  1. I have seen it in several states. The Town Pump - Flying J Travel Center just west of Missoula, MT has 4 different diesel products on each pump. Red number 2, 50/50 biodiesel, winter number 1 and plain old number 2. That is the first time I have heard of a RV geting tested. Bill
  2. Keon, I am with you there should be no way you don't know you are filling up with RED. There maybe some that dumb that they don't know but it is pretty hard to miss the signage at the pumps I have seen at truck stops. It is possible he just thought he would get by buying the cheapest diesel at the pump. Bill

  4. Yes haven't you heard the term "clean machine". Bill
  5. Please try again. El Paso is on I-10. South out of El Paso will put you in Juarez. I think you will just have to watch the wearer reports as you get ready to leave and adjust your travel to fit the conditions, including staying put till there is a break in the weather. The I-40 to I-30 would probbabley be the way I would go unless you are nervous about the weather. You could go straight south to I-10. Look at from Nashville I-65 to Birmingham then I-20 to Meridian, MS where you could drop down to New Orleans and pick up I-10. Yes it is longer but you can spend a few days in NO. That's never a bad thing. I got to quit now I am thinking about Beignets at Cafe Dumonde http://www.cafedumonde.com/beignets Then you are on track for San Antonio or drop down to the Gulf coast for some seafood. If you go far enough south you are in the Rio Grand Valley Snowbird capital of Texas, we don't need no Arizona. Bill
  6. I don't have a spot in that area. I would use RV park reviews and RV parky to look for one. http://www.rvparkreviews.com/ http://www.rvparky.com/ What s your planned route and time frame? We had some cold weather in Fort Worth but by Tuesday it will be in the 70's so the weather may be moderating along I-40. Bill
  7. I would call Fleetwood right now. 800-322-8216 Pull the cover off the thermostat there may be a fuse inside. Take it out and check it. I have a 12v fuse panel and some circuit breakers in the foot of the bed platform. Bill
  8. Walt, I had a 2017 Ford Fusion 2.7 ecoboost for a rental over the holidays I was impressed with the car and it had a pretty big trunk for it's size. I would put it in the mix if I was looking to replace my CR-V. Bill
  9. If you are going to try to start the main engine I would turn on the block heater tonight if possible. but at least a couple of hours before. Bill
  10. I would look into that. Most coaches have a connection where after the house batteries are at full charge they ill charge the start batteries. What makes me think something is wrong is most coaches start the generator off the house batteries. Some have an auto start system to start the generator before the batteries get to low. Bill
  11. The question now is why didn't, at least your generator start with the house batteries connected using the switch. By the way if I need to use the house batteries I need someone to push the start or hold the switch. On my coach the battery connect is a temporary switch and I can't reach both switches at the same time. Gotta love people who design coaches. Bill
  12. What are your house batteries? If they are 6v lead acid golf cart, I would check the water level. Find out why your inverter isn't charging your batteries. Bill
  13. I am leaning toward bad batteries too. How old are your batteries? No you didn't do anything that would hurt your batteries. I don't know if the deal is still running but I bought new original equipment start batteries from Freightliner for $69.00 each. I would call and see if they still have them for that price. Bill
  14. Do you have it plugged into shore power? Do you have access to power for a battery charger? What do you mean by "all chassis services not effective"? How old are your batteries? What kind of batteries, lead acid, or maintenance free or other? As Rich said I would clean all battery connections including grounds. We need this information to make suggestions relevant to your situation. Bill
  15. I wasn't clear, you plugged the hard wired power cord (it was only 30 amp) into shore power or into the generator. No transfer switch. Bill
  16. I think the silicone spray is the best method. Herman, I can just see his next post "soap bubbles coming out of window track when it rains". Bill
  17. I had a older coach that was like Obed's. Mine was a 26 ft 1978 Executive by Monaco. You had to plug the shore power into the generator. Bill
  18. Make sure all the valves are in the right position and fully open or closed. I had an instance where the bypass valve wasn't fully closed it allowed more cold water to flow than hot If I remember it didn't have much volume either. Bill
  19. Welcome to the forum and sorry to hear about your loss. Let us know what the investigation turns up. Bill
  20. Happy New Years to you too. Keep an eye out for where the Forum meet and greet will be. As they say "to be announced". Bill
  21. Welcome to the forum. What you are seeing "melted green plastic or glue" is likely a epoxy glue of some kind. Is the hinge glued to the hood to? The only problem is going to be clamping the hinge in the right place/location when re installing. Clean and sand both surfaces and clean with acetone. You can use one of several 2 part adhesives. Hear is one idea. https://www.amazon.com/3M-Scotch-Weld-Epoxy-Adhesive-DP100/dp/B0074N8HS8 JB might hold as a alternative glue. Bill
  22. Walt, welcome to the forum. The FMCA towing guide shows it to be towable (manual transmission) but Remco show it to be towable on a dolly only. They only show the Kia Rio and not the hybrid. With the owner's manual saying no I would be looking at something else. There maybe something with the "Hybrid" part causing problems. Bill
  23. Try looking here for a kit. http://www.ebay.com/bhp/shurflo-pump-parts Bill
  24. Welcome to the forum. Hopefully when the Continental program comes online it will provide some leverage to improve the Michelin advantage program. When I was buying the tires for my CR-V I learned there are several "levels" to the Advantage program. You can start your own program. While I wasn't in the market right now I ran the price for 255/80/22.5 XVR Price from dealer was $594.34 price through FMCA $503.10. I can't find the quote for the other ones but it was about half the savings as the 255 tires. I agree there doesn't seem to be a set % discount. Bill
  25. At least you have them for reference if you have a problem. Bill
