I used to carry the Winegard Carryout. A small portable dome antenna. I did not have a rooftop satellite dish with my prior MH. The carryout worked flawlessly. Only on a few occasions was I completely blocked by trees or obstacles. However, with any portable or rooftop dome antenna there are limitations. The Carryout only found 1 satellite at a time. It was automatic so that when I tuned to a channel that required a different satellite (Dish Network, 110, 119 and 129 birds) it was automatic and basically instantaneous. There were occasions when I could only get one satellite or two. Satellite 129 was typically the culprit because of trees or obstacles. All in all, I would recommend the Carry Out antenna. It is also DIP switch programmable for Dish, Direct, or Bell satellites. One other problem that may be encountered with a dome antenna, is for DirecTV it only received 101 and 119 which may not cover their HD broadcasts. With Dish Network HD is covered. the Carryout has outputs for two TV's but only one satellite at a time can be received. So if you are watching on channel in the living room and want to watch another in the bedroom, both channels have to be sent by the same satellite. I never used the two tv connector output and just re-wired the BOMB with a splitter for the bedroom. What ever was on one tv was on the other. Check the Winegard web site for specifications on other models they have to see if they fit your requirements. Yes, portability gives you the ability to move the antenna to possibly get away from obstructions. I guess that is the short answer.😀 p.s., I believe DISH satellite 72˚ carries all of dish's programming so maybe a selection of those, like the Pathway X2. The Pathway X2 will satisfy a two TV requirement for different channels. p.p.s., an open faced dish with triple LNB mounted on a tripod would also be portable. Sometimes (in my case many times) they can be difficult to set up to acquire the satellite(s).

I caught mine in my 2008 with Freightliner chassis before it started doing that. That year they had a problem with the neck of the gauge where the air line hooks up. They replaced the gauge and I never had another problem. After stopping and shutting down the engine my wife with her ability to hear an fly "toot" on top of a flag pole said she heard a hissing sound. It was slight but it was there. Investigation found the line around the gauge leaking. Reach up and slightly move that line around the gauge area and see if you hear air escaping. As Jim pointed out, could be the wiring harness. Make sure the harness is seated in all positions. If they are not seated, when you push them in there will be a "click" of the holding springs.

I just called Five Flags RV park to see how they are doing. It is my go-to-place if they have a spot and the military sites are full. Five Flags is full right now. They just got electricity back yesterday.

So what happened. Did you grow around the teeth!😇 -
Apple TV also allows you to stream pictures and videos (Mirroring) your phone, tablet or computer. Of course having all Apple products makes it a lot easier. WiFi is mot necessary to stream from devices using Apple TV. Apple TV is my preferred method when satellite is down.

There definitely is a cult following. My neighbor just traveled up to the panhandle, then down to the valley and just to visit Bucee's. His goal is to visit everyone of them in the State of Texas. p.s., it is 60,000 Sq Ft. -

Had Safe-T-Plus on my 2008. Great device. Highly recommended by me. I plan on getting one installed on the present one as soon as I can. Safe-T-Plus has developed a stabilizer for the IFS systems.

Michelin XZE tires - are they good for a Class A ?
wayne77590 replied to seeburg220's topic in Tires
In VN you could get flip-flops made from tires that if the strap didn't break would last a lifetime. I don't remember seeing a brand name as they were all made from the tread but I'll wager some were from the Michelin trees!! 🙂 -
Based on the projected path, we stayed home. Galveston, 14 miles from us, was under mandatory evacuation, as were some other Texas town. We expected some outer bands here and we have friends in Port Arthur, TX and neither them or us had any rain and no surge. We didn't even have wind. Went grocery shopping today in Kemah, TX at a WM and there were maybe a dozen or so people shopping. Was nice. Thank you Lord.

I have a couple of motion detector Ring Stick-up cameras and they work great. Only time they access the internet is if there is motion and then it notifies you. They are table top or wall mounted. Nice feature about the table top is that you can move it anywhere so in a motorhome you could set it so it only sees motion at the door but if you want to see the dogs walking by, that could be in the "zone" also.

I call roadside assistance and tell the everything about my tire and have them bring me one.

Michelin XZE tires - are they good for a Class A ?
wayne77590 replied to seeburg220's topic in Tires
Michelin tires are made in many countries and first appeared in France by two Michelin brothers. They do have factories in China. How would one know where the tire came from. Might be able to tell from the bar code on the tire. China is 690–699 but only on a 13 number bar code.. -
Wonder about the shadows. Also wonder why one picture has two white lines and the next only one!

If it is hinged it could be the hinges themselves that have sagged. Try replacing the hinges. If you lift up on the door when you close it does it close with dragging? --- back to hinges.

The Blue Sticky Tack doesn't work? It is a putty like substance and you tear off as much as you need, fold it like dough, stick it to the object and stick it to the wall. I have used that stuff on some pretty shiny surfaces. Just make sure the surface is clean of debris and oils - use alcohol. Loctite Fun Tac is another name. It can also be used to hold down items on counters for when you are moving down the highway.

I know RV'ers that have 2000, 2001 coaches and they are i perfect condition. Find one of them or newer and you are good to go.

If you do the fastest route it is 5442 miles and will take 80 hours. That would be14 days at about 8 hours a day just driving to make the trip. The fastest route will have tolls. Then consider the stopping, resting, stretching and eating and those hours will increase or the amount of days will increase. It is 2438 miles to Bend and then 3001 miles to Venice. That is a lot of ground to cover in two months. Yes it is doable especially if all you want to do is get there and visit with no sight seeing and then it will depend on the length of your visit. Thirty six hours to get to Bend, non-stop with a two week visit in Bend. then 44 hours non-stop to get to Venice, FL. You'll have a little time to stop and smell the roses. By non-stop I'm implying 8 hours a day and not counting rest stops. Doable, but not my choice.

Some RV parks have a limit on the age of a MH and typically 10 years or newer are allowed to stay. Some will let you stay with a 10 year old RV but require a picture and have the option of turning you away when you show up. If the coach is in "looking good" condition you can stay. There are some that just use the 10 year old rule and it is written in there stone! So, judge accordingly and make your decisions of how many years you want to travel and if you can purchase another one sometime down the road that is newer.

Well, my coach does everything automatically if I have the thermostat program set properly. In manual mode the generator has priority. When I plug in my surge protector this is about a 2 and 1/2 or more minute delay before it kicks in. I thump on the coach and DW turns AC's off - waits a full minute or more, then turns the generator off. At this time nothing is power up except maybe by inverter. Pedestal power kicks in, I thump on the coach and DW turns AC's back on. Now, I have my thermostat programmed for loss of power and battery level less than 12.2 volts. In either of those two cases the Auto Generator Start will kick in. The auto load function on the generator will keep things from running until it cycles up then the AC's will kick back on. However, if power at the pedestal is restored the generator will turn off and the pedestal power takes over and there is no loss of AC power or cycling. It has to be magic.
