  1. Since we have two sides, tipping ca cause the water on the up-side to possibly stay on the slide. So, I now raise the front up a few inches and let the water drain off the back side. You do need tight toppers though, or either method will just have the water still puddling in the middle. Some people put beach balls under the toppers to raise the center. I've never done that, nor do I think I will.
  2. Just tell her she doesn't have to remind you every 6 months! My wife would most likely say, every time we left the MH, "Is the switch on?"
  3. It's not the slide seal it is the wiper seal that could need replacing but I don't think that will be your case. Our manual, specific of course to our MH, says to tilt the MH and then bring the slide in if there has been rain. PIA, but works. It is especially true if there has been a blowing rain and it gets under the topper. As for the topper, when you pull in the slide you will see the water running of the edge. Stop the slide and wait for it to subside, the start retracting again and repeat if necessary. As for leveling the answer to see what the manual says, or contact the manufacturer is the best answer. In my case it is level first, then extend. The reason is that if the coach is out of level it puts a strain on the the slide because it is torqued one way or the other and can be damaged. Again - specific to my MH. Regarding my comment on "slide seal." The slide seal is a gasket that runs around the entire periphery of the slide and is on the inside frame edge of the slide. There are two for each slide. One on the inside and one on the outside. When the slide is retracted, from the inside feel up above or on the side of the slide and you can feel the rubber gasket. On the outside when the slide is extended you can look and see the gasket on the inside of the slide, outside edge. The wiper seal stays in place. I know, I know, semantics shemantecs. Just setting the record straight.
  4. Warren, Send an email to the DMV explaining the situation. They may come back with a reply that would cover you by showing the learners permit and the email they send back to you. If not, you haven't lost anything as the worse you can get for asking is a, "No!"
  5. Carl, go to the "Daily Rates" page and there is a list of fuel companies that have the TSD discount. Stripes is not one of them but that doesn't mean the page does not have to be updated either.
  6. Interesting! My battery is the last compartment in the rear on the driver side. I'd run some heavy gauge wire underneath with tie-wraps to a spot where I could get in. In the old days we plugged CB holes with a 3/4 inch grommet. If we wanted to run a coax through it we would "X" slit it and push the coax through. Of course it required a 3/4" hole. Same could be used for a power line. Just find a spot through the floor or firewall to drill the hole. Also, look at the wiring harness that goes through the firwall and see if there is space enough in that grommet for a cable. KE5QG
  7. Oops! Forgot! Let me add that I have the TSD EFS card also. Loves used to be 40 cents a gallon at most stations but recently went to 16 cents at all stations that are corporate owned. The independent stations flying the Love's sign do not have to give discounts or adhere to Love's pricing. Same for PFJ, etc. Some TA and Petro stations are giving over 80 cents discounts but I have no recall as to what the pump price was. Let me look it up. The daily rates for the 10th are higher than Love's 16 cents at TA and Petro. TSD sent out a daily rates link several months ago.
  8. Bill, check your eyesight. Hee hee! Besides, Carl was Army and everyone knows they can't count past 4.😇
  9. Richard (Doc), loved having your particular talent close by. Thank you. I thought the army was called GRUNTs (Ground Replacement Usually Not Trained)
  10. This subject is being bashed on other forums. Richard summed it up real good on one of them. I feel this thread is going to drag on and on and on, and I'll probably be one of the contributors. Bill, my philosophy is that any discount no matter how small is better than no discount at all. When I need or want fuel, I stop at the nearest truck stop and get it. I'm not a millionaire, nor even an inkling close to being one, but if the station doesn't have a discount and I pay $0.40 more per gallon for 100 gallons, I'm sure my pocketbook can come up with the extra $40. If not, I'll borrow from Earlene - she's money bags anyhow. Looking at the TSD site there are some stations out there giving over $0.80 discount so I guess it all comes out with the wash and evens out if one can stop at those larger discount places the next time.
  11. Here is the TSD Link Most TA and Petro's are about are double or MORE than what Love's is giving.
  12. Love's used to give a 40 cent discount but just recently all Love stations have a standard EFS card discount of 16 cents. That's the difference between your $2.14 and $1.98 discount. TA and Petro now have the better discounts with the EFS card through TSD Logistics.
  13. Hey, leave the south out of this. Last comment for Ray. Undo the linkage to the step motor. Let the step go in and bungee it instead of leaving it out when you travel, that is if your bones can take it. Put a blanket on the rocks. In keeping with the tradition of staying on subject, I offer this. Because of the COVID19 and travel restrictions depicted in the map of the OP, we decided prior to cancel our Summer trip. the link shows the areas we were going to as being high travel risks. So there!
  14. JoelGrey only had 1 post. Wonder if he'll be back. Let's not get carried away with the OP as Joel was referring to HULU only.
  15. Ray, Turn your master service switch off. Pull gently on the step and see if it comes out. Either way, turn the master switch back on and see if it works. I don' know for sure the 2000 model will reset that way but it's worth the try.
  16. How the heck do they know what zip code you are in. You can turn off locations services for Hulu, or any other app that requires it. Use a web browser and use a VPN and you can be anywhere you want to be.
  17. Anytime I roll into a place that has a sign that says, "No Exhaust Brakes," or "No Jake Brakes," I have to admit that I totally disregard them. The exhaust or Jake brakes are safety issues. They stop my GVWR 45,600 pound MH towing a car a lot faster when I do have to apply the brakes than if they were off. The ordnance is to placate the people who have complained about the noise. Yes, the 18 wheelers are very noisy compared to my MH. On the other hand, if I turn it off and the just downshift - I get basically the same stopping power and the SAME noise.
  18. Yep, a quick look under the coach should confirm IFS or non-IFS.
  19. My system is AF1 but the brake lights are hooked to the umbilical cord and they dome on when the exhaust brake is on. I have a two stage, is that exhaust of jake?
  20. I can't believe I missed that one Bill. I wonder how he moves it, and does he have to move it back the next week? I wonder if that is piled high and deep!!
  21. I don't know. I asked the person who did it but she said they have changed a lot of things and she would not go back to them.
