Richard, Look at the 295/80R22.5 it is a little smaller than the 315 and according to this calculator spins at 491 rpm to the mile. It should help with clearance problems to. https://tiresize.com/comparison/ Bill

The difference would be so small you couldn't tell. More like new tiers over worn and a change in air preshure. Bill

I am for the self insured camp. I have heard to many horror stories. of them denying coverage over minor issues. Then you are out the cost of the insurance and the cost of the repair. You might consider finding a good teck to do a inspection. I am betting with the low milage and if you are diligent in doing maintenance you should be ok. Just as a example I have a 2003 coach with 91,000 miles. in the last 6 years I have replaced the convection /microwave $425.00 and a air conditioner fan motor. $118.00 and one air hose for about $275.00 (road side issue.) I think I would have some money left in the bank verses $6294.00 for insurance that doesn't always cover everything. Bill

Have you looked at the Continental pricing? I have been happy with my Continentals, I did save over $100.00 each over the Michelin pricing. Bill

Drastically reduced water flow in motorhome
wildebill308 replied to Pete's topic in Water and Holding Tanks
Good, glad it was something simple. Be sure to get plenty of the sanitizing mix in the hot water heater. That is the most likely place for the smell to be coming from. Bill -
Welcome to the forum. Like Brett said. ADP. I am surprised they didn't want to sell you the Scotchguard for the furniture and carpet. I bet anything they can do you can do it better and cheaper. Just curious how much is this amazing wax? Bill

Auto Changeover LP regulator failures
wildebill308 replied to acousticart's topic in Systems and Appliances
I am going to bet on the 2 stage regulator. I think Brett has a good idea in using 2 ball valves so you can isolate either tank. That way you can run on one tank till you need to take it to be refilled then just switch to the outher tank. It will still be automatic in that you will automatically change the tanks if you are cold. Bill -
Drastically reduced water flow in motorhome

Welcome to the forum. If the smell continues try sanitizing the system especially the hot water tank. There is a bacteria that loves the hot water and produces a strong odor. Do a search there are several threads about it. Yes, checking the screens is a good place to start including the ones on the faucets. I use a filter on my water inlet (city water) The blue "Camco 40043 TastePURE Inline Water Filter" helps reduce bad taste from the water. It also keeps the silt and outher junk out of my system. Something else I recommend, ok 2 things, Camco 90 Degree Hose Elbow- eliminates stress strain on RV water intake hose fittings. You need a water preshure regulator with a gage like this one. "Esright Brass Water Pressure Regulator Lead-Free with Gauge." https://www.amazon.com/Esright-Pressure-Regulator-Lead-Free-Adjustable/dp/B075RRCWGD/ref=asc_df_B075RRCWGD/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=242006903502&hvpos=1o1&hvnetw=g&hvrand=17411269382575160732&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9027284&hvtargid=pla-395827532630&psc=1 Let us know what you find. I don't use one as they can cause damage to the paint under them when dirt/dust gets under them. Acts just like fine sandpaper. I think it is anouther product like the vinyl/plastic coatings that are supposed to protect the front of your coach. I have a 2003 coach and don't have enough chips and dings to worry about. This is in the same class as the protective devices for the toad. Bill

Phoenix American Warranty or Extra Ride

My best advice is to put the money in a savings account. Bill -
Welcome to the forum. You should have fuses not circuit breakers under the seat. You can identify what each fuse does from the diagram in the owner's manual. I would remove the fuse and test it with a meter. Bill

I am confused, say that again? What are you trying to do? Are you plugged into shore power? Bill

Do whatever you want. I saved over $550.00 this year so far. You are right I don't think I will ever get my $45.00 back. Bill

Transmission Indicator Light/Power Loss
wildebill308 replied to susanvenditte@gmail.com's topic in Engines
I would call Inland Truck Parts and talk to them. 9000 E. Highway 290, Austin, TX 78724 inlandtruck.com (512) 454-1488 I don't know what your requirements are for geting it done as a warranty issue and would check on that. Inland is where I would recommend if you were up here, it is where I would go. Bill- 6 replies

You realise to get the low price you have to buy 5 years of coverage or $349.95 up front for the RV coverage. Knowing who owns GS and seeing how well they hid the disclaimers I won't be buying any. In the last 8 years I have had -0- expense for tire repair. Bill

The easiest fix is installing the shutoff valve. See if the vacuum is moving the flopper door to give you defrosters. Some systems default to defrost if the vacuum is lost. 3/4 sounds about right for heater hose, but who knows what they used. Bill

Transmission Indicator Light/Power Loss
wildebill308 replied to susanvenditte@gmail.com's topic in Engines
Hi Jeff, Nice coach. I would take it in as a warranty item. I haven't dealt with any of the Allison shops there as I am in the FortWorth area. Someone may come along with a suggestion. Bill- 6 replies

Who, What, When, Where or Just Lets Talk

I just wanted to report, I had the coach out for a run today and had no problems. As a concession, preventive measure, that we may have some colder weather later( it was 78 today) I have switched to the white bottle of Diesel Kleen. Better to be ready. Bill -
Good idea from Brett on the shut off valve. Something else to check, the system is vacuum-driven and the failure point is where the vacuum hose goes through the AC system on the passenger side. If you look at the vent on the far right side of the passenger side up under the dash, you will see that it is run through the AC system. How to test: the vacuum line runs from the intake on top of the rear of the motor (red vacuum hose) up and across the front of the engine compartment, to the passenger side, changes to a black hose where it dives into the AC system. You can test by disconnecting the hose where it changes from red to black, at the top of the engine compartment, just behind the battery. It is in a notch. If vacuum is there, reconnect and move to the passenger side. The black hose comes through the AC with a grommet sealing it. The line connects to a fitting. Again with the engine running, see if you have vacuum. Let us know if you have vacuum. Bill
