  1. So you don't think the mandated seat belts/shoulder belts will work? Some good ideas out there but we are 40++ years away from anything but a limited use. Who is going to pay for the trillions of dollars in road improvements to make it even remotely possible. They will need to spend much more than that just to keep the roads in the sad state they are in know. Who is going to spend that money when it isn't financially feasible to make a profit doing it. Please explain to me how you are going to convince a trucking company to spend the millions for a computer driven truck when they can spend less than $100,000 a year on a driver that does the same thing. Perfect example Uber bragging about starting a taxi service with self driving cars is a pipe dream. Uber can't afford to do it. When they get rid of the drivers they get rid of the cars. The drivers own the cars. So now what. Bill
  2. Are you saying you are in Sioux Falls, SD ? If so where are you staying? Bill
  3. David, can you hearer any noise when you activate the switch? I would start with looking for the fuse for it. There was a post not long ago about something similar, maybe you can do a search. Let us know what you find. Bill
  4. Duck tape is your friend. It would have to work better. May have ben what was causing the drip. Pulling humid air in and condensing on places that weren't over the drip pan. Some times a partially clogged filter will cause a drip to. Bil
  5. It is in my signature. You won't be able to see it if you are using Chrome. You can add your coach to your signature. MOT is a good place to find nice coaches. This summer looked at the Travel Supreme they had but couldn't get together on the deal. I have an 2003 Bounder. Bill
  6. Nice coach. Where did you buy it? Was it Motorhomes of Texas? Bill
  7. This won't stop it but will calm it down. No set torque just tighten till the bushings are compressed a little. Look at the picture I posted you can see the bushing bulging a little. Bill
  8. Joe, I seem to remember there being a clean out in the basement where the line goes out the wall. Digging may be your only option. Bill
  9. Being in the frigid north you may not have one outside. Do you have a basement? You could add one with a little pick and shovel work. Dig down and add a T to your sewer line. Bill
  10. Just so you know it isn't that hard to do and you don't need any special tools. I could have done it in 15-20 minuets but spent time cleaning and painting. There is no load on the arms when just setting there. Bill
  11. Well you know me. What engine do you have? What is the engine serial number? I did a little looking and Cummins list 17.6-20.8 QT for the 6.7 I am betting you are ok using 20 qt. It would look like the previous owner or shop has done the research. Let me know what you find out. One other way is to call Fleetwood with your coaches serial number handy and they can tell you. Bill
  12. This should be a link to my post on changing muy bushings. http://community.fmca.com/topic/8004-sway-bar-bushings-bad/ Bill
  13. Any place you have a penetration can leak. There was a thread awhile ago about the seam where the roof and sidewall met I think Winnebago has a problem if you don't keep up with the caulk in that joint. Little things like the roof peeling off. Bill
  14. Yes but it was gone before and just showed up on the web site again a couple of weeks ago. I wonder what the storey was. I still see some issues but lots of coach for the money. Bill
  15. On my bounder I did notice a definite improvement in sway control. Bill
  16. This goes to your question about buying used. Now that you have looked at new Foretravel go look at this one. http://motorhomesoftexas.com/coachrv/foretravel/2013--ih45--45--P1266 or this one. http://motorhomesoftexas.com/coachrv/foretravel/2008--nimbus--42Torino--C2030 Here is anouther instance of a premium coach that is available for a reasonable price now. http://motorhomesoftexas.com/coachrv/newell_coach/2001--newell--45--C1922 This is the Newell factory web site. http://www.newellcoach.com/ So yes I think used is the way to go.. Bill
  17. Well actually you did not look up Foretravel you looked up Motorhomes of Texas. A dealership that happens to deal in used Foretravel coaches. By the way they are about a half mile down the road from the factory. What you need to look at is http://foretravel.com/ I think they are doing ok in marketing. Bill
  18. When you went to quick serve did you register your engine serial number? If you did it should give you just information on your build. Look at the pan it will show capacity for your engine then you may need to look at the oil filter to get capacity of the filter. When I do my engine it comes out to 19q for the pan and 1q for the filter so 20 quart total. With your 2010 coach you may not see the oil splatter common with the older coaches that had a slobber tube. Bill
  19. Tom glad you are enjoying the nice cool weather in Indy. I went down to where I keep my coach and decided I needed to mow some grass. I turned on the AC and it was about 94 inside. 2 hours later when I decided I had mowed all I was going to for the day it was 74 inside. It definitely felt GREAT as it was up to 97 outside. Great advise on using awnings and window shades. finding a spot to camp with shade is also a big plus. Bill
  20. What does being over 40feet have to do with anything? Bill
  21. At the last rally we had some one selling a clean out service for your gray and black tanks. I spent some time watching what he did and how it worked. He had a special hi pressure pump set up with a hose and adapters where he could hi pressure clean your tanks. There was a clear section in the drain hose so you could see what was broken loose and flushed out. The first coach had a macerator installed. He got a lot of "stuff" out of that one including the gray tank. The second coach used the standard 3" hose and only dumped when 3/4 full and had a black tank spray built in. He got nearly nothing out of those tanks. I think for some special applications it may be beneficial to have a portable macerator to use. I have seen that you don't get the complete dump with one you get using the 3" hose. I will stick to my old fashion 3" hose setup. Bill
  22. I bought a older DP and have had nearly no problems. I might upgrade by buying a older coach. I do know where there is a 2001 Newell that is getting closer to my price point. Bill
  23. My standard practice when I had a propane refrigerator was to turn it on (auto)2 days before I left and turn it off 2 days after I got home. Bill
