecks to dive on and insurance was going up. Kept the Dive Master card and still have it. No expiration date. I don't have any intentions of diving any day soon. 🤠
  19. The cheek of the fish is a delicacy in many part of the world. You don't get much but it is good. Even some poisonous fish cheek is good to eat. Don't remember which kind. Comes from my Scuba Diving days in the Caribbean. Not much out of the ocean is not edible.
  20. DB, what sauce are you on, I want some. Fish head soup, for sure.
  21. Dang! Never had those limits when I was growing up. Oh well!
  22. I took one apart. Pretty well sealed in with electrical sealant. Very hard like a glue. I would not attempt to fix one.
  23. In my teens one didn't need a permit, just go dig. Somewhere along the line politicians noticed they could make money off of permits - and so goes the story. p.s., question: Do they put a limit on how many you can harvest?
